Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United StatesThere was not much to dislike about this little gem but the breakfast was nothing special. It was include in this very cheap stay so I hate to complain. The resort is about 15 to 20 mins from an town so you are a bit isolated. Just keep that in mind and enjoy being in the middle of no where. The wifi was decent but wasn’t great in the rooms.
This place was located in the most beautiful lush green mountains views. The staff was unbelievably kind and helpful. They had a free shuttle to an amazing hike that allowed you to see four to five waterfalls. Such a lovely peaceful getaway. I would highly recommend if looking for a relaxing couple days in nature!

AustraliaOur stay at Villa Ipsa was just wonderful. Hubby and I stayed in a Cottage which had an amazing view. The cottage had everything we needing such as mosquito net above bed, good size bathroom, mini fridge, table and seating on balcony and a comfy big size bed. The cottage was clean and comfortable and great value for money. We attended morning yoga which is free and also used the onsite sauna every late afternoon before dinner. The view from the property pool was to die for. Staff at Villa Ipsa were so helpful during our stay with the star of the show being Nova. He is one of the most helpful employees we’ve ever encountered through all of our trips to Bali. He’s such a gem. Overall everything was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again.

AustraliaMountain roads are steep and winding in places, for people not used to it...
Great view from top floor room. Pool fantastic with views too. Short drive to waterfalls. The morning yoga was an excellent start to the day. And then massage after a day of hiking was also perfect!

Czech RepublicWe felt completely at home in this hotel. Villa Ipsa is a beautiful quiet hotel. We had a room with a breathtaking view of the jungle. Really very nice staff- special thanks to a guy named Puta Nova who recommended beautiful places in the area and thanks to his good English we could talk about life and local traditions in Bali. We were also very happy to take advantage of services like Balinese massage, morning yoga and rented a scooter on the spot. We would love to come back again :-)

BelarusThe location is pretty far from everything (20 minutes by scooter to waterfalls in Munduk, 40 minutes to the temple on the lake), no markets around (closest in Gobleg - 10 mins by scooter). There is a warung in hostel nearby for a cheaper price. The location is good if you travel by scooter. There was some water leaking in the toilet - we have not reported. Not everyone from the stuff speaks english well - not big deal, we used translator. Cleaning stuff moved our wet clothes and towels to balcony every day - we didn't like it. Couple of times wifi was switched off at nights, we thought about it as a digital detox :D Compared to other places, pool was cold. But after sauna it was perfect! In general we enjoyed our stay and relaxed.
Villa and territory around is very nice and pretty big: swimming pool, herbal plantation, sauna box, massage place, few yoga places, restaurant. We really enjoyed the yoga classes in the mornings, breakfast (both American and Indonesian), Herbal plantation tour, view from the room was very beautiful (we lived on the second floor), sauna experience was also good (max 70C). It is definitely a great stop for couple of days to visit waterfalls, twin lakes and temples (we have visited everything in first 3 days). Also there is a shuttle to Munduk. The stuff was very helpful and attentive. Room was cleaned every day, everyday there was new water bottles 600 ml per person.

GibraltarAll good :)
The property has anything you need for a pleasant stay, we rent a cabin that was new and the view was fantastic. Except the cabin you can have free of charge Yoga every morning. Sauna and Gym. The breakfast at the property is very good and if you want to stay and relax you can explore the botanical gardens and small factories of coffee, tea and ethereal oils that are part of this Villa.

CanadaNot specific to the hotel but the area, I do suggest renting a scooter! Without, it is not easy to get around and can feel quite secluded, and FYI the roads are steep with quick turns so some experience is helpful!
Really enjoyed my stay here, I extended by a few days! Rooms were comfortable, spacious with a large terrace and beautiful view. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, breakfast was great, pool and free morning yoga!

United KingdomLocation is quite remote and so it was quite tricky to get to using Gojek at night, definitely recommend booking a driver through the hotel to save the headache.
The property is large and impressive, with a peaceful vibe and very pretty views. Staff were helpful in suggesting activities and arranging transport, they genuinely wanted you to have the best experience. Highly recommend going and doing the little circular walk through the rice paddies nearby. The free morning yoga class was nice. The food was so-so but not bad. Overall we enjoyed our time here and wish we had a couple more days in the area.

Indonesia- the hotel is a bit isolated, you def need a car or a scooter to move around - sometimes the hot water doesn't work - we have the quiet and calm downstair-room but my in-laws have the room on the restaurant's level and they hear roosters at night and scooters early morning
Honestly everything: - they have proper parking for cars - all the staff was warm and helpful - beautiful view, nice pool, well-cared garden - the room is clean, has a lot of storage, plugs close to the bed, a small fridge, tiny terrasse with a beautiful view - a lot of options for breakfast: salty or sweet and a self-service/buffet breakfast - daily cleaning (when asked)

RomaniaNot much to say here, it was our best stay in Bali, we loved it and didn't want to leave after 4 nights. It's quite remote, no other restaurants or shops nearby. Taxis are expensive, there is no grab or gojek here.
Best value for money in Bali, it was great having everything included, such as the pool, sauna, yoga, a great view, herbal garden, tasty bufet breakfast with delicious fruits, free shuttle to Munduk Village, etc. Daily cleaning Our host, Nova, took great care of us, he was just amazing helping us to find drivers, schedule massage and provide advices for best tours in the area. Good food in their restaurant, just a few choices but they were delicious. Free water refill.

GermanyThere were a lot of ants in my room, which is partially understandable as it is on the ground floor. Still not super pleasant.
The staff is friendly and ready to help you whenever needed (for example finding a driver). The breakfast was good and the yoga class really great as we had a teacher from India. On top of this, they have a very nice view.

AustraliaNot a big range of choice in restaurant and as a hotel was more than Warung prices and no other options within walking distance.
Quality hotel in a beautiful area with stunning views. Wonderful sunsets. We were upgraded and had a large room with a large balcony and huge bed. There was a large open area near the yoga pavilion which was perfect for early morning tai chi and yoga and we also attended the free morning yoga class each morning. The swimming pool was lovely. We did not do it but cooking classes were available and a shuttle into Munduk. Went for a walk to the nearby rice fields which were quintessential Bali. Cool mornings and nights as in mountains. We liked the breakfast.

SingaporeIt's not really anything bad on the hotel at all. More of a FYI to those coming to Munduk that while you may be able to take a Grab to the hotel, your day-to-day activities within Munduk would require you to get a full-day driver (arranged by the hotel) as Grabs don't come there. It's perfect for a group of 4-6, though if you're 7, then you'd need 2 vehicles. It's also about almost an hour's drive towards most things we wanted to do, so keep in mind the distance between your planned activities and the hotel location. Otherwise, purely from the hotel experience, it was really great!
The staff were very welcoming, even gave us a welcome drink when we checked in. One of them, Nova, is always happy to go above and beyond to help us in any questions we had so that was very much appreciated!
