Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Tattva is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We had a beautiful stay and the staff were lovely. It’s quiet and very small, so no big crowds. We felt really at home.

AustraliaOne of the rooms had a very loud aircon and sheer curtains so was quite bright overnight. The roof of this room also leaked during heavy rain overnight but only in the bathroom so not the end of the world.
Staff here were fantastic, a bit further out from Ubud so very quiet and relaxing. Staff happy to organise bikes and other transport to get into town. Pool was lovely and clean, room was dark and effective aircon, comfortable beds, good shower and water pressure. Set near a river for a nice walk. Good value for money if looking for a quieter place to relax away from the busy centre of Ubud.

AustraliaThe only downside was the restaurant not being open all the time, it was understandable as there weren’t many people staying there at the time.
Loved waking up to the sound of frogs and roosters with a gorgeous view of the rainforest right there. Such a relaxing, peaceful place. Staff are so lovely!

United KingdomNothing!
This property was our last stop in Indonesia and it was our favourite stay! Tattva arranged a driver to pick us up at the ferry port for a really reasonable cost, and the staff were so friendly from the moment we arrived. Sastra & Dewa Ayu greeted us and couldn’t of been any more helpful. Our Villa was beautifully decorated as we were celebrating our honeymoon. The bathroom & bedroom were really spacious. The reusable bottles with free filtered water refills were a great addition. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, we enjoyed eating by the pool each day, even when we had an early excursion and didn’t think we would be back for breakfast, but Sinita made us breakfast on our return at last minute. Our bags were held for us whilst we went and explored on our final day, and they allowed us to shower after check out before our long flight. The location is great and really close to the night market with delicious local food! Thank you to all the staff Sastra, Sinita, Dewa Ayu, Wina & Wiguna for a fabulous stay!

AustraliaAs the retreat is newly opened there was a small amount of works still taking place and some of the facilities were a bit lacking. Whilst there was a tea and coffee station at the water filter it didn't always have cups, teaspoons, black tea bags or milk. Topping up of this daily would be good for early risers like myself who want a cuppa before breakfast is ready or at anytime throughout the day. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Was a bit too far for me from Ubud town Centre, about a 15 minute scooter ride. Not much in the way of restaurants or shops nearby which is good if you are really wanting peace and quiet but a trek to get meals, any basics, shopping etc. A small and intimate setting which is lovely but is a consideration when families with young children are present as there are not any other areas you can go to for quiet time. Some night lighting which shone directly into the room all night. Some heavier curtains on the front window would help with this.
Nestled beside a water channel with lush rainforest plants this is a beautiful spot. The yoga platforms are down by the water and are a lovely, peaceful setting to do yoga and meditative practice. Lots of steps for an extra workout! Peaceful setting with lots of bird life. Beautiful plants. Loved the water filter system for endless cold, safe drinking water and provision of your own reusable water container to save on plastic bottle use. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Happy to support you with any needs or requests. Couldn't be more happy with the staff. Scooter rides a cheap option at a couple of bucks to get into town. Staff happy to coordinate this for you. Breakfast was included, nice but quite basic.

United KingdomNot 24/7 reception, there was no one to check me in, so I had to find another hotel to stay for my first night in Ubud, explained the situation to staff the following morning but they wasn't able to refund me the cost for me paying to stay at another hotel. Still trying to work something out with the hotel/booking.com after them denying this never happened - very disappointing from them. I wouldn't recommend staying here due to my experience.

New ZealandNo sound-proofing between rooms, could hear everything. Windows and doors rattled when either you closed or the adjoining room closed the door. Shower not partitioned from the rest of the bathroom, so everything got wet, we kept towels on the floor to mop-up the water. This place is touted as a "wellness retreat" but smoking...yuk...is allowed in the communal space where the only coffee & tea making facilities are. Not Tattva's fault, but a good 20 minute slog through congested roads and bumper-to-bumper-to bumper traffic from early in the morning to late at night if you want to go to Ubud central.
Great breakfast, super comfortable bed in a spacious room, friendly staff

New ZealandEach time we were wanting food the food was closed. The layout of the bathrooms are strange, the toilet is half a meter from the open shower so water goes all over the bathroom. The location felt a bit far out but it is as expected. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.
The people at Tala were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were nice and the pool and yoga was great. It was nice being by the river and amongst nature in a serene location. We liked having a flat screen tv!

AustraliaBathrooms were poorly designed. Smelled horrible as staff used moth balls to disguise poor plumbing and smell of drains. The rooms were dark and poorly lit. No safe for storing valuables. Had to ask for a bar fridge and bedside lamps. Building construction next door was noisy and had to leave premises for peace and quiet. Definitely NOT a wellness or yoga retreat.
Best thing was yoga on the deck

South AfricaUnfortunately the location isn’t ideal, as it is quite far out. The rooms need quite a lot of maintenance done, as well as a deep clean. Although the staff were great, , it seems as if they were running the property all on their own with not much support. The kitchen facilities are also offsite at the main resort which made mealtimes a bit inconvenient.
The staff were so lovely and helpful. We loved our afternoon tea next to the pool each day and our yoga classes in the morning!
