We stayed at Uma Rimbun Villa for 3 weeks while working remotely and enjoying Ubud area. The owner and staff were absolutely great, organizing day trips for us all via Whatsapp, as well as getting groceries for us! And getting laundry done. Such a pleasant peaceful place right at the wonderful Sweet Orange trail in an otherwise perhaps a bit chaotic Ubud 😄 The place is actually much more spacious than appears from the pictures so here’s a quick impression.  Also worth mentioning, internet speed was excellent, cleaning spotless, and they had just installed sliding doors in the kitchen area (not present on all photos). Thank you Yande, Dewa and Wayan! Bonus: in Ubud you see this pair of Bedogol statues everywhere and we were looking for a miniature “Malen” — finally the staff found a befriended artist who made this for us in 3 days! None, it was perfect

The villa is beautiful, modern, super clean and well maintained. Everything you might need is there. The place is just 10 minute walk from central Ubud, but it’s very quiet and secluded, hidden amidst the rice fields + friendly and very helpful staff + the owner is always in touch + lovely pool + fully equipped kitchen + 2 great warungs, a coffee shop and a massage place nearby + unlimited water refills - a nice touch Bonus: fields are full of fireflies at night - so beautiful))

Beautiful villa in the paddy field. One of two. Close walking distance into the main town of Ubud, but a bit of a precarious path so not for the faint hearted or those reluctant to traverse muddy paths at night. But that’s the trade off for having a magical destination with a divine plunge pool and view over the paddy fields, with a lovely restaurant next door. Big thanks to Yande and his terrific staff who were so helpful and friendly.

Our stay at this accommodation was absolutely wonderful—it truly felt like a hidden gem. Nestled amidst lush, green rice fields, it offered a peaceful escape while still being just a short walk away from the heart of Ubud. The villa itself was modern, new, and clean, with thoughtful touches like fruit plates, slippers, and mosquito spray, raincoats, that made our stay even more comfortable. We also loved the fact that there were two lovely cafes right next door—ideal for a morning coffee, lunch or dinner. What really stood out was the friendly and welcoming staff, who made sure we felt taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and will definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud!

It was all fabulous!

It was out of town and very peaceful. Immaculately clean. Owner Yande and Staff Dewa went above and beyond to assist us, especially with our lost luggage. Yande was always available on What’s App with any queries, eg: where can I buy such and such etc. Nothing was too much trouble.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The staff and owner were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our experience special. I requested a surprise for my boyfriend, and they arranged it perfectly. The villa was spotless and cozy, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. I couldn't have asked for a better stay highly recommend.

Nothing. We had no issues at all, but the villa is inaccessible by car directly - the staff will meet you in a close by car park to take you down to the villa on a scooter. If you're able to, the walk in to the heart of Ubud is approx 5 minutes - we loved it.

Fantastic location - you're so close to the hustle and bustle of Ubud, but due to the location of the villa (basically on the rice paddies) it's a gorgeous, quiet, tucked away gem. The staff are absolutely beautiful - very attentive and keen to ensure that everything is perfect. The view of the small infinity pool overlooking the rice paddies is something I never got sick of. Sweet Orange next door is an amazing warung with delicious and authentic Balinese food. I can't put into words how relaxing our stay was. Because it was our honeymoon, the staff also put together a beautiful little floral display on our bed and greeted us with fresh coconuts.

Note it is a 7 minute walk from the main road, but through beautiful rice field, only understandable dark at night. However staff are happy to pick you up from the main road by motorbike if you give them the heads up.

This is truly a 10/10 villa, best place we stayed on our trip. Amazing staff, location and value. Book here for the proper Ubud experience surrounded by peaceful rice fields.

The following are fairly minor and only for those who are pedantic about little details - The villas are not very private as you can see other tourists on the trail. This didn’t really bother us as the villa is a fair distance away. The villa is partially open plan ie the living/kitchen area cannot be locked and is open to the fields, but we felt very safe. But something to be mindful of, as you can’t leave any personal belongings here. You can’t access the villas by car. The staff had to bring the suitcases on motorbikes.

We loved that it was close to the centre - you can walk down through a narrow path through the rice fields into a dodgy little alleyway and then onto the main road. There’s a longer path called Sweet Orange walking trail that also takes you to the centre. There were cute cafes and warungs close to the villa. The view is just beautiful especially at sunset. Loved sitting there with my morning tea and looking at locals going about their day to day. The villa itself is really clean, has almost all facilities you can imagine. We used the little kitchenette a couple of nights to make indomie and there’s also a tv with Netflix subscription for guests. The little pool was nice and refreshing with a splendid view of the rice fields. The staff are really attentive. They always kept out bottles of water for us. The bedding is very comfortable and they provide toiletries and clean towels.

The villa is in an absolutely stunning location, in the middle of rice fields, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ubud. It was still very accessible via the walking path. The villa itself felt very modern and was extremely comfortable.

We loved the villa, it was beautiful and very comfortable. The hosts and daily housekeeping staff were extremely kind and helpful... We appreciate the coconuts & fruit offerred on check in. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The pool, landscaping and rice terraces were gorgeous. I really appreciate the coffee, tea, microwave, stove, refrigerator amenities. The wifi was nice and fast, and I was able to work while staying here as was required for my remote job position. The walk to and from the villa was serene and gorgeous... However, please be aware that this property is NOT car accessible and walking at least 10-15 minutes is required to go into downtown Ubud... Recommended that you only book here if you are comfortable walking around. Also, staff shuttled our luggage in via scooter which was fine but something to be aware of. We appreciate the suggestions book and how communicative the hosts were to ensure that we were comfortable - all the staff did an outstanding job!! Suggestions for improvement: Use refillable water containers instead of bottled water if possible to reduce plastic waste... Or have the option for guests to choose as some people may prefer bottled water. Hang a full length mirror in the room somewhere so that women can review themselves. Consider providing conditioner as well as shampoo if possible. The hot water does run out, which didn't bother us but something to be aware of if you shower for longer than 5-10 mins.

The pillows were a bit too bulky which made it harder to sleep and we would have liked the water to be warmer for a bit longer.

The location was great even though it's hard to get to. It's between rice fields and really close to the Campuhan Ridge Walk and Ubud center. The room was clean and well maintained with all the basic needs (along with a nice private pool). Our hosts were very helpful and assisted us in pick up and drop off to the center.

We loved our stay at Uma Rimbun! The villa and pool are beautiful with everything you need for an Ubud getaway! It’s in a picturesque location amongst the rice fields, but only a short walk into the Ubud hussle. The staff went above and beyond, always willing to help and accommodate us. There is an added bonus of an excellent Warung next door too! Only positive things to say, we can’t wait to come back!

The villa is new and therefore really well maintained still. I loved that the pool overlooked the rice terrace and was secluded from the busy streets of Ubud (due to cars not being able to get there). When we arrived at the villa we received coconuts on arrival as well as fresh fruit in our room. The staff were amazing. I was not feeling well during our stay and they happily went out to buy me what I needed and brought it to the villa. Our charging adaptor stopped working too, and they went out to buy us a new one. The service was incredible and they’re happy to go above and beyond without even asking them. We stayed for a week but wish we could have been there longer. We will definitely go back in the future :)
