We didn't like the visit to the Gili Islands organised by the hotel. The private taxi and boat were nice but the locations visited were extremely busy and mass turism. The snorkelling with a plastic bottle with bread was awful. I do not believe this is the type of trip Tunak customers are looking for. The softs furnishings in the bedroom (outside and inside couchs needed a professional clean to remove a few stains) nothing major but expected at a 5 star resort. Not the nicest welcome to be greeted with a list of No's (no drones, no this, no that) after a 17h plane and 1h car journey.

A nature immersion. This oasis in Lombok offers outstanding service and natural beauty. The staff gave us the perfect balance of attention and privacy, always answering any request promptly and quickly. The food is delicious, it felt home made. The villa, with two rooms, is designed and decorated with impeccable taste. We can appreciate the close location to the sea is a challenge in some ways specially in keeping the wooden finishings in good condition. There are animals in the room and bathroom but nothing unexpected in this location in the middle of nature and nothing that made us uncomfortable at all but if you are afraid of bugs probably this isn't the place for you. We are dreaming of coming back already. Definitely missing the breathtaking views. Keep up the good work!

We will keep resort and our stay very very positive in memory and recommend it to friends too, but just some hints for some improvements mainly as: - huge amount of things on the menue out of stock, yoghurt, oxtail soup, things from the dessert list, salmon, rib eye... habis, kosong, etc. etc.... - there is a WhatsApp-Chat, with the front desk - the respond here is slow - the front desk, asked us for help with the luggage for check-out, after we respond we would like to have someone who help us, the respond come after 20 minutes.... - we got a notice in the WA-chat we forgot something in the room, after we left after check out. After we requested, what it was, there were no response at all, what we forgot. several hours later (we have been already at home in Jakarta) we chat again just out of curiosity, and then the respond incl. a photo came, incl. request to send it to us... not sure if we would ever receive a respond, if we would not chat.... - craftman came on our balcony to repair somehting, without any notice or knocking on the door and request permission. Actually a NO GO. We claim this and the front desk apologize. On another day cleaning staff forgot to lock the door with the key, after cleaning the room. luckily nothing was lost. - request for rent a bike - no bike there, but front desk can help to rent a bike from someone from the village. Price 200k. You can charge 200k if you posses own fleet in the resort, but people in the kampung rent you the bike for 70-80k, Lombok, Bali, everywhere....^^ - Lawnmower activites in the early morning, infront of the restaurant, while you enjoy the morning coffee and breakfast.... :-))

- the location as such in a national park, incl. the view is outstanding, the rooms, the layout, size, bathroom, design is definitely 10/10 Points. We enjoyed every minute staying here. - the overall design of the resort with the things around, as the birds and deers, the wooden gym, the options to play tennis, the options for rent a quad, is very nice and make the stay special. - the restaurant layout is great, the menu is also very good, incl. the breakfast, taste of the food is great. - the staff is very friendly, as well in the restaurant, or in the front desk. Especially the team in the restaurant, was very kind and it was our pleasure to come back every day. - price-performance-ratio in total fine. (Restaurant/Villas).

We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay at this private resort nestled deep in the jungle. The location is truly a hidden gem—away from the hustle of the city, with the soothing sound of waves in the background all day long and breathtaking views that made the entire experience so calming. The food was delicious and the staff were absolutely wonderful super friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Though we had a minor issue with the water heater initially, they were quick to fix it and even offered in-room breakfast as a kind gesture, which we truly appreciated. The warm hospitality made us feel so welcomed. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet, romantic staycation with your partner surrounded by nature.

Only one restaurant where you can go, maybe in the summertime there will also be another bar open on the public beach. We took the quad there, looked like something could be opening this summer. Would also recommend more clarity on the trips you could do. Surfing was advertised but difficult to arrange.

Great place to stay, very remote so ideal to just relax and take it slow. Beautiful cottages overlooking the cliffs and the sea.

Room was excellent but everyday got shocked by different insects like mantises and geckos. There was once a huge spider in the room. But all good after we told the receptions and they caught it.

The resort is secluded compared to others around Lombok. Very peaceful and serene. A good place to relax and be out of the city. Surrounded by nature, the jungle and the sea breeze. Only one restaurant in the resort, so we settled all three meals there. Food was really excellent and tasted so good. We are excited for breakfast everyday. You may request for transport to the city at your own expenses too. There are plenty of activities offered by the resort with certain charges.

Again, this is likely due to teething problems and the resort being very new but the road leading up to the resort and also to the beaches were rather bumpy. So when the roads are taken care of, getting to and from the resort will be a breeze. Perhaps a few more activities within the resort could eventually be thought up because of the secludedness/privacy of the resort. Getting to the nearest town is about 40min drive.

Our Cliff Front Villa was exceptional! Unbelievably private and with your own pool facing the ocean, and the semi-open shower area and bathtub that faces the ocean, there is very little reason to leave the room. Since the rooms faced the setting sun, sunsets in the room or private pool were breathtaking! Service was very attentive, and can hardly be improved upon.

