Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsSometimes, people talk inside the dorm, so if you want to sleep early, bring earplugs. It has two toilets and one shower, but we managed to use the facilities without a problem.
This place has good energy; I felt at home. Zoro organizes "family dinners," and it's great to have good dinner times and conversations with other travellers. The bed is comfortable, and the AC works well. This place is one large dorm with ten beds and a beautiful dog.

FinlandI have nothing negative to say.
I loved the atmosphere of the hostel. It was beautiful, clean and cozy. The price is incredibly reasonable. The hosts are very welcoming and genuine. Out of all the places I stayed in Bali, this was my favorite. For me, it was better than staying in a private hotel room that was 5 times the price.

United StatesThe towel provided didn’t dry very well in the room, in spite of the hook on the stairs being provided. Perhaps it was because there was afternoon rain everyday and things never dried. My towel smelled like a dirty cat box by the time I left (4 days) due to dampness and the towel not completely drying during my stay. I wish there as a designated area for smoking. During my visit, there were several smokers and there was no place to sit away from smokers except in the alley in the rain or in bed. I had difficulty with shoes on/off to cross between the bedroom and common sitting area across the breezeway because I have a knee brace and need to wear ankle supporting hiking boots. I adapted, but when it was wet, it was challenging to try and balance myself on the step to put my boots.
It was an amazing stay with Zoro and his family. The 10 bed room is spacious and beds are large and super comfortable. Large lockers are provided with a lock, so storing valuables were easy. There was lots of room under the bed for storing backpacks. Each bed has a curtain, outlet and light. I found my bed to be private and quiet. Zoro is a wealth of knowledge about local activities and find the best prices. The location was very quiet and morning was greeted with the sounds of birds chirping. Such a tranquil and special place. I felt at home and wanted to extend my stay, but had reservations that were not cancelable. Several authentic and very affordable restaurants are close by to enjoy meals overlooking rice terraces.

EstoniaThe best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The moment I arrived I felt so welcomed and Zoro and his family is the best. It is so calm and cozy there, at first I was supposed to stay there for only 3 nights but I continued my stay for another 6 and even came back. And so many guest have extended their stay while being there. It is like home away from home. And all the lovely people you meet while staying there. If you need anything or some advice Zoro always helps. 1000 out of 10 I recommend this place for your stay. ✨🫶

This Ubud hostel is truly spectacular! 🙌🙌🙌 The thoughtful design is immediately apparent, from the unique concrete bunk beds with ample space and comfortable mattresses to the spacious room accommodating only eight guests – a rarity in hostels. The entire hostel boasts a fresh, authentic Balinese aesthetic with carefully chosen colors, photographs, and a serene water 💧 feature. Located on a hillside, it offers a quieter escape from the bustling town center while still being within walking distance of the Monkey Forest and excellent restaurants. The real gem, however, is the owner and their family. Their warm ❤️hospitality and genuine passion for Ubud create a truly welcoming atmosphere. The owner's local connections provide access to unique experiences and ensure reliable service. Staying here feels like visiting a friend's house, complete with a built-in community of fellow travelers. The impeccable cleanliness, high ceilings, and overall ambiance make you feel like you're in a private villa with a vibrant social scene. It's no wonder this hostel consistently receives high praise, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional Ubud experience. Key takeaways: Unique Bunk Beds: Comfortable and spacious, ensuring privacy. Spacious Rooms: Eight beds max, offering ample personal space. Stunning Design: Authentic Balinese style with thoughtful touches. Prime Location: Hillside setting with easy access to attractions. Exceptional Hospitality: Warm and welcoming owners with local connections. Cleanliness & Comfort: High ceilings, immaculate rooms, and overall comfort. Vibrant Community: A welcoming atmosphere with opportunities to connect with fellow travelers. A must visit!
