Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe dinner was 65K, which is relatively expensive compared to Ubud Warungs. However you have to mention it included a soup, meat, vegetables, rice, fried corn and fruit, so it was more like a menue.
Wonderful quiet and stunningly beautiful location within the rice fields. The bungalow is very beautifully furnished and surrounded by big exotic plants. The bathroom was very clean as well as the bed and a water boiler, tea, coffee and free drinking water was supplied. Dinner and breakfast are served on your terrace with a beautiful view. Very kind people (Gede, Putu, Wayan and the ladies from the restaurant). We took a jungle tour to the temple close in the woods withWayan and our driver Putu explained us so much about Balinese life in his village. Wonderful place and experience we would definitely come back!

We had the most wonderful stay! All the staff are wonderful and welcoming, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and relaxed and make sure you enjoy the area. The food is home cooked and delicious. We did a walking tour to the hot springs with Wayan. I highly recommend a guided walk to get the most of the area and to learn from Wayan.

NetherlandsNot something we did not like, but it's good to know that there is no menu, you get the "food of the day"
Lovely nice houses overlooking the rice terrace fields. The room is spacious, bathroom clean and especially love the verandas in front of the houses. The family is amazing and very helpful. They have lots of tips for sightseeing in the surroundings and they will make you amazing food for both dinner and breakfast.

The food was amazing, the best we had in all our trip in Bali. The place is a real gem too, especially if you are looking for a retreat far from tourists.

CanadaOne of the windows had no screen or anything, so it was just a gaping hole with a curtain. It's a tricky road getting into the homestay but it makes it all the more special and secluded.
It's so peaceful and the owning family was lovely. The view of the rice field is lovely and there aren't many people around, making it ideal for a quiet getaway. The food they served us was nice, and within 15 mins around you have plenty of food options, the Jatiluwih rice fields, and plenty of temples to visit.

New ZealandWonderful location with glorious view over rice terraces. Hospitality offered by Gede was outstanding as all logistics for trekking and transport by motor cycle and car were so quickly and easily arranged. Breakfasts and dinners served were delicious and nutrious. Local people I met on my walks around the village were so welcoming. Bungalow's decor including the bathroom was great, so clean and so comfortable.

GermanyGede speaks some English, his family not. But we used Google translate so it was not a real problem - we had funny moments showing each other our phones and we always ended up understanding each other!!!
Gede and his family put enormous care in every detail. The house is beautifully done, with big bed with comfortable moskito net, big bathroom, terrasse, water refiller, electric kettle for tea and coffee. The breakfast is delicious and abundant. And it's also possible to ask for dinner, there is only one option usually, but the food is local and were right to trust their kitchen, it was always yummy. But the best part is the surrounding, amazing hills of rice fields - you don't need to go to Jatiluwih and pay an entrance, here the view is even better! Scooter rental is also possible, and if you ask Gede can arrange for tours in Rice fields, Tempels or excursion in the nearby forest.

The cottages are located in a perfect location, surrounded by the rice terraces. This location is a good escape from busy parts of Bali and a good starting point to visit Jatiluwih, Banyu Wana, Ulun Danu... This is a family owned property, they are extremely kind and provide good breakfast and dinner. The owner can organise a friendly and fun driver, thank you Roi for best day in Bali.

DenmarkThe most beautiful view from the very lovely cottage I stayed at. Fantastic local food was served at my porch The nephew of the owner. Took me on tours Walking in the ricefield. And to visit a very big local temple, which is part of his community We also visit a 700 year old tree and a chocolate factory, where I learned about the process. It was very interesting He speaks fluently English and is local from the area. We had a wonderful time and he is very friendly and easy to talk to So if I could give more than 10..I would do that So I give them the best recommendation
