Russell made sure we had a good stay and made the best of our time in Gerupuk. He offered advice on where to go and arranged the scooter and surfing lessons for us. He is a very attentive and welcoming host. Breakfast was delicious and generous ! The common area around the pool is very nice and the room was comfortable.

Amazing value for money. Secure accommodation with lockable metal gate at the entrance, plus comfortable bed with good air con and reliable wifi. Hot water showers with great water pressure made it such a relaxing place to come back to after a big day of surfing and exploring the island. Shoutout to the property caretaker Sulis, who was really lovely and accommodating during the stay.

Close to everything (although Grupuk is a small town). Good AC, nice little pool and very comfortable bed. Bathroom basic but good. Sulis who works there when the owner is away is awesome, she helps with everything: scooter rental, Surfboat, where to eat and what to explore around the area. Breakfast is 4 options and quite sturdy so perfect after an early morning surf session.

The bathroom had smelled a little but not bothering me much.

The breakfast was delicious and the accommodation was located on a road close to the big road and a really nice surfers restaurant called “Fin’s”. The owner Russell is a really nice Australian guy who goes surfing a lot. He brought us along with him and a guide to learn how to surf. Waves are great and the guide was really good! The owner takes time getting to know the visitor.

The daily 4:45 AM call to prayer forced us to use a speaker and background sound effects. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep until sunrise. This is a Muslim community, and it comes with the territory. Every property in town will offer this same experience.

Wave House was a great stay. We intentionally sought a minimalist room, and this was a great value. The AC was cold, and the bed was comfortable. The pool was clean and refreshing and a welcome amenity. Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty. My partner had the omelet daily, and fresh-cut fruit was always available. The location was secure, and the staff was friendly. Russell is a conscious host and ensured we had what we needed for a great stay. They arranged for scooters and a surf boat at lower than the walk-up rates.

Russell is great and helpful. The pool is nice to jump in when it gets too hot. The breakfast is good. Close to great surfing spots.

Everything but most important: Russell. Russell is an amazing guy who knows everything about surfing in the region. He has his own boat, so he can arrange a ride to the surf spot and a surf guide. We booked for 2 days and we ended up staying for 9 days. We felt at home! Selice cooks the best pancakes for breakfast. The pool adds extra value to the place.

Russell was a great host who facilitated our stay. He helped us to source snorkelling gear, organised scooters and told us about excellent surfing and snorkelling spots. The breakfast was delicious. And great suggestion of dinner options even in Kuta. The tree house restaurant in Kuta was delicious. I really enjoyed the little chats we had. 😊Thanks Russell. Might see you in Perth 😉

One thing to note is that there is a mosque in the area, so the chanting can be a bit noisy. Bringing ear plugs is a good idea, but it's important to note that this is common across Lombok island.

I recently stayed at Wave House in Gerupuk and had an amazing time thanks to the hospitality of the host, Russel. He went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and safe, and his staff was equally helpful in organizing a scooter for me and serving delicious breakfast. The accommodation was impeccably clean and well-maintained, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a hot shower, which is not so common in Gerupuk. The wifi was also very stable and fast, which was important to me as I was working during my stay and had no problem connecting to the internet. I would highly recommend Wave House to anyone visiting Gerupuk and would definitely stay here again if I have the chance. Thank you, Russel, for making my stay at Wave House so enjoyable!

This was my second time in the place and I was happy with everything! Cannot add anything to the first review I left here. Just that I got a chance to meet Russell and he is very welcoming host and good person.

Neighbours have roasters, which can be annoying if you are sensitive in your sleep. And as the place is located on the main road and the village wakes up early you can hear the bikes pretty early as well. those things were not the problem for me, but it can be for someone.

Felt like home. Staff is so friendly and welcoming, place is located in the very local small village, so if you like to be surrounded by locals you will get most from it! For some social party life it is easy to get to Kuta (15 min drive). The roads are amazing - nothing in common with Bali. Cool thing is that the place is just 1 min by bike from the beach where you take the boat to Gerupuk surf spots, and this is so convenient! They also help you with the boat ride to the line up for less price than others. And the lady who works in the guesthouse helps with everything - bike rent, book the boat, laundry, piece of advice where to go :) I had really good experience staying at Wave House and already have another booking - coming back here.

The pool was out of order with a pump issue or something and we purely booked this place for the pool for out child. Not end of the world but that's the o ly thing we "didn't like"

It was very clean and secure with gate being locked at night. Lovely staff and lovely breakfast, great value for money! Water cooler in the kitchen and a fridge in your room was nice.

Awesome breakfast, clean, great set up and service, good to meet other surfers and understand the area /best spots. Russel organised everything for us: a new scooter, laundry service, etc.
