They didn’t find a solution about an animal (bird or gecko) poop on the bed everyday. They did their best but 6 day in row we got 6 poop shots on the bed everyday. Funny and sad at the same time:)

Our stay at Unagi Wooden Villas was truly special, and the exceptional hospitality of the staff made all the difference. A huge thank you to Eva, Eka, Voga, and Tuti for their kindness and dedication. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which we highly recommend for those seeking privacy and relaxation. The courtyard and terrace create the perfect setting to unwind after exploring. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the semi-open shower with its own tropical garden was a unique touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with plenty of authentic Balinese flavors, and the dinner menu offered great options for those who prefer to dine at the resort. While the location is 35 to 40 minutes from Ubud, it offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle. If you’re looking for a secluded and comfortable retreat with outstanding service, this is the place to be. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing jungle view from the room as well as from the swimming pool. Room with bathroom is extremely clean and cozy. The surrounding of the hotel is quiet and beautiful. Hotel is providing many services like massage, motorbike rental, tours, taxi service. Also food in the hotel restaurant is quite good.

Only good things I can say about this place :) it is located right next to the jungle! The view from the room was stunning. Room was huge. Bathroom was super clean (and also the room). The staff is so helpful and nice (special thanks for Tutik who was helping out with the requests we had- that made our stay so comfortable). Overall- great. I recommend to stay here!

Just few comments: the hotel is a little bit far from Ubud, like 20 minutes by bike and there is a lot of traffic jam, but the surroundings are so beautiful, so you just enjoy the trip. The staff has lost the T-shirt of my husband in laundry, which was new and was part of the present, still it is not a problem, but I recommend staff to be a little bit more attentive, as there were also moments with shortcomings in organizing my husband's surprise for me and some requests that the staff forgot about. But you are so sweet and nice that we were ready to forgive you everything)

It was our first time in Bali and I am so happy that we started our trip from Ubud and booked this lovely new hotel. The villa itself was just amazing with all you need: super comfortable bed, nice outer bathroom, netflix/youtube/amazon premium facilities, amazing breakfast which you choose from the menu, nice pool and general area was so green and fantastic. The staff is very friendly and nice. We have a great communication with you and you were very kind to us. The hotel is new, we also booked it for a very nice price.

It is 30 minutes to the centre of Ubud. So unless you drive a scooter, you will need to get a driver. There are not a lot of shops close by. It would have been good to have a robe in your room and milk in the fridge (not just powdered).

The rooms were big and clean the staff were friendly and so helpful. It is quiet, and you are surrounded by lush gardens and nature. I loved the outdoor covered shower/bathroom, and the fact it was a smaller resort with a calming pool area. The breakfast was good, and there were various choices. The restaurant meals I ate were tasty and well presented. You receive complimentary water, muesli bar snacks, and softdrink daily in your room.

I think the room could be inspected better from insects and mosquitoes as I still have many bites till now from my stay. The hotel is literally in the middle of the mountains so you have to expect seeing insects and next to the swimming pool too. And the hotel is not easy to find by Grab so we had to wait too long for grab to come and you can take a local driver but it’s more expensive. The breakfast presentation is nice but the food taste is meh could be better.

It’s really nice hotel and the rooms are super nice with a huge shower and bath. The hotel swimming pool is the best it’s clean and with a very nice view. The hotel is quiet and calm the stuff are nice and friendly especially tuti she was helpful. They have a good thing that the breakfast time is flexible so you can order your breakfast at any time and we had an afternoon tea and photo session with our booking.

Was a little far out from central ubud, so just be prepared to allow for extra travel time. You can still access the grab app/ drivers from this area.

The wooden villa was such a beautiful and unique experience! The semi outdoors bathroom was amazing, from the bath to the rain shower. It was set in a little bit of paradise, the pool area made you feel like you were in the middle of nowhere. The staff are all so accommodating and welcoming. Great food too!

There is limited beds at the pool (I think 8) and 13 villas maybe, there was only one occasion where we couldn’t get a bed and that’s because a group of 6 had just arrived and had taken the majority of the beds. By no means the staffs fault but that is just to be noted.

The best staff we have ever experienced. We made friendships, they just want you to have the best trip. The villas are so clean and spacious, outdoor shower and bath were awesome really immersed in nature. The food at the restaurant is awesome and good value - we ate every night there.

The restaurant is very small and was right next to our room so it was very noisy till 11 pm when it closed. So don't take the villa next to the restaurant if you want a quiet time . The location is in the countryside and quite far away from the center of town. So it's good if you are looking for a quiet break.

sometimes not enough space by the pool for everyone but this only happened to us once during our 4 day stay.

a beautiful new hotel exactly as described. A true oasis. you are a fair distance out of Ubud but it’s fine booking Grab or Gojek scooters or of course the hotel will organise transport for you. we loved the location to be away from the bustle of Ubud central but able to go in and out if we wanted. to eat and shop.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The place is new, with a beautiful and spacious shower. The grounds are lush and green, filled with a variety of plants, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The on-site restaurant was cozy, and the food was delicious. Our room was consistently restocked with fresh water, and the welcome cake and fruit were a lovely touch. The pool area was also fantastic—perfect for unwinding. The staff was incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

I don’t have any negative feedback at all - it was an excellent stay. I think maybe just worth noting that it’s in a quieter part of Ubud, out of the busy centre - but I liked this as it was extremely peaceful and serene. I think also worth noting that sometimes Grab drivers got lost trying to find the place - however the staff were wonderful with speaking with the driver and directing them when this happened.

I had a really wonderful stay at Unagi Wooden Villas. The rooms, gardens, and pool are beautiful, and the restaurant very delicious (the included breakfast is exceptional and very generous!). I also really appreciated the efforts of the restaurant for me as a vegetarian guest - the chef made the satay with tofu (which was absolutely delicious), and the vegetarian nasi goreng was served with egg, tofu and tempeh and was also excellent. I never felt like I was missing out. The staff are exceptional - very courteous, warm, and thoughtful. They always gave the impression that nothing was too difficult in terms of making sure you had the best stay possible. I tried the in-room massage, which was very good, and arranged a driver via the hotel, which was very easy. I am so grateful to the Unagi team for such a fantastic stay - thank you. I would return in a heartbeat!
