Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LuxembourgA heated private pool would have been nice. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.
Remote location, but still well connected with the center Ubud by the shuttle provided, this place is peaceful and you’ll definitely feel spoiled there. The staff is very friendly and kind. The restaurant is very good, too. As well as the SPA.

AustraliaWe stayed in a beautiful villa with a view of the waterfall and jungle. The view was gorgeous. The private pool was cool but lovely and we enjoyed swimming here and in the main area. Nice fresh fruit in the mornings, breakfast included was really tasty. Liked the free shuttle service to go into the center of ubud.

ArgentinaThe prices on the spa were a bit much. A lot of great deals for couples but as a solo traveller was too expensive.
Everything and everyone was amazing. A very warm welcome and an excellent stay. The food in the restaurant is very good and tasty, I had the BBQ night (great value for money and they even let me have the dessert in my room because I was really full haha) and the braised duck (wonderful and very filling). Breakfast is huge!

United StatesThe resort, location, food, cleanliness were excellent but the staff was absolutely extraordinary. The front desk and the restaurant staff took the time to get to know me and my daughter, always welcomed us back, remembered our names and constantly asked us if we needed anything. There was a time when I had lunch by myself and immediately, they thought my daughter wasn't feeling well. They offerred to bring her food to the room. I told them that she was taking a nap :) I'm so glad I booked this resort. It was worth the $$$ and I cannot think of anything that I didn't like. I would 100% go back to this place again and would highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you staff at Kayun Resort!! You made our trip in Bali a great one!!

United StatesThe only two things we didn't like were in our room facilities. There was no separate room or privacy for the toilet which had glass walls for some strange reason and the bathroom didn't have doors or shutters. And getting in. and out of the pool was tough as there was just one huge step to get in and out. These things are easily fixed so hopefully they will. Generally we didn't love the street traffic in Bali and Ubud but when you get back to Kayon it is so serene and beautiful, like a spa vibe. Some might want a little more liveliness, but it is geared for couples and romance.
This is a beautiful canyonside resort with stunning views across the canyon from the pool and views of the waterfall from various points in the resort. The staff are all so sweet, patient and kind. The suite with the pool was fantastic and we could see monkeys playing in the forest from our private pool. The breakfast everyday was fantastic with fresh juices and coffee drinks made.

United KingdomThe only slight upset was that on departure, we were accused of stealing a face cloth, to the point that a member of reception ran to our taxi to say that housekeeping has reporting a missing face cloth and where had we put it. Now, when you’ve paid a lot of money, to stay in this sort of hotel, to be accused of stealing a face cloth, really left a bad lasting impression. Drinks and food were relatively expensive compared to Ubud restaurants We visited the Kayon Jungle, this resort had a very different vibe. If you’re looking for relaxation and a small personal resort, the Kayon is for you. The Jungle resort was full of Instagram type people, taking lots of pictures and not really living in the moment. Was nice to visit for an afternoon but so glad we stayed at the Kayon Resort.
Amazing location- just outside of the very centre of Ubud but easily accessible with Gojek The staff were incredible The breakfast and food was brilliant, the breakfast was 3 courses! Very comfortable rooms, large bed, great aircon Presentation of the room upon arrival- honeymoon decorations were beautiful Toiletries in the room were lovely. The room was cleaned daily The infinity pool was lovely and clean and the view was amazing.

United KingdomThe resort itself is so romantic and beautiful but the staff are the best you will ever experience. Blown away. They can’t do enough for you! We returned on our honeymoon after getting engaged there in 2022. I love the extras you get on check in including free massage and photo shoot. It’s so quiet and relaxing only 23 rooms enables it to be a really personal experience. The staff are incredible.

South AfricaNothing at all, everything was perfect!
The Kayon resort literally feels like you're in another world. It is so peaceful and enchanting, with the beautiful and scenic pool that makes you feel like you're bathing in a waterfall surrounded by greenery. The food was also really good every morning for breakfast. The rooms are insanely clean and premium. We were so comfortable and felt like we were being spoilt. Travelling as only women in a foreign country can feel daunting but we were blow away by the respect and kindness we found in all the staff. I have a really bad phobia of geckos, and Bali has them everywhere. The staff and management came to our room several times, sometimes past 11pm to help find the geckos and remove them from our room. They even then moved us to another room located near the water and away from the trees, so that we wouldn't have any geckos finding their way into our room. They made us feel right at home, were so accommodating and kind even though they really did not need to go above and beyond just to make me feel more comfortable despite my phobia. This was the best place to stay at in Ubud. I miss it already and was so sad to leave!!!! Kayon, thank you for treating us like princesses! Crystal Frank

Everything was perfect, room was comfortable, bathroom was beautiful, pool was fantastic and almost always empty, spa was luxurious, restaurant was delicious, staff were SOOOOO nice, location on the river gorge was stunning. Truly no comments for improvement. The hotel wasn't necessarily the most polished or fancy feeling I've ever seen, but it had so much character, that it might be my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at.

United StatesNothing. Great spot
This property is beautiful and a welcome quiet respite from the throngs of people and scooters in Ubud. Set in the jungle with all the sounds of birds and insects, and the lovely sound of the river passing below. However, it’s a quick 10-15 minute drive to Ubud center and all the amazing temples and arts and culture. Having breakfast by the waterfall was a treat. Pool was fantastic. Great room with modern facilities. Staff were so helpful and amazing.
