Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JerseyNothing it was all great .
I had booked Udaya for a weeks relaxation before heading home. It didn’t disappoint. The room was spacious we had a pool view and garden suite. They have rooms with private pools but the main pool is beautiful and not too busy. Also did yoga most days the I am a beginner and the instructors were great. The hotel is outside of the main town but they have a shuttle bus and also picked us up and dropped us off to a nearby restaurant when it was raining. There are a few good places to eat within easy walking distance. The staff were great making sure we had a good time and the Spa was lovely . Breakfast is amazing it’s basically a menu with everything you can think of and you order what you want. Highly recommend this resort.

South AfricaThe setting of The Udaya is so tranquil & peaceful - with staff that were willing to assist us with anything and everything. We did a half day trip with Putra as our driver, who was super insightful & informative, giving us many giggles along the way. We will definitely return and highly recommend a stay at the Udaya

We loved the Udaya ubud the staff were incredible and free shuttle to town every house was very helpful! The breakfast was good and gym although small was good! They had a free walking tour which we booked but cancelled due to the torrential rain and most guests seemed to love the free daily yoga too!

SpainWe loved the hotel, it's beautiful and the room was huge. They come to your room twice a day, one to clean it and the second one in the afternoon to prepare it for the night and install the mosquito nets. Very clean and we were really happy that they had a shuttle buggy to the town that drops and collects you at the same spot, so we didn't need taxis since it's a bit far to walk. The breakfast was good and we had an unforgettable private candle light dinner, which is an amazing option they offer. We also did an 8 hour tour with their driver Degus, he was driving to the places we told him and he toured us through the temples. We will certainly come back next year for a stop through Ubud while travelling to to north. There was an issue with the transfer that we booked with them to our next hotel but they fixed it immediately after telling them, so in general we are super happy with our stay here!

AustraliaMy fiancée and I had an incredible stay at Udaya! Our room was beautiful, and the breakfast offered a fantastic variety of delicious options. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, going above and beyond to make my fiancée's birthday truly special. The location is perfect—peaceful and tucked away from the busy center of Ubud. We will definitely return and highly recommend Udaya to anyone looking for a memorable stay!

AustraliaThe garden suite is prone to loud noise mainly from the corridor and hallway to the rooms above. For two nights we had to bare a guest and their kids run wild for an extensive period around midnight.
Breakfast, service and staff were incredible. The pool makes you feel like you're in a jungle oasis.

United KingdomBreakfast was fairly boring and little variation day to day. The spa isn’t nearly as great as I’d have thought for the price. Would recommend going elsewhere.
Excellent customer service- couldn’t have asked for better. Beautiful room and pool. Gym is small but sufficient for a light workout.

AustraliaAbsolutely stunning hotel. A little bit away from Ubud centre but there is an hourly shuttle. I had the best ever massage in the spa along with a free 15 min neck and shoulder massage. Staff are wonderful. Breakfast had a good variety and was delicious. Suite rooms are spacious and clean.

MalaysiaThe resort is not suitable for physically challenged guests because of the many steps. Luckily we got the room nearby the main swimming pool and restaurant. That was good.
Breakfast was yummilicious with many varieties. Red Dragron Fruit Smoothies is a must try. Floating breakfast in our private pool was a great experience. Staffs attentive and good service.

- We arrived very late in the evening as our flight was delayed but staff were very welcoming and courteous. Loved the refreshment drink on welcome. - We stayed in the pool villa which was large and spacious. Comfortable bed with mosquito net. - Excellent spa on the premises, with 30% seasonal discount applied to price which was nice. - Free yoga class each day at 7:30am which was an added bonus. - Gym on-site was a nice extra. - Overall resort is very well maintained and staff are continuously maintaining the property throughout the day. - Very friendly staff and interested to get to know their guests. - Food in the restaurant is good quality. We had dinner there one night which was excellent. Its a pity more guests dont use the restaurant but appreciate there is so many options in Ubud.

MexicoIt only has one restaurant and the staff is a bit overwhelming, they ask you constantly if you want something else and I find it a bit unnecessary, since they don’t let you really enjoy your meal.
I love the property and the bedrooms it is beautiful!
