- Hard and confusing to get to the hotel (either by scooter, bike or foot) if you don't know beforehand (also there where more houses around than we expected from looking at the pictures) - Remote control for air conditioning was not working (batteries need to be changed?) - Bed is not the most comfortable (not sure how my back would feel after a week but for some days totally fine)

- Very nice staff that takes very good care of you (from welcoming you, thorough communication through whatsapp, organising a driver) - Breakfast is very good (recommending the pancakes) - Location is very nice in general - Air conditioning working well - Extremely spacious rooms

You only get a body towel and no hand towel. something super minor actually but maybe one hand towel would be nice to have in the room :)

Amazingly friendly staff, always ready to help. Location is great, 7 min stroll to the center but at the same time in the middle of a very peaceful rice field. Good breakfast and the food super tasty; tried the vege curry and it was delicious!

The family also runs a restaurant that has very good local food. If you don’t want, you don’t have to go out to eat. I’m a vegetarian and they had a quite a few things for myself. They are plenty of things to do there. They offered activities if you wanted to I had a massage in my room.

There were some issues with payment, for me easier to pay through booking or by card. But in Indonesia it’s pretty common. Some towels are clean but still have colors for which to wash them into white color you need stronger liquids.

It was my first guest room in Ubud. Fully covered by rice fields, geckos and close to the center. Tasty breakfast, in a plus many Gojeks came to pick up food orders. There’s a place to fill your water bottle. Room is big, clean and AC works good. Bathroom is big and beautiful. Personnel is super welcoming.

The foam mattress was a little uncomfortable for me.

I loved the views over the rice terrace and the fact the property was only on a small road with no access to cars. There were nice places to eat, get a coffee, do yoga, have a massage in short walking distance. The family running the hotel were all very helpful and friendly. The food in their restaurant was delicious and I enjoyed being able to have my breakfast on my balcony. The pool was great!

Quite a distance from the main road to the accommodation, will not recommend if you are not riding a bike. The place is only accessible by bike, not car. Not everyone in the group can ride a bike, thus it's a little inconvenient for us. Warm shower could only last a little more than 1 pax each time.

Quiet place. Great hospitality. They operate an eatery at the accommodation till late, and there are some decent cafes nearby too.

Location is 8mins walk from the main road. But you could always request host to fetch you back to the homestay. A bin in the living room and additional bath rails would be ideal.

Food's awesome! Very authentic & delicious! Location is beautiful! Rice Field is just across the street. Host is very friendly. Always checking if we need a lift out to the main road.

I spent 5 nights here and absolutely loved my stay. Candra and her family were so kind and helpful. The food from the restaurant was excellent, especially the campur ayam. The location is amazing and close to many great little cafés and restaurants. Shanti, the cat was so adorable and gave me a big welcome every time I arrived back. Check out Nur for coffee and Ubud Yoga house for great classes.

When I had to check out, I knew I was leaving a small heaven.

Ideal location in the middle of the rice fields, very calm and relaxing. The staff is lovely and convenient. I would definitely come back at Shanti House !

We loved our stay at Ubud Shanti. Wonderful location in the rice fields, we had a second floor room that had amazing sunrise and sunset views. Accessible only by walking/motorbike so it is quiet and peaceful. Lovely pool! Less than 10 minute walk (which is very scenic) to the main road with many shops. The neighborhood has yoga studios, restaurants, spas, really anything you need. A nice neighborhood feel. The family and staff were warm, friendly, and accommodating. It was easy to book tours and drivers with them. Also a simple but yummy breakfast was included each morning. The dinners were also fantastic! We wish we could stay here for much longer (we stayed 5 nights). Room was spacious, clean, had AC, good wifi, and warm water for showers. And of course the sweet cat, Shanti, who liked to sneak into our room for pets. Thank you Ubud Shanti!

I absolutely loved my stay here, hosted by the most warm, welcoming family! Candra helped me with all of my questions and requests. Delicious meals (breakfasts, nasi goreng and nasi campur) from their restaurant (which you can also get takeaway!) Clean and spacious room with comfy bed and beautiful sunrise and sunset views over the rice paddies. Well located home base from which to explore Ubud – within an easy walking distance to many gems of Ubud. Could not more highly recommend.

The accommodation is only accessible by scooter. the staff are on hand to pick you up at the bottom of the hill. I would suggest you only stay here if your luggage can be easily transported. The only other thing is that the pool chairs probably need to be replaced.

I was surprised by how charming and relaxing the accomodation was and the whole area really grew on me. My room was excellent and very spacious. the bathroom was also well decorated and I was overall very comfortable. The staff were amazing from the start and made me feel welcome and looked after. Communication was through WhatsApp and they were excellent communicators. The pool was refreshing and the outdoor shower was a welcome addition.

it was clean, quiet and relaxing, awesome location only accessible by scooter! which for us was really cool! loved driving through the rice fields and really felt like we were living with the locals! the staff were so lovely and accommodating, the room was beautiful, I’d recommend to anyone who wants a real feel for Bali and it’s amazing people!
