The staff is soo friendly and the location of the hotel is so near to the lake. so the view is very pretty and calm in the morning. Besides, many water activities available nearby the hotel. There are many additional rooms compared to year 2023.

The bathroom is huge, but the sink is small, and it doesn't provide enough facilities to hang your towel and clothes, It's quite basic, but for the price we pay, it's quite worthwhile

Everything was great but for one thing: the beds were not as comfortable as in our other accommodations in Indonesia. But apart from that it's an ideal place.

The bungalows are located on the northern side of Tuk-Tuk, away from the denser part of the island with all the resorts. So it's nice and quiet and the view is lovely. It's also just 500m away from the Batak village, which was for us the best Batak-themed thing to visit on the island. The restaurant is good, we had practically all our meals there. The owner helped us reserve the ferry and rent scooters, which were indispensable to visit the island. Our family bungalow had its own water dispenser, a fridge and a stove. Our children enjoyed the playground and swimming in the lake.

If you are a light sleeper like me, suggest you avoid booking the quadraple superior room because every movement can be heard, like someone going to the toilet or coming down from the stairs.

The view is superb. Very relaxing and quiet. Away from the noises. It is quite a calming place to stay, with the lake right in front and the air is clean and cooling. If you go with the right people, you'll have many great chats over great view. Towels provided are sanitised and there's hot and cold water available.

we booked a ‘traditional batak bungalow’ but they were overbooked so switched to a regular bungalow - so a little disappointed in that.

Hostel charged to much (around 200k Rupiah more than average) when organizing bus to next town, during thunderstorm water dropped in my bathroom

You walk 2 meters and you can jump in the lake. Really nice location a little bit away from town

Wi-Fi a little bit depending on weather, signal repeater could be useful for the rooms.

Wonderful staff, clean, comfortable rooms and bathrooms, delicious food in the restaurant (everything you need - snacks, breakfasts, dinners, desserts and much more), hot water, many trees and plants.

The entrance was very steep ramp. We came in a small bus. It cannot enter the parking area so we have to walk down to the hotel. It was also a bit dark at night. It was a bit inconvenience for my mom since she could not walk far, but in the morning, TukTuk Timbul's staff assist to drive my mom to the entrance.

The location was very nice and very strategic. You get the view just in front of your room. We regret that we have to leave early. Wish we could stay for another night! Staff was very helpful.

It depends which bungalow. The photos on this website show spacious well appointed rooms, however every room is completely different. Almost to the level of false advertising. The noise from jet skis and so called music from adjacent properties was pretty crap also. No wifi in rooms on the opposite side was also not appreciated. Bathroom was ok, but that’s all. Also must make comments on friendliness factor. Average at best. Like the song says, If You Tolerate this, then your Children Will be Next.

We enjoyed the location. Out of Tuk Tuk a little bit, on the water, large sprawling grounds.

The family room was away from the remainder of the bungalows and was a little disappointing aesthetically. The staff wasn't rude, but they all seem very unhappy to be there. Not one smile from any member of staff during our stay, which we found very odd for Indonesia.

It’s not super clean, and rather outdated. Don’t expect lots of comfort. Mattresses are worn.

Location in quiet area, small pool, views over lake toba. Also the boat trip towards Timbul is the longest but it is very pleasant
