My family and I stayed at the 2 bedroom Hill villa and it was the most amazing experience. As many of the reviews mention, the staff here are an absolute delight and we instantly felt so comfortable and well looked after. Shout out to Sudarma, Choki, Depi and Chef Putu for making our stay so special. We enjoyed breakfast every morning and even tried out floating breakfast in the pool. Because it was so hot, it was such a treat to take a dip in our own private pool as well as use the shared pools. It wasn’t too busy at the time of year that we went so it felt like we had the resort all to ourselves. Besides a day trip to explore Ubud and some time exploring the city we mostly stayed at the resort to relax and eat. Well-maintained and beautiful garden and surrounds - it really felt like a tropical jungle escape. There’s so much more to this special place and I don’t have enough words to describe it all - just that, you should definitely stay here. I’ll be recommending this place to all my family and friends and hope to be back one day soon.

Everything was absolutely perfect! We stayed in the Hill Villa and it was beautiful! We were surrounded by tropical nature with a beautiful pool. Breakfast was marvellous, fresh and delicious! We thank the restaurant team for all the delicious breakfast,lunches and diners! We all had a massage at the spa and the team was very sweet. We highly recommend the “Chakra Dahra” massage, it is really worth it! It was definitely the best massage of our life. A big thanks to the reception team, we felt welcomed and taken care of from the beginning until the end, they made our first time in Bali so much more special than we expected, we have no words for it! Thank you so much for your professionalism but all also for your kindness. Special thanks to Joni and Mohammed for being so patient and caring during our tours! Some parts could be more clean and some upholstery needs to be updated/renewed as they are stained, outworn and/or non-matching colors (in the rooms as well as in the restaurant and pool area). Toilet seats were outdated and replaced directly upon our request. Thank you again for that 🙏🏼 The second pool (furthest away from the restaurant) was very slippery which is dangerous (I almost slipped when I stepped into the pool) and seemed not very clean (algae) and the gym is small and needs new workout materials. Also, the gym could be located in a nicer part of the resort, with better view and larger layout. I would suggest the area above the Spa. The gym also had an unpleasant smell of moist/mold. As someone else suggested in his/her reviews: please update the library with newer books and magazines. It looks a bit sad now…There are still guidebooks in there dating back to 2014!!!

The staff was super friendly and very helpful from the beginning till the end of our stay. Excellent food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea). Great location; quiet though still near Ubud’s centre with restaurants, cafes & shops etc). Beautiful rooms, lush green environment, nice large pool. Overall, a gorgeous nice design with a clear love for Indonesian artifacts, antiques & culture (some beautiful pieces from Timor). We felt very much at home. Must be mentioned that we stayed during Nyepi (silent day/Balinese new year) and the team did their utmost to make us feel comfortable. We had room service with a fantastic dinner in our room. All impeccable. Thank you dear Purist team, for making our stay so memorable 💕

The villa had two air con units plus two ceiling fans, however at times they were unable to cool the villa.

The property had two common pools in addition to the private pool at the villa. Lovely landscaped gardens. Super friendly staff, and a excellent restaurant for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner. The Purist Villas provided free daily transfer into Ubud, but if you want to keep your steps up, you can walk into Ubud centre within 20 min.

Not much to not like.

Two bed villa, with a private infinity pool. Free water and complementary snacks and drinks inc. beers. Food and breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Ample room for each of us to have space. Shared shower and bath but spectacular as it’s indoor/outdoor. Rooms and bedding very comfortable. View from the villa is that for the forest, you feel the sense of being surrounded by nature and this helped us to relax even more away from the hustle and bustle of other places in Bali. Staff all very friendly and super helpful. Nice touches like chocs and notes on the bed every night. Really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend for location as it’s a 5/7 min ride away from central Ubud.
