Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MauritiusThe rooms need to be renovated, too old. Lacks cleanliness especially toilet and sink. Also, they should conduct a pest control for lizards. Maybe it is because the rooms are close to some trees but not pleasant at all having lizards all around. It has so much potential and can do better.
The staff were very helpful, food was really good and a great location. We got full privacy. Hot water available but had a few issues, the staff provided assistance immediately.

PortugalArrived in the evening and it was difficult to find where it was. Noise from the street bars nearby until 2am. Bathroom didn’t have a door.
Nice staff. Very welcoming. Simple but good breakfast. Walking distance to Ubud centre and the monkey forest.

United Kingdom- Location was off of Main Street, however there was a lot of noise from the bars along the street at night which was on until late (our balcony door had a gap when closed which probably didn’t help with this). - Wifi could occasionally be a little spotty and we would lose connection.
- Pool area was nice - would be nice to have some chairs/sun beds though as none were out on our visit. - Staff were friendly and helpful, Adi in particular was really accommodating and helped us to arrange extra services such as laundry and activities within the area. Thankyou again! - Rooms were cleaned daily. - We stayed in a double room and it was very spacious, bed were comfortable and air con worked well. - Location was good, close to loads of shops and restaurants. The palace is within walking distance too. - Breakfast was nice with a fruit bowl included, limited choice (as expected with it being free), however it would be nice to have the choice and be able to pay a little extra to upgrade and order off of the full breakfast menu.

GermanyMy room was at first very dusty, with dirty mirror and floor. - I communicated this and someone kindly cleaned the room right away, so I could feel comfortable.
Close to the center. Everything in walking distance. - Every morning a tasty Balinese style breakfast on the terrace of the attached small restaurant.

ItalyWe had some issues with the shower which wasn't working on our first day there. Also, we booked a room with 2 king-size beds for 3 people and we received one with just one king-size bed and a single mattress on the floor.
The room was big and clean, and the location was great, in the center of Ubud.

New ZealandThe rooms were dirty a quick wipe around the floors but not in any other places. The pool was green. There was no door to the bathroom just a shower curtain and the water didn’t go down when having a shower. The doors didn’t close properly to the outside so it was extremely noisey at night. The air conditioning leaked all over the mid floor of the stairs and was very slippery
Good location and a nice breakfast

SingaporeThe main problem was the noise and weak Wifi connection. For the noise, the massive bar right next to this Wahyu accommodation plays quite loud music every night from 7 pm to 1~2am, sometimes live music nights. so I had to use earplugs every night and could manage to sleep, but it was quite annoying as I am a bit sensitive to noise. and in the morning, you can wake up due to Kids chatting and giggling in the parking lot cum a soccer field in front of the building. It seems the school starts around 7-7:30 a.m., and they start their day by playing something in the morning. but these noise problems are nothing the Wahyu people can do about. I just wanted to know this kind of information before my booking. The second problem was the weak Wifi. The cafe had a quite good and stable wifi connection, but in my room, I couldn't connect to the Internet. There was a 3-strong wifi signal and my machines, iPhone, ipad, and a laptop, have connected with it, but no internet or very irregular connection. Somehow, just browsing on the net in my room was quite hard. so if you are a nomad person or have to reply on a good Wifi, you need to go down to the cafe area or find other places.
The staff were fantastic as they are always ready to help you and they did whenever I have requests. and the breakfast provided was amazing too. I loved to have breakfast at their cafe downstairs before starting my days. and the room is very spacious, clean, and comfy. Needless to say, the location is in the middle of the Ubud center, so very convenient to go sightseeing or even finding restaurants nearby.