Overall, this is a fantastic place for a honeymoon and we are already planning our next trip back! 1) Room: 4.5/5. The villa is private, well furnished and has an amazing view. We especially loved the bed, which was comfortable and faced the pool and the sunset. Even on days where it was too hot/too many mosquitoes to be outside, we could appreciate the scenery from the comfort of our air conditioned bedroom. Rain shower is amazing the view from the toilet is very nice. However, please note that there may be insects in the room and sometimes they will poo in the bed. There was a broken fan in the toilet that could not get fixed by the end of our trip. 2) Food 4.5/5: Almost everything we ordered was good. In fact, if you go for their local dishes or grilled dishes you will not go wrong - they are all 5/5. Special mention for the bebek betutu (duck) and Ayam Taliwang (fried chicken) as well as their Awang Lobster (which you should have grilled to appreciate the natural sweetness) and their steaks (we ordered a T-bone rare, which was really good and tender on both sides - not a easy thing to accomplish. Also, their mash potatoes are really good and can be substituted for fries on request). The vegetables and fruits are local and you can taste the sweetness in every bite. For all the local dishes, also remember to ask for extra sambal! All this pairs well with their house red and sparkling rose, by Hatten Wines, which is a locally produced wine, also reasonably priced. Another tip is that they have the same Lombok coffee in your room which you can make at no additional cost. Just put hot water into 1-2 heaped teaspoons of coffee grounds. This leaves you space to order their Jamu (which comes hot or chilled) and fresh milk, which are both a really refreshing start to your morning. Cocktails are good as well. Our favourites were the Lombok Island Iced Tea, Pina Colada, and Espresso Martini.

The only thing I didn’t love which may have been my fault not reading the room description properly was that we stayed in the ocean view room, which has shared spaces and swimming pool with other guests. It was still lovely, I had expected it to be more private.

Loved the jungle setting and the variety of activities that the hotel offers so even though it is isolated it never gets boring. Staff were fanatic and attentive. The views are absolutely stunning—perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Highly recommend!

Although it looks quite new. It is starting to look shabby in places. Mouldy stained bathroom. And pool. The timber on shower floor feels like it was about to give way. The fridge was hot and the lights in the bedroom didn’t work. Not the high end finishes you would expect in a resort like this.

We stayed four nights in a Ocean View Deluxe room and we had the best time. The view from the room, the pool and most importantly from the bathroom on the ocean is phenomenal. You can hear the sound of the wave and we couldn’t get tired of it day and night. We loved all the experience the resort propose for free, from the ATV ride to explore the reserve to the safari car that was bringing and picking us from the gate. Although the hotel is a bit remote to Kuta, You can rent a scooter which make your exploration of Lombok amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating and we thank them so much for making our stay so pleasant. So many beautiful memories and we can’t wait to come back!

The journey going up to the resort. There's this 20-30min portion of the uphill journey which was not maintained by the government, thus, the road was very muddy and uneven. There were also insects that keep coming into the room but there's housekeeping twice per day, so they help a lot to remove the insects.

The food is good, though for the price it could be better. A few male staff members tried a little too hard to score a named mention in a review, following an impersonal script of "how are you, where are you from" occasionally at the wrong moment during meals, being a little intrusive.

Absolutely beautiful setting, complete peace and quiet which isn't easy in Indonesia where there is usually construction everywhere. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities, animals and view make the experience absolutely worth it.

There are not many food options available. Rainy season causes the roads to be terrible.

I spend four perfect days in TUNAK. It is truly a luxury escape resort. where you can see the stunning ocean views, islands in the distance and perfect sunsets. I regret that I didn't stay longer, there are still more activities to explore here.The staff at TUNAK are very friendly, they remember your name and greet you. Even though it's a long way from town, their service as well as the view makes it all worth it. I chose private pool room type and shared pool room type. The former has good privacy where you won't be disturbed by anyone. However, the shared pool has a large pool area with a great view.

It's not that I didn't like anything But It would be nice more menu selection for lunch etc & also insence for the flys & mosquito's Would be lovely to see the deer with more grass or nicer environment in there home to. Would be great to sell at the bar snacks (crisps/cookies/chocolate etc)

What a magical location I loved the view from our room, and the gym was so cool defintly they should have photos on the site of it. The staff were very kind They have 2 ATV's you can borrow for free and take them down to their beautiful private beach.

Not much. Perhaps we could have more variety in terms of breakfast and room service options. Another thing that might be worth mentioning is that there is no direct access to the beach as the resort is on a cliff. However, they can arrange transfer to the nearest beach (5-10 minute drive). Personally, I prefer it from a distance than on the beach because most of the beaches in non-touristy areas in Indonesia are littered.

The location is secluded so you can have total peace here. I will not elaborate on the facilities and the view as they are excellent and must have been mentioned by others. I just want to point out that we really appreciate the convenience of room service and the amount of activities offered by the resort despite the location. Lastly, the staff are really helpful in arranging all the pickups. We look forward to our next visit to Tunak.
