Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MoroccoThe hotel is located a bit further from the city itself (30min by car). However the hotel does offer a shuttle service to town (and pick up) at set times. So if you are planning to do many activities into town take this into consideration.
We had a lovely time at thewakanda resort! It was perfect to relax at the end of our honeymoon. We stayed in the private villa and enjoyed the hotel very much! The entire staff is very kind, Mila and Sri were very sweet and helpful, as was Wizz! We had the romantic dinner, which is normally a different menu but we love Indonesian food, asked if we could have Indonesian food instead and the staff and specially the chef made it possible! We had the best Rendang ever!! The facilities and the surroundings are beautiful, right in the middle of the rice fields! We wanted to visit Cretya but there was no need since we had our own pool and beautiful views over the ricefields! The hotel offers many activities including a Balinese cooking class I highly recommend! There is also a waterfall on walking distance.

SingaporeI wish the toilet has more lights as it was very dark. The toilet was also too far from the shower area and it needs a door.
Had a great stay here. The design and landscape of this place is amazing. Bamboo architecture surrounded by beautiful paddy fields. The room is spacious and great. The service is really excellent and attentive from all the staff. They offer breakfast set everyday and even gave us sandwich and fruits for our climb to Batur. You can take free shuttle to Ubud town everyday too.

Saudi ArabiaI didn’t like the villas at all, yes the private pool is nice and all, but the bugs, flies and cockroach are too much, so I asked them to change and they were nice enough to move us to a president suite. I understand it might be part of Bali experience, but finishing 3 bottles of bug spray in two nights is too much. Now with all that being said, if you don’t mind bugs and flies, go for the villas. Otherwise, go for a 2nd floor room.
The location is good for relaxing a bit away from the town. The restaurant is very good. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. I liked their scooter rental service, very helpful sometimes. The presidential suite was very good and spacious.

This was simply the most special place I have ever been. Never have seen such a gorgeous environment, luxury feeling resort and the absolute kindest staff I have ever met. I did not want to leave and my stay has made me so relaxed that my life goal will be to return for a longer period of time.

United KingdomMy only issue is - why is this on booking.com it’s too perfect a place. It should have its own private exclusive booking system
This place is stunning. This place is a haven. We can not fault it at all. The staff make your stay outstanding. Each and everyone of them make you feel like family. The rooms are super big with a bath of flowers for your arrival. The welcome drink and blessing are perfect. The pool area overlooking the rice padi’s make you feel so relaxed. There is endless things to do. You need not venture outside. I spent my 40th here and all the staff wished me happy birthday. You can have a complimentary photoshoot/ massage and, morning walk. There’s yoga and for a small fee, a bike ride to a waterfall. This place is exceptional. It’s worth it for sure.

New ZealandWe needed to have researched the location better. It was quite far from our booked activities and central ubud. With the traffic it meant more time spent travelling than we had anticipated. Very peaceful though so perfect if relaxation is what you’re after.
The Wakanda was our favourite stay whilst we were in Bali. The room was beautiful, the views around the property stunning and the service outstanding. We can’t wait to come back. Special mention to our fantastic guide Kadek who taught us some local words and took us to Uma Anyar waterfall where we were privileged to swim under this magnificent natural wonder (an activity offered by the resort).

United KingdomMy husband enjoyed the food, myself not so much. If perhaps more of a western menu would be preferred by some. If you aren’t fussy this is ideal.
Perfect little get away. Away from the Hussle and bustle of Ubud. If you want something a little more lively then this isn’t the best location but taxis are cheap enough

NetherlandsThe Wakanda is a great hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff's personal approach made us feel at home. Our room was stunning, with a breathtaking view overlooking the serene rice paddies. Despite being just 20 minutes outside Ubud city center, the hotel's tranquil atmosphere provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The restaurant was great from breakfast to dinner. We can't wait to return to The Wakanda Hotel

IndiaWe stayed here for the last few days of our 2 week holiday in Indonesia. We were looking for a place to unwind before we headed back home and this resort offered just that. I can't say enough about the staff as they are an extremely sweet and accommodating team. They greet you with genuine smiles throughout the day and make sure to accommodate any gripes you have. The rooms are lovely! They're very tastefully done and very comfortable to stay in. This is nestled in the midst of paddy fields away from all the hustle and bustle of Ubud which is very much welcomed. However, know that properties are coming up close by and you might hear the occasional construction sound now and then and not all the views are just beautiful paddy fields. Overall, we loved our stay here and got exactly what we were looking for.

Beautiful hotel with a stunning architecture and a nice view to the rice fields and palm trees. Rooms are great and have great functional interior and a beautiful bamboo roof. The Bath tab and rainfall shower with hot water are amazing. Huge variety of food at the restaurant. Breakfast was always absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the free walking tour through the rice fields and an amazing yoga session. Thanks for the great stay.

GermanyLoved it! The room was spacious and nicely decorated, the hotel facilities, pool and common areas were beautiful. The staff was more than nice, the level of hospitality was amazing. We celebrated birthday there but we did not mention anything to the staff - nevertheless they prepared a cake with a candle for breakfast and gave their wishes, it was such a nice gesture. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, so was the food in the evening - we usually do not go to hotel restaurants cause they are often not on a good level but here we liked it a lot. Overall, would come back any time!

Very nice welcome, the place is stunning and they make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable. The spa is really nice as well, we had a couple package and loved it. You can also order breakfast, lunch or dinner at your room and at the pool.
