Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing. Honestly the place is excellent. There are a lot of bugs, but that is this part of Bali, and certainly nothing the hotel could do about that (they do have mosquito nets in the rooms which are great!).
The hotel is beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and the atmosphere is one of peace and relaxation. Agung is an absolute diamond and he looked after us so well at meals, or around the pool. We had a villa with a pool (saw 20 monkeys in the jungle from the pool one day!), and also had the dinner/movie night that the hotel offers and Gomboh was excellent. I could talk to how excellent loads of the staff were, but honestly, the place is a slice of heaven.

United KingdomAmazing stay in Ubud, Bali. From start to finish the staff were unbelievably friendly and really couldn’t do enough for us, and the grounds/rooms are beautiful - especially the pool area. Food was well presented and delicious.

United Arab EmiratesNothing.
On our experience with The Kayon Resort, we really like the view, the food, and the services of their employee. The magnificent view of their hotel is a must-see, especially the view of the waterfalls while on your romantic dinner or even breakfast. The food is exquisite. We enjoyed their 7 menu dinner and all of them are 10/10. Complements to the chef 👨🍳 🙌 Lastly, the all staff of The Kayon Resort, their Restaurant, and Spa are all friendly and very accommodating. Shout-out to Gungde who accommodated us during our Romantic Dinner, and Agus who was with us during breakfast in front of the waterfalls.

United KingdomAs everywhere in Ubud, everything is quite damp and humid. It would be great to find a solution to keep bed sheets dry.
We were pleasantly surprised by the delightful cuisine and the enjoyable music and dance performance during dinner.

United KingdomThe odd blogger inanely talking to their phone and pretending they are really happy and sorted before sinking back into loneliness and tears but, hey, it's 2024. Fortunately the Kayon has banned drones.
This was the first place we stayed in Bali (we wanted to avoid Seminyak). We were greeted warmly and graciously on arrival. This is a beautiful establishment, small and peaceful with exceptionally friendly staff and beautiful grounds. Food and cocktails were superb. The regular free transfer to/from Ubud was really useful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Perfect for couples or lone travellers.

CanadaEverything was perfect! We would have loved if they had a refillable water station so we could reduce the water bottles we bought though.
Absolutely stunning property in the jungle, just a 15 minute scooter/drive from the centre of Ubud—far enough to feel completely serene but close enough to explore. One of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. Lovely room, incredible pool, very authentic Balinese charm, amazing staff and service (they all knew our names and room number). Hope I can come back here one day!

United StatesPretty much nothing. We really loved our stay here. Few minor feedback: - Our TV turned on at 6:30am on its own, which was probably an accidental configuration, no big deal :) - Free yoga session only available at 7am which is a bit early for us and the session overall could be improved with more extensive instructions on each movement. Again, no biggie here, it is a free yoga session after all - Spa menu was quite pricey (i.e. on average 1-1.5 million IDR per person for their massages/spa sessions). They do offer 20-30% discount though
- Staff here was exceptional, from the minute you step into the Hotel lobby until the minute you leave, their customer service and attentiveness is unmatched - Amazing infinity pool with the jungle view - Super affordable restaurant menu (Lunch and Dinner), delicious as well - Free services which we enjoyed (e.g. Afternoon tea and dessert, 10 min neck and shoulder massage at their spa, yoga session, morning walking tours to the rice fields) - Delicious and extensive breakfast menu

ChinaMaybe can provide more options for yoga.
It was one of the greatest stay of our trip. I was a bit worried about the noises from the valley or jungle as I am a light sleeper, but it turns out no problem at all. The jungle and overall setup of the resort made us feel very relaxed and we both slept very well in the three nights there. I love the staffs smile and always taking care of you, still leave us with very comfortable space.

Vatican CityOne of the nights there was a mouse or other animal making noises on the bamboo ceiling over our bed, which made it difficult to sleep. But the staff came to check immediately and advised us to keep the light on, and that helped, so we managed to sleep after all.
Everything was wonderful. The staff are so attentive and observant, they anticipate your every need even before making eye contact. We felt extremely pampered by all the staff, and the food was amazing from breakfast to dinner. Their afternoon tea service is also great, with a buffet of desserts and any hot drink you'd like. We were very well taken care of. And the location, wow, it's a beautiful place in the jungle, with lush green views. We even had some monkeys visit our balcony in the morning, which was an amazing experience. But if you're not into that, know what you're singing up for, as the property is in a jungle. If you're looking to experience some of the best service of your life, in a gorgeous place, with great food, and aren't afraid of some creatures visiting sometimes, this is the place for you.

The breakfast had so much to choose from. Recommend to have it at the waterfall at least once. The pool was refreshing and had an awesome outlook to the jungle. The room was perfect and so clean. But the staff were incredible, they made my holiday, no stress, nothing was a problem I was treated like a princess the whole 8 days. I will be back.

United KingdomWow. Amazing stay. Must visit hotel if you're travelling to Ubud. Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast and evening meals were very tasty and worthwhile. A cosy hotel but still, you didn't always see many people until it came to breakfast, lunch or dinner. The spa facilities were also great, definitely recommend to anyone. We also used the shuttle bus provided by the hotel for easy access to the centre of Ubud. We will definitely be visiting again.
