I rarely struggle to find room for improvement in a hotel but for this one, I truly cannot find anything to say.

We had originally booked a room with Jacuzzi but when we were checking in, as we were having the welcome drink, the manager met us himself and surprised us with an upgrade to a private pool villa as were honeymooners and there was availability. They took us by golf car to the villa which was breathtaking from the entrance. Being a frequent traveller in 5-star hotels and having stayed in 7 other hotels in Bali, the level of attention to detail, amenities, service and room design of this hotel is UNPARALLELED. Absolutely recommended!!

Maybe the location a bit far away from the shops, but being far also makes the place quite and nice to stay in. There was another room above the Vila. Sometimes I can here the footsteps of the visitor

Everything in this hotel has been carefully thought of (architecture & decorations, employees, services and comfort). From my arrival, I felt very welcomed (by the security guard and then, the receptionist). My room was better than I was hoping for, the bed was comfy, the pool lovely, the pool was big. Coffee and fresh fruits were offered, and that was a lovely surprise. The food at the restaurant is absolutely exquisite and of high standards (plus generous portion!) I can even compare the desert quality to the ones back home in France (earl grey chocolate mousse... divine!) I've also tried Indian, and western dishes, and all were magnificent. On top of all of these, there is a great pool, shade for your walk from the lobby and room to the pool/restaurant area, the cocktails from the bar are excellent, and the new pool bar (which also welcomes locals) is huge and offers a nice ocean view! There is not one single thing I haven't enjoyed during my stay, from the soft music played in the pool/garden area to the Hatha yoga class in the morning to the way the security guard smiled and welcomed me upon arrival. This hotel is outstanding and so are every single employee working here. Thank you for everything!

Dinner a little disappointing. Music on repeat and then dancing display which made a romantic dinner difficult which is a shame for an adults only resort. Very impressive resort but you are pretty much stuck there. Beach either side dirty. Watch out for service charge and taxes on dinner menu! Wine very expensive. Combined these make for a costly meal!

Room and private pool lovely. Staff attentive and friendly. Design of resort is beautiful. Great breakfast. Great for a night or two.

Be aware that despite being on the beach front, the beach has a very rough sea and it is practically not supposed to be used.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like!!

The property is small, secluded and child free, it is designed for complete relaxation. It never felt crowded and it was never noisy or rushed. It was always easy to get a day bed. Every single staff member was friendly and went above and beyond. The facilities are amazing. It has been my dream to hire a villa in Bali with a private pool and this one did not disappoint!! Every single meal and drink was absolutely delicious. The day spa was wonderful. We also did yoga and walked the rice paddies.

Nothing, everything was perfect

We were so impressed on our last visit in May, we returned for another 5 night stay. With the bar set so high from our last visit, I was seriously wondering if it was even possible to improve. This time we tried the One-Bedroom Ocean View Suite with Hot Tub, although the management offered us a complimentary upgrade us to a suite with private pool (that we politely declined). As sea lovers, we wanted a sea view and to hear the sound of the waves at night. Since our last visit, they have a new chef and the food was even better. On our last night (1st Sept), the adjacent property opened the impressive Moonstone Beach Lounge and offered complimentary access to guests from The Royal Purnama. It had a very nice vibe and its a cool place to chill for a few hours. Everything else at the Royal Purnama was perfect, as it was last time and a special mention for the staff again, they were so friendly, courteous and professional. We take our hats off the GM - Mr. Barry, he STILL runs the best resort in Bali and we will be back again.

- There was some painting work being done beside our block, and worker was on the staircase, which allowed them to overlook our villa. I suppose if we had been informed in advance, we wouldn’t have been caught by surprise. - Be sure to bring mosquito repellent if you're prone to getting bitten.

Check-in - While waiting for our keys, we were delighted to be treated to a turmeric drink and light snacks. I especially loved the part where they always hand you a small wet towel to clean your hands before and after your meal Shower heater - Exceptionally good. You get constant and immediate warm-water shower every time Restaurant - They serve in courses - drinks, bread, appetisers, mains, and desserts. I'm so glad it wasn't buffet style. The food prepared was all quite tasty and beautifully presented. They have live music performance during dinner time. Villa's private pool - Water is quite cold but manageable Room - Very cozy, Balinese furniture. Friendly staff helps to turn down the room and provide unique desserts for the guest WiFi - Not the smoothest but you can still enjoy Netflix with medium bitrate quality on their smart TV Staff - Everyone greets you with their warmest smiles, making you feel truly welcomed
