Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

Amazing villa with a stunning view that we could enjoy sitting in our private pool. Triana's hospitality went beyond our expectations. We wish we could stay longer and have those amazing breakfasts. :)

South AfricaMy partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Umah Capung Villas, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. This beautiful property is nestled in the midst of lush rice terraces and overlooking a stunning jungle terrace, with a breathtaking volcano in the background. We felt like we were in our own private paradise. What really made our stay special was the exceptional service provided by Triana and her husband. They were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and always went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and happy. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the local area, and provided us with great recommendations for places to visit and things to do. The villas themselves were stunning. They were beautifully designed and furnished, with all the amenities we could possibly need. We particularly enjoyed spending time on our private terrace, taking in the incredible views and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, we would highly recommend Umah Capung Villas to anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway. The stunning location, combined with the exceptional service provided by Triana and her husband, makes it an unbeatable experience..

AustraliaI’m so glad we found this beautiful villa. a short ride away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud, set amongst rice paddies with a view of Mt Agung. Our host Triana was so welcoming and friendly, we felt at home immediately and were so well looked after during our stay. The villa is the perfect little retreat but still close to all the attractions around the area. couldn’t have asked for a better week, wish we stayed longer.

United KingdomThere wasn't anything I didn't like. Location may need transport to get to places of interest, but taxis very easy to sort.
I loved everything! A true little paradise and the hospitality from Triana was above and beyond. Stunning views, gorgeous pool, yummy breakfast, beautiful bedroom and bath, fab rural location. It really was lovely. I cannot recommend enough. Even in the rain this accommodation was perfect as it has undercover spaces to happily listen to the jungle and weather.

United KingdomThe accommodation was amazing! A beautiful place to relax and be in nature. Triana was the perfect host and made our stay even more special. She made a very tasty Indonesian breakfast which was brought to our room each morning. Her communication was excellent and she couldn't do enough for us. I definitely recommend booking a massage too, it was one of the best massages we've had. The room was very spacious, had all the amenities you would need and the bed was very comfortable. The pool provided a nice cool down from the heat and the outdoor shower had great water pressure. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

ColombiaEverything to like about this place. Especially the view of mount Agung. The calmness. The whole location made us feel like locals. The architecture of the place. The pool and the bathtub were amazing. The rice fields from around. The nature. And most of all the host Triana, making sure we were always feeling good. There’s good places to eat nearby and is close by walk to a temple and the baths.

Sri LankaEverything was great at the villa. Around the area a few places on the map were closed for dining out, probably because of COVID recovery. So you have to go for 20-30mins out to find more options. Limited options for food apps. Markets are close by. But this is to be expected at such a nice quiet location.
Location - excellent quiet and peaceful location surrounded by trees, bush and rice fields. Stunning view of the mountains at sunrise. Very quiet rural type area. Large famous temple is very closeby. Hosts - our host was wonderful, communication was excellent, she really did everything she could to help us out including organising transport, laundry and other things at great prices. Every request was handled quickly. Villa - the Villa is really comfortable and private with a great view, everything is new and it is very tastefully designed.

SingaporeFor supermarkets, there are none except for small mini marts that do not carry a lot of things. If you want a variety of fruits or snacks, its better to head to Ubud.
The surrounding area of the accommodation is very peaceful. There are some restaurants and cafes around. A couple of them serve pretty good meals. Since the villas are close to jungle and rice paddy fields, you get some unexpected visitors especially during the night. We had frogs, squirrels, big spiders visiting us.

Italy"Absolute horror at Umah Capung Sebatu Villa! Our honeymoon turned into a nightmare due to a family of gigantic geckos over one meter long residing in the villa. The owner conveniently failed to inform us about these uninvited reptilian guests. Sleepless nights were filled with relentless gecko attacks – 4 times, including a violent bed hit that jolted us awake! They invaded our bed, creating deafening noise. To top it off, the next morning, a menacing black snake appeared during my shower, a potential life-threatening situation! The lack of a reception presence intensified our ordeal. We demand a refund or face legal action! Don't risk your life at this hazardous villa.

SpainI recently stayed at this beautiful villa with a jungle view and a breathtaking view of Mount Batur. The place is incredibly nice, with amazing views that make you feel like you’re in paradise. The private pool is a fantastic feature, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The host was very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They helped organize masseuses to come to the villa, which was a wonderful experience. The floating breakfast was a delightful touch, and the host was very responsive to our messages before our arrival, ensuring everything was perfect. Additionally, there are several good restaurants within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy delicious meals without having to travel far. Overall, this villa offers a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and convenience. Highly recommended!

SwedenThe villas are in a rural area and will a bit diffucult to reach local grocery stores or to get transport. It’s about 15 km away from Ubud centre. This was part of the experience too as we were looking for a natural getaway.
This has been one of the most romantic, unique and pleasant accommodations I have ever stayed at. It was the perfect private getaway for our honeymoon with a private pool and gorgeous view of the jungle and the volcano in the early hours of the day. The service was more than we could have asked for. Triana and her husband were so lovely throughout our entire stay. We arrived pretty late from the airport and it was later than what we put in our check-in information. But they were so lovely and welcomed us and carried our luggage to the villa for us. In the morning we were greeted with freshly cooked Indonesian breakfast of nasi or mie goreng, fresh fruits and fruit juice and that was one of our favourite highlights of the day: To have the breakfast on the porch and watching the jungle, listening to its natural sounds. So amazing and gorgeous. The room and the villa itself was a really unique experience. We loved to be relaxing in the outdoor pool bed under the heavy rain and listening to the thunderstorm. My husband and I are really nature oriented and loved how connected to everything we felt. Although there was a slight incident with a gecco at night, we still slept really well and wasn’t bothered by neither heat or mosquitos. You’ll be surrounded by cute frogs, beautiful butterflies, squirrels in the trees, dragonflies etc. Really puts you in a tranquil state and takes you away from the stress. We really appreciated how the hosts went the extra mile to cater to our needs. When it was late in the evening and we hadn’t had dinner yet and everything was closed or impossible for delivery, they went the extra mile to buy us food from a local restaurant and brought it down to us at 10 PM. We felt so welcomed and the service was so helpful and exceptional.
