Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaLocation was little secluded and far from the main Ubud Market. The breakfast was very limited as there were not much occupancy on the 2nd day of our stay.
Great staff and well maintained property. The Spa was good and it’s surrounded by lush green forest.

AustraliaThe location was quite awkward, one side is that it’s beautiful and secluded (it’s on top of a valley) but it makes for a long and windy road to get there, great if you want to stay there most of the time. The food was not the best, the bar is high with a lot of places in Bali and it was good not great.
It was incredibly beautiful, a larger venue than I expected, lovely staff and an amazing setting.

United KingdomExcellent stay at Lokha, everything was comfortable and the staff were incredible, always on hand to help if you needed anything. Particularly enjoyed the cooking class they organised for us, and extra care they provided since one of the party was experiencing a slight illness! The spa and yoga shala was also beautiful and excellent service, the overall surrounding is so serene! Location is great, and they have a shuttle into Ubud centre frequently.

I recently stayed at The Lokha Ubud Resort, Villas & SPA and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed to feel comfortable. The bed was incredibly cozy, ensuring a great night's sleep. SPA was amazing-one of the best SPA in Ubud What really stood out to me was the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. From the check-in process to any questions we had during our stay, they made us feel welcomed and valued. Overall, I highly recommend The Lokha Ubud Resort, Villas & SPA for anyone looking for a pleasant stay.

IndonesiaThe entrance door to the villa cannot be locked from outside, sometime when I came back to the hotel from outside the door was open maybe blown by the wind but it's a bit uncomfortable to see that. Even if the door to the room locked perfectly it's just not feel nice to see the door open everytime we came back from our activity outside of the hotel. Lastly, the location is a bit far from the center of Ubud.
The room is very bright and clean. A lot of space to keep 2 big luggages, and the pool is very pretty surrounded by plantation. The service is incredible, everyone greet me by my name, very helpful and attentive. The treatment room in their spa is very beautiful and clean. We took the flower bath and in some place they will just put some flower petals but in here they really filled the tub with flowers, making me feel like a royal. The food is great although they can add some more healthy option, but it's just my preference.

United Arab EmiratesBreakfast & coffee wasn't really to my taste.
Great quiet hotel in the middle of the jungle on the bank of a small mountain river. Spacious rooms with massive balcony & stunning jungle views. At the same time, it's reachable by walking to Ubud city center, 30 mins though Champuhan walk. Also, there is a shuttle from the hotel provided multiple times a day.

United StatesIf there were an award for Hotel Manager of the Year, it would undoubtedly go to Laba, the incredible manager at Lokha Ubud Resort, Villas & Spa in Ubud, Bali. We encountered a small issue during our stay, and Laba handled it with such grace, professionalism, and kindness that it left us speechless. He didn’t just address the situation—he went above and beyond, exceeding any expectations we could have imagined. Laba is not only an excellent hotel manager, but he’s also an exceptional human being. There need to be more people like him running hotels and more souls like his in this world. As part of his effort to ensure our stay was beyond perfect, he offered us a complimentary spa service—and let me tell you, it was something straight out of a movie. The experience was unforgettable, not because of the gesture itself, but because it reflected the incredible character and kindness of Laba. Thank you, Laba, for going out of your way to make us feel welcome and appreciated. I sincerely hope that the owners of Lokha Ubud recognize the exceptional work you’re doing. Your efforts made our stay not just enjoyable, but truly magical. If you’re ever in Ubud, do yourself a favor and stay at Lokha Ubud Resort. And if you’re lucky, you’ll meet Laba, the manager who makes this place shine. #LokhaUbudResort #UbudBali #BaliHotels #HotelManagerOfTheYear #FiveStarService #LuxuryBaliExperience #BestHotelManager #BaliSpaExperience #ExceptionalService #BaliResortReview

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! It is very tranquil, feels like the midst of the jungle. We had a Vila with private pool - amazingly beautiful. But we were often also the only people in the big pool. My son jumped from the stones into the water. Nobody complained that he was too loud or disturbing anyone. There were not so many kids there but we felt very welcome. The yoga area close to the river was also very beautiful and the instructor looked as if she came directly from a movie. We had a few caterpillars visit in the Vila. House keeping came in the middle of the night (10 pm) to take care of it. And we got each 1hour free massage because of the trouble. The spa is great as well!

NetherlandsPillows all too high. The fridge was old and loud we put it off in the night. The water is too hot, you (or don’t want to think of a kid) will get burning wounds from the tap from bath or shower. Outside the tiles next to the pool are a little outdated. The hotel is in an area where they don’t allow shared taxi service like grab (local uber). You have to take the hotel shuttle if you want to leave. The breakfast buffet is every day the same dishes, no surprises.
We had a bungalow with private infinity pool and we enjoyed the privacy of our space. No overlooking. The bed was the best, huge and perfect mattress. A lot of space and storage possibilities in the room. Good TV. Staff all very friendly.

AustraliaThe pool was right next to the restaurant so it was a busy area in the morning. Next time I will pay the extra for a pool villa though, private pool would be amazing.
