Housekeeping staff didn’t consistently replenish my coffee, and twice left my room unlocked after servicing it.

We had the most wonderful time - everything was perfect. We were worried it was too far from the main hub but the free shuttles offered each day made it easy to get in and out, and we liked being in a slightly quieter part of Ubud. Our villa was beautiful and having a pool was such a bonus. Delicious breakfasts each morning looking out at the jungle. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Our son loved feeding all the fish. We were all sad to leave!

We would have enjoyed the outdoor patio more if it hadn’t been for the mosquitoes. The massages weren’t great.

The room was comfortable, the pools clean and wonderful, meals incl. Free breakfast were exceptional, the staff was super friendly and helpful.

A bit dated, a refurbishment of the villa will be great! We stayed in the Jungle Villa .

The Timor Residence is beautiful however the poolside had not been cleaned and it was like an icering. Within the first 10 minutes of arrival my partner broke his toe slipping on the wood beside the pool. It had clearly not been cleaned and was mossy and slippery. The hotel came to clean the poolside after our flagging the issue and request however this ruined the holiday for us as my partner couldn’t walk far with his damaged toe. No compensatory offering was received. No apology. Other than their help initially proving a plaster and ice it was a very disappointing response. Despite us flagging the issues with the pool side not having been cleaned, the cleaners only cleaned the immediate area where my partner fell, the pool steps and surroundings were still not cleaned properly. The outside spaces as part of this private villa should have been cleaned daily, but they were not. The pool had a slimy finish, the leaves were not swept or cleared. The residence is beautiful however the external poolside cleanliness was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with mobility issues due to the number of steps.

The property is in a great central spot. The staff are very friendly. The complimentary class on offerings was superb! The Timor Residence is a great space for 2 x couples.

That we had to leave!

Honestly this is the best place I have ever stayed. So peaceful with the jungle backdrop. The set up it great - very relaxing with lots of privacy in your villa but with all the services of a top hotel; yoga, spa, pools, great restaurant, concierge to organise anything. The staff were amazing - could not do enough for you. Good value for the space and service you get. Most of the villas have their own pools so the main pools are super chilled. Really loved the design - everything was beautiful but above all comfortable. When we ate out we were actually disappointed we hadn’t just eaten at the hotel. The breakfast was great and included in the room rate - served 7am - 11am and al a carte. We also did the cookery class which was super.

Beautiful hotel just a stones throw away from Ubud town centre. Despite being surrounded by rainforest the hotel was exceptionally clean and very few insect around - rare for Bali! The staff were all so lovely and friendly and helped to make the stay special. We loved the small touches like afternoon tea by the pool every day and the complimentary shuffle. We booked several excursions/transfers through the hotel too and the price was very reasonable for an upmarket property. We liked that it was slightly out of town but just worth noting that it’s a 20/25 minute walk into Ubud town centre. However this wasn’t a problem as the hotel offers a shuttle during the day and it’s easy to get a taxi/grab car from town in the evening.

It was a perfect site for recovery from jetlag. Meals and massages were uniformly excellent. The staff was helpful in arranging half day trips to local attractions.

The villas are very tastefully done and private. Location is good for those who don’t want the hustle bustle of ubud but yet close to the centre.

There are so many exceptional breakfast places so I would recommend to try one of the many cafes and not have breakfast at the hotel.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The owners have decorated the place with many interesting Balinese artifacts and antiques. It’s not too far from Ubud but it’s very quiet and surrounded by jungle. We didn’t see any bugs anywhere.

Nothing to dislike here!

From first arriving, The Purist villas are all class! We were greeted by friendly staff and then given a tour around the property by operations manager Sudarma. He was extremely knowledgable and kind, and very proud of the Purist villas , rightfully so! We stayed in Bamboo 2 villa. What a beautiful, restful villa, and so huge! The pool and outdoor area is quite big for a private pool villa. The bathroom and dressing room area is expansive with all the bits and pieces you might need. The breakfasts at Balisimo cafe were fantastic! Beautiful, friendly staff and caters for all dietary needs We also had quite a few dinners delivered room service, what a treat! Again great selection and quality I can’t say enough about the staff here! Every single person we met was engaging and friendly, they went out of their way to make us feel like treasured guests! Good WiFi and access to Netflix on a large TV in the villa , you can chill and watch from the bed 😁 The crew on reception are super helpful and will assist you organising anything you might need. They were so sweet and organised us a takeaway breakfast box and coffee when we left the villas at 3.30am to go up Mt Batur to see sunrise , I’ve never experienced this level of genuine care and service! To summarise, don’t hesitate! Book this beautiful villa now! You won’t regret it !! Thank you so so much The Purist Villas staff! You made our holiday in paradise perfect !

Cleaning could be better in some details, towels could be bright white , I think they need to be replaced by new ones. Poached eggs at the breakfast could be better (always like hard boiled and wit a lot of vinegar taste)

Private pool, large comfortable villas, nice spa, the personnel was very helpful and kind. There is a scooter rental just near by , and a shuttle to the town center. Food was very nice in general, overall We liked the facilities so just extended an extra day to chill out

Wow!!! This was just heaven. This boutique hotel is on point in every sense of the word. There are only 18 rooms/villas but the attention we get from the staff is second to none. You can just stay in and breathe in the beauty of this place. The manager Mr. Sudrama was highly professional highly committed in making every customer experience nothing but perfect. My hat's off to you Mr. Sudrama for running this place. We can't thank you enough for your kindness and eagerness to please every hotel customer. Also, Aris from the lobby was very professional and friendly. The staff at the restaurants they would actually call you with your name from the first day. I, we, def will come again and thank you for making this trip to remember!

Fabulous spacious rooms, beautiful calm setting. and great food. We also appreciated all the attempts to be environmentally friendly. Having the opportunity to fill our own water bottles in the reception area was appreciated.

You need transportation to get anywhere.

From arrival to departure they exceeded our expectation. The staff was always anticipating our needs. We had a villa with private swimming pool and massage room, which was amazing. I definitely recommend this Villa.
