Our stay in Sidemen was simply magical. The property is stunning, surrounded by lush nature, with beautifully maintained accommodations. Everything exudes peace and beauty. Getting there isn’t the easiest journey, but it’s absolutely worth it. The moment you arrive, you’re embraced by the serene atmosphere and breathtaking views. What truly made this stay exceptional was the incredible hospitality. From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed and felt completely at ease. The hostess spoiled us with her kindness. On top of running this beautiful place, she also takes care of her five lovely children, which is truly admirable. Her husband is an amazing cook and treated us to delicious meals. Every dish was prepared with care and was an absolute delight to taste. If you’re looking for a place to relax and experience the pure beauty of Bali, this is the perfect choice. We will definitely be back!

The property needs a swimming pool. Although there is river access it is not conducive to lounging around! Better reading lighting needed for inside and outside the rooms.

The River Island is an absolute gem. The property is located between two rivers and very private. The rooms are beautifully styled and the staff are wonderful. The owners are very hospitable and welcoming.

A lovely, green and serene private island between two rivers. The room was spotless and comfortable. The owner was incredibly kind to us and sweet. If you want to chill, do yoga, meditate, and be surrounded by beautiful nature, flowers and batteries surely choose this property. Thing to consider that the location is a bit remote and the road is challenging, steep and a bit bumpy in the end, however, it was ok from our taxi drivers.

Had an awesome stay at The River Island. Tranquil place in the village, just what l needed. Newer, with traditional Balinese cabins. I especially loved the outside shower. No request too small or too big. The owner and staff were friendly, kind, respectful and accommodating. Checked out a day before my birthday - owner had a surprise birthday cake for me😊 l could go on, suffice to say l will definitely be back for a longer stay!

What an AMAZING place. The location, the nature, the wonderful staff, the food...I could go on and on. Everything was perfdxtand nothing was too much trouble. They treated us like royalty and always gave us free extras of different foods. I felt like family. The outdoor bathroom was extraordinary. The locations surrounded by 2 rivers was special and we could even swim in rhe river at a certain spot in the property. It was also at 25 minute walk to the exceptional Koli Koli Restaurant, which is a must- see ☺️.

Our stay at The River Island in Sidemen was simply unforgettable. This place is more than just accommodation – it’s a little paradise, nestled between two rivers and surrounded by nature. The spacious garden is beautifully maintained, filled with tropical flowers, and radiates a deep sense of peace. The houses are generous in size, tastefully designed, and full of thoughtful details. Everything is impeccably clean and feels brand new. One of the highlights was the open-air bathroom – surrounded by flowers, airy, bright, and simply stunning. Every detail has been carefully considered: bathrobes, mosquito spray even incense stick holder : ) You can feel the love that went into creating this place. Jro, the host and her stuff are incredibly warm and welcoming. Here, you don’t feel like just another tourist – you feel truly seen and cared for. The atmosphere carries a special, spiritual but also grounding energy. The food, lovingly prepared by Jro and her husband, is not only delicious but also beautifully presented – a true delight for both body and soul. If you’re looking for a place that’s not only stunning but also filled with warmth and harmony, this is it. The River Island is a truly special gem in Bali – highly recommended!

This is the most astoundingly beautiful accommodation. You have your own little house which is impeccably decorated with every single detail thought out. The outdoor shower is wonderful! The whole property is like something from a movie, the grounds are breathtaking. It is such a family affair, Jro cannot help you enough and her five daughters are running around laughing and playing and making the atmosphere so precious. It is truly an unforgettable stay and I cannot wait to return. The food was amazing, the hospitality was faultless and I feel so privileged to have stayed here before it gets super popular!

We loved river island and would definitely come back. We had a very authentic, homely and warm experience. The family that own and run River Island went to great lengths to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It is set in beautiful natural surroundings right on the river which we swam in every day. The food at the restaurant was delicious and very fresh. We were sad to leave and are already looking forward to our next stay.

It’s a new resort on a beautiful location in between two rivers. It feels like paradise with so many trees and flowers. On top of it all the family that runs it as well as their staff are the sweetest people you can imagine.

The grounds were peaceful and beautiful. It is such a serene area to get away from the hustle and bustle. There is nothing better than getting a massage listening to the sound of the river and nature in the area in front of your own little hut. The huts were gorgeous. Staff were super friendly and attentive. A little paradise on a private island! Komang banana pancakes were the best I've ever had! Cannot get enough of his Banana pancakes!!

This beautiful place exceeded my expectations and I feel very lucky to have stayed here before it gets too popular. Komang & Jeru are amazing hosts, they welcomed me along with their 5 beautiful little girls and the staff making me feel at home. Always kind, discreet and thoughtful! The location is truly unique, immersed in the heart of the valley between forests and rice fields, this island in the middle of two rivers is the ideal place for those who love nature and tranquility, perfect for relaxing and I suggest staying at least 4/5 days. The bungalow is really cozy and the outdoor bathroom is just amazing ( taking a hot shower while it’s raining is a must!) . They offer several service and tours and the food is great ! you need your own transportation to go around otherwise they can rent you a scooter ! a simple thank you is not enough for these guys ,I will definitely come back soon as I can !❤️

This is a perfect spot for relaxing after busy Ubud or Canggu. It's far enough from any village or town to feel the real Indonesian lifestyle. You will be pampered by the sound of twin rivers surrounding you, with clean water you can bathe in, you will be surrounded by hills of rise terraces, cultivated by warmest hearted people on this planet. This is a place to stop. And to feel. And to be. And the staff! Their staff is 5* hotel staff. So kind, so caring, won't ever leave you without help! Food to the room? No problem! Ride to the waterfall - no problem. Actually nothing is any problem for them! Amazing staff that actually creates the magic of this place!

Magical hidden island in wonderful Sidemen. Well worth the money because you have lots of space on the island. River was so cooling for a day time swim. The owner was so nice to us and even cooked some special dish which tasted amazing. Thanks a lot!

Such a beautiful Island, it feels like being in a movie. Very quiet and only sounds from nature. The beds were good and the shower under sky is amazing. Sidemen is also very lovely. Do not miss!

Amazing experience to have a whole private island for ourselves! The space is so unique and beautiful so me and my girlfriend extended our stay. The staff was very helpful and a great breakfast. Don't miss to swim in the natural pool in the river. This hotel is new but it will become very popular soon we are sure. 10 out of 10!!
