Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesI guess there was a certain smell in the bathrooms. It was not necessarily bad but it was an unfamiliar odor. I also wished there was an on-call substitute chef so we could order from the hostel's extensive menu.
I loved the warmth of Nina and Andini, the female receptionists. I enjoyed having conversations with them. They were very helpful. I also appreciated the help the male staff extended.

United KingdomStrangely one element which is desirable, over here was too much and I am referring to the shower mixer that was giving only very hot water.
The location is great. Small room but comfortable bed and quiet. Air conditioning not too noisy.

SingaporeThe location was good but without any signage to identify. Very often transport providers were not very sure about the location. Already suggested to host to make a simple but relatively prominent sign of "6" at the doorstep to indicated address number
Staff are friendly & helpful. Facilities are basic but good enough. It would be ideal if a microwave oven and bread toaster can be added.

United KingdomLovely 3 day stay at Wonderloft Hostel. The private room was well appointed and clean. Comfy beds slept very well! Large communal area on the ground floor with TV and pool table, plenty of seating. The hotel is located near Kota train station so very easy to get around the city. The staff were great, in particular Andini. She was very friendly and sweet; she showed us around Bogor and the botanical gardens, also had a delicious 'Soto Mie Bogor' and ginger beer. The staff kindly let us borrow Kai cards to get around the city. Would recommend.

Sri LankaI suppose a bigger group staying for a longer time means good income but the overall atmosphere becomes less enjoyable in my opinion. The atmosphere becomes kind of closed, similar like in a hotel, which a hostel should not be wary of. Messy kitchen most of the time but this most likely had to do with the aforementioned group of students that was around.
The staff was excellent, kind and helpful and as far as I can tell they speak English very well. Nice style of dorms with the "pods", good for privacy. Location near the old centre with an enjoyable atmosphere, especially during the evening. Also the price was very affordable.

FranceThe shared shower could be a bit more clean, but besides the hostel is super clean.
We had a very good welcome even pretty late (10PM), Staff is amazing, smiling and always ready to help. Rooms are clean and confortable. There is a shared kitchen and tables to eat there which is super nice if you stay some time (and pretty unusual in Asia !). We do recommand this place.

United KingdomI found the vibe a bit odd. Probably just down to luck, but there were some very unpleasant (European) people in my dorm. There isn't any form of social organisation so while the breakout areas have potential, it was a bit meh. One of the days I stayed a man appeared in the dorm in the early afternoon, had a sleep and then disappeared by the evening. Not sure if they're renting these beds by the hour? Another time I was sat in front of the fan in the communal area and one of the staff came over and turned it off. Jakarta is hot and humid, so, simply, whyyyyyy? Another guest has mentioned they they don't give out sheets and I think the hostel misunderstood the comment. There's a fitted sheet on each bed but then only a polyester blanket to sleep under, which isn't the greatest but you get used to it.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable, lockers were big and wifi was good. AC was just right. Location was fantastic- 30 mins from the airport, in the old town and walkable to Chinatown. Also a 5 minute walk to the main Kota station and the Transkjakarta bus stop for route 1, which takes you to the National Monument and National Museum, amongst other things. It's a very diverse clientele, with local and international clients.
