Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaOur stay at Ubud Diary Villa from January 31 to February 3, 2025, was a truly serene and rejuvenating experience. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud town, this villa is surrounded by lush greenery, once a rice field, offering a peaceful escape into nature. Mornings greeted us with the soothing sounds of birds chirping as the sun rose, while nights came alive with the harmonious chorus of frogs, crickets, and geckos. The entire ambiance was tranquil, making it an ideal place to unwind and reconnect with nature. The villa itself is spacious and well-designed, featuring two comfortable bedrooms, a large living and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with all necessary utensils and appliances. A washing machine is also provided—perfect for those staying longer or needing to do laundry. Every section of the villa was clean and well-maintained, enhancing the overall comfort of our stay. One of the highlights was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. They were friendly, helpful, and attentive to every detail. We highly recommend trying their in-villa spa and massage service, which was fabulous and conveniently arranged in the bedrooms with a portable massage bed. The outdoor swimming pool was another great feature—spacious and perfect for a refreshing swim throughout the day. However, as expected with an open pool, there were occasional leaves, insects, and bird feathers. On our last evening, we noticed that the pool lights were not working. The front desk responded immediately via WhatsApp and assured us that a technician would check the issue the next day. While it was our checkout day and we didn’t get to see it fixed, we hope it was resolved for the next guests. Overall, Ubud Diary Villa is a fantastic retreat for those seeking a balance between privacy and shared space. The natural surroundings, excellent amenities, and warm hospitality made our stay memorable. We highly recommend it and would love to return!

MalaysiaMy husband and I had an amazing stay at Ubud Diary Villa! The villa was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, offering the perfect balance of comfort and tranquility. The private pool and lush surroundings made it a truly relaxing getaway. What made our experience even more special was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to fulfill my special request to decorate the room as a surprise for my husband’s birthday. Their attention to detail and effort truly exceeded my expectations, and I truly appreciate this! We felt genuinely welcomed and valued throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in Ubud with outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend this villa.

Ubud Diary Villa is simply perfect for us as a family of three. It’s very spacious, modern yet very Balinese style decorated. It’s equipped with almost everything we need in a home including a washing machine! It’s located just in the middle of the fields, very quiet and serenity all the time. The Ubud centre is not far from it also (just that the traffic is quite busy )The villa beds are very comfortable, housekeeping can be done or not based on our request. The staffs especially front desk are all very friendly , helpful and fast responsive to all our needs, excellent service! Ubud Diary villa is really suitable for us as repeatedly visitors to Bali..who want a completely relaxing and peaceful vacation..

MalaysiaThe road to the villa is just good for one car. It can be a bit challenging if you are renting a car and driving. Breakfast preparation took a bit long (so order one hour in advanced to avoid disappointment).
Peaceful ambience, excellent services, the staffs are professional and friendly, well-maintained villa. It is within 30 min - 1 hr driving distance to most of the attractions (bali safari, pantai saba for turtle release, paddy terrace etc). There are good restaurants nearby and the villa can arrange for food delivery. It has washing machine with detergent which is definitely a plus point if you want to do laundry by yourself. Staffs are very accommodating and did decoration (using towels, ballons and rose petals) for my husband birthday. The staffs can communicate well in English, and very knowledgeable to give recommendations. No mosquitoes (there are insects around especially at shower area but it is expected so not a big deal for us).

AustraliaSome may prefer to stay more centrally in Ubud, but staying just outside of Ubud was not an issue as it was easy to get transport.
We did not have the breakfast that was available at the property as we chose to shop and cook using the fabulous facilities within our villa.

MalaysiaThe road leading up to the villa is too narrow - need some serious driving skills to manoeuvre the car in. Can hear the swimming pool water pump sound from the Master room at night. There is also construction next door but the noise is minimal.
The villa is very beautifully designed and furnished. Bed is comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped. There is even washing machine provided. Very clean.

IndiaWe stayed three nights at Ubud Diary Villa. This has been a fantastic stay. The villa was incredibly clean, well appointed rooms and living, with modern equipment. Their kitchen had everything needed including storage for excess food! We woke up to the sound of birds. The road noise can be heard if you leave the balconies open, but nothing if it is closed. The staff were very courteous and Yovi was always willing to go above and beyond his duty to make things happens for you. He is one of the best! The breakfast at hotel was simple and good. The food they organized from a hotel nearby was not great, but even for that, Yovi had arranged it like a five star hotel. He is exceptional. Grab delivers food here, so it is not a big deal. The massage was very good too. The pool was clean. It takes about 15-25 minutes to the centre of Ubud depending on time of the day. But once you are here, you will not want to leave the Villa!

Oman-It's a bit noisy from animals surrounding the area and undergoing construction near by, I would recommend the facility to have noise proof windows. -The living room chair is uncomfortable, and I believe replacing it would make a big difference.
Despite some of the minor improvements needed, it's really one of the best places to stay in Ubud and will definitely stay back again.
