Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe location, grounds, staff & facilities were exceptional. If there were any negatives, it was a lack of thorough cleaning (there were personal Items left from the previous guests still in the suite on our arrival). The floors weren’t cleaned, with dirt marks and dead insects. These were minor issues and would not stop us from returning or recommending The Haven to family & friends.

AustraliaThe hotel is off the main shopping and eating streets in Seminyak. We arrived and left in the early hours of the morning and the staff was there ready to check in and out with a smile on their faces. When you walk into the lobby you look out over the pool which has lots of plants and trees around and the lighting in the evenings is very well done. The room was spacious and comfortable, massive bed, decent bathroom, comfy mattress and pillows. The service was 10/10 and the pool area was also 10/10. We had room service and food and drinks by the pool and everything we had was tasty and very reasonably priced. Overall it’s good value for money. We would definitely stay again.

AustraliaThe beds mattress were a little hard.
Right in the heart of Seminyak and only about 10 minute walk to the beach…Bintang Supermarket was very close by and has everything you could ever need! Breakfast spread was amazing with an omelette station. Lovely staff and we stayed in a pool access room. Open the doors and jump into the pool which had a pool bar with delicious cocktails. We loved staying here as it’s great value for your money. We would definitely stay again!

NetherlandsWe often stay at The Haven. This time we booked a Deluxe room with balcony. We got an upgrade to a premium room with pool access on the groundfloor. Very nice of the staff. However, if you like to open the curtains in the morning and still want privacy, like we, then a room on 2nd or higher floor is better. Now the curtains had to stay closed, or people can see you in the room. If you want direct access to the pool of course great room. So next time we ask for room with balcony 😉. But our stay was great, welcome fruit, comfortable room and great breakfast. Staff is excellent. We come back soon

United KingdomThe rooms are tired and the balcony door did not shut. There is no storage space or drawers. There is a lot of wasted space where drawers could go. It was so noisy at night with the bar nearby that it affected my sleep

AustraliaThere was a lot of noise as they were renovating part of the building on the first floor, even though it was not early morning it was just near the pool area and it was difficult to relax. I hope they finish soon.
Breakfast was fantastic, everyday they have something different in the main menu, plus the usual selection of American breakfast. It is very centric to Seminyak beach and a lot of restaurants and shops around. The Suite with 2 bedrooms and a nice view from the 4th floor.

AustraliaBreakfast was very, very average, not a huge choice, basic for sure (even have to pay extra if you want a cappuccino etc). The only negative I have on a wonderful stay.
Lovely room, super friendly and helpful staff, decent pools. Good value, convenient location to shops, walkable to the beach.

United KingdomHaven, unlike many places, is refurbishing and maintaining its buildings constantly. I do think a bit of attention is needed to ensure that rooms that are looking somewhat jaded, are done promptly, especially the suites, that have the premium rates. I did see a number of other reviews similarly written. For the most part, this is a superb resort and considering the ongoing refurbishments, will remain so. As a keen environmentalist, less disposable bathroom products would be good. Refillable glass shower gel and shampoo dispensers would be good. I've been diving around S E Asia for over 25 years so would love to see real steps to reduce plastic significantly.
Firstly, the staff around Haven make stays there, extremely pleasant. I include the breakfast staff, Sugi, Darma and the many others, as well as the friendly and efficient housekeeping teams, the pool attendants and the gardeners. I've stayed so often here that some have become friends. And Yasa, Sara and Pardite are always a pleasure to see again. Staff in Bali are probably the nicest of any of the many countries I've travelled around but those at Haven, around the hotel, are especially good. I stayed at Haven Suites, which is separate from the hotel. I did have an issue with one suite (at that price level,) but Adhi, the guest liaison agent soon resolved the issue. Not all places even try to do this, so I give a lot of credit to Haven for this fast resolution. The Suites are being refurbished and the one I was moved to was excellent. It's a very attractive building. The pool and pool area are very nice at the Suites and the water is always clean and the pool area and gardens immaculate.A super Koi Carp pond also. The breakfast is very good, with a wide choice and the staff there first rate. Haven Suites also has a quiet reception/lobby area and a more relaxed feel to the hotel. It really is a very relaxing place to spend time. I've had around 40-50 long trips to Bali and have often stayed at Haven. I would always look at Haven Suites as one of my most preferable options on future trips to that part of Bali. A big thank you to all of the staff I met during my latest 3 week stay there and a special thank you to Adhi.

SingaporeRoom for improvement - housekeeping could be better. For examples, replacing the hotel's shower/shampoo/conditioner daily, and guests have extra toilet rolls. In addition, ensure that the soap dish is cleaned daily and replaced with new soap. We opened one soap when checked in for hand washing, and the same bar of soap was on the soap dish throughout our stay, and the soap dish unwashed. Quite unpleasant.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel was beautiful and we felt very welcomed in our stay.

United KingdomBooking requests that are always turned down. Can't even manage a simple early check in, even though I am spending £2,000 here this stay and numerous long stays in the past. Also no control exerted over noisy guests in the hotel part, which I wouldn't stay at again. The Suites are quieter. Too many plastic bathroom containers that will end up in the sea.
Housekeeping and bar/restaurant staff are very polite and charming. The admin staff are consistently and totally inflexible about a slightly earlier check-in even though I knew rooms were vacant. Take that option off the platform as Haven are never capable of arranging it. Breakfasts are good. Pools are very large and nicely designed. Rooms basic but comfortable. Suites definitely need uograding, especially bathrooms and floors. But the Suites part of Haven have spacious apartments. The Hotel rooms, are reasonable sized. The Haven needs to refine the booking requests. If they are always unwilling to complete a simple task, like an earlier off-peak booking, remove the request option. Overall good. The staff around the hotel make the stay pleasant and deserve credit and the kindness of tips.
