Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ReunionThe room we stayed in was a bit dark
Staying in the The Sangkih Villa was actually the highlight of my stay in Munduk. The place is located by a beautiful rice Field and by the Munduk forest. Waking up here was amazing, the view was breathtaking. I will remember the kindness and the smiles of the staff. I loved Made’s french playlist, the food was very nice and the cocktails amazing ( I recommand the orange arak ). I will definitely remember the evenings spent there.

NetherlandsWe couldnt find anything we didn’t like!
The staff was amazing, they were all very friendly and made it feel like a second home. We got Nice explanation on which plants was grown in the gardens and we even got a passion fruit right off the tree in front of our room! We rented the motorbike for two days which was a very Nice way of exploring. There was also the option of arranging trips with a driver if we were not comfortable driving in the mountains. Rooms were large and beautiful, gardens were very beautiful and again all the staff were so friendly and Nice ! We will definitely recommend this place and come back ourselfs!

FranceMaybe the sound of the gecko at night and more cleaning could be nice.
The place is very nice, the room is big and there’s a great swimming pool surrounded by the rice field. The staff is incredibly nice and thoughtful, they make everything to make you feel a home. The dinner and breakfast were very delicious. They even ask us if we want to do a karaoke all together. The location is very calm and 40min by car or bike to waterfalls and temple. They rented us a scooter and booked us a taxi from our other hotel.

AustraliaJust the overcooked pork steak
The villa is lovely, however the hour drive to find it on the country roads was a bit rough and scary. Our driver was amazing. The staff are fantastic. The pork steaks are over cooked but all other food was good.

SloveniaThe location (pretty far from everything), but so it everything in Munduk. But it’s worth it if you want the authentic experience. The room we first booked had an open ceiling so we there were a lot of bugs when we turned on the light but they were kind enough to let us switch the room.
The nature around is very beautiful, the staff was really nice and amazing, we even had karaoke with them. Food in their restaurant is very good, best dadar gulung we ever ate! There’s also a pool with nice sunset. They help you with anything you need.

RomaniaThe villa we stayed in needs renovation to give it a fresher air.
We liked the large terrace from the room, which had a view over the rice plantation and up to the Java Sea. The sound of the water flowing by the terrace and at the pool is special and relaxing. We liked the hosts, very friendly, especially the girls who entertained us with traditional dances every evening

AustriaIt’s very noisy you can hear all your neighbors talking , going to the bathroom, snoring everything. The Location is also not good specially if you want to go anywhere you have to pay much more than in Ubud or Uluwatu.
The Staff was very very nice and friendly. I would like to say for the price is ok we did not expected soemthing extraordinary . But the location is not good. If you want to go to Munduk just on the way there you have to pay 200.000 Rp. Which is really overpriced specially for the location. We wanted to go a restaurant so we had to pay 500.000 Rp just to go to Munduk and one place which was 13 minutes away.. I was very disappointed because there is no any other option just if you pay what they are saying to you. The place was ok but you can hear everything! Even I heard someone was snoring . I would not go to there one more time.

AustraliaAfter paying for the room with the bath, we realised you could not use it as there was not enough hot water to touch the bottom. The hot water system is very small and only allowed for a quick shower. The bathroom could also use some ventilation and there was green mold on the ceiling and the draining was very slow and flooded the floor. Although we were out in the rainforest the noise from motorbikes, others guest and staff woke us before 6am, which was a disappointment as we were hoping for somewhere quiet.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, ensuring we enjoyed our stay. This included nightly traditional dancing karaoke and great chats with staff and other guests. Food was superb and wonderful views. Bed was comfortable and I was really looking forward to a bath as we had just climbed mt Rinjani. Unfortunately there was not enough hot water to use the bath
