They should have a day spa facilities there. My sister and I booked for a massage and it was done in the room, on our bed. It wasn’t a good massage coz you’re sinking into the bed so the pressure wasn’t as good and I felt uncomfortable the whole time coz you couldn’t rest your head properly.

The location might be too far out of town for some, but it worked for us since we wanted a quiet and peaceful experience.

First, the service is amazing. the staff are attentive and friendly and make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They go above and beyond to meet your needs. We were working and traveling so they arranged an area where we could work during the day. they took great care of us. The Valerian is a small, but beautiful property. It’s also 30 minutes outside of Ubud, so it’s very peaceful and quiet - perfect for couples and for people who want to be away from the noise of the town. They have a driver who will take you into town and it’s easy to find a cab to bring you back at the end of the day. The pool and property are as beautiful as in the photos. The sunsets are stunning from the pool. The rooms are large and very clean and modern. We loved that they had laundry facilities on the property.

well, I don't see what else you can improve as you already first class hotel / Villa.

From the start to the end everything is perfect ! we also had dinner at the villa and this is perfect too. this is what we called in french "raffinement". staff was very careful with us. this is the place to be in Ubud , next time will go directly from Denpasar to this hotel, we will not waste our time in kuta or somewhere else. we did extended our stay as we loved the place. THKS everyone in there, you are over-expectation.

Food options aren't that great. Pizza is on a readymade base.

Limited number of villas meant you could easily enjoy the pool or garden area without anyone around. Not a commercial feel. Breakfast options improve if you stay 3+ days. We even forgot to close the safe and nothing was missing. Staff are very responsive and warm.

- Friendly and helpful staff - Big size of the room - Very peaceful and quiet, far from busy life. It's vey tranquil and lacks Balinese vibe, because it's a very new hotel. So if you're looking for something very specific, this might not be your choice. Also, if you want to be in a busy place with many restaurants around you, choose other place. Otherwise, this is a wonderful place for a peaceful recharge.

Cable TV (BBC/CNN/Al Jazeera) was missing from the television. Please have cable TV and I will definitely come back. Being a small resort this also means limited dining options as compared to a larger resort. However this is just a minor inconvenience.

I like the seclusion and the fact that it was not crowded. ALL the staff were exceptional - so polite and unobtrusive. I would come back if I need to recharge and just focus on mental and health well-being. We told them it was my birthday and our wedding anniversary and they decorated the room so pretty!

it was so good! The entire property is cared for and maintained to the point every day. The team is so helpful and nice. I will definitely come back for this and recommend it to everyone. The monkey forest, famous restaurants such as Merlin's Magic can all be reached within ten minutes by scooter.

We loved this place so much that we ended up extending our stay twice. So we actually tried all their different types of villas and they are all fantastic! You will be overwhelmed by the beauty of this place! So much love and effort has been put into it - starting with the picture perfect garden, the infinity pool overlooking the rice fields, the amazing food (thanks again for letting us try the sukun fries), the list is just endless.... They have the best staff ever, their whole team is so nice and caring! They go above and beyond!! :) We had so many lovely conversations with them that it already felt like returning back home after a day trip in Ubud! Words just cannot describe how beautiful and extraordinary this place is - go and check it out for yourself! There is literally no better place to stay in Ubud!
