For some people it might be a bit too far from everything... but that's exactly what I liked about this homestay. :)

The fact that it's just two houses and the main house where the owners are living in, makes this place perfect to relax. I also loved that the houses were made with wood and the very VERY spacious tropical open air bathroom.

A small suggestion is that directional signage is placed in the access road immediately before the final turn to the entrance. At present, it's easy to miss the turn .

A perfect escape from the congestion and over development of southern Bali. The two villas are well designed and set in beautiful grounds.. There are great views of the various nearby islands, including Lombok. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was generous. There were plenty of good nearby restaurants .

there’s not much to dislike, the stairs leading down to the ocean are very slippery but that’s pretty hard to prevent.

we really liked the the setup here. Outdoor bathroom is awesome, great sunset views, good snorkelling right off the front when the water is calm. friendly staff, and good breakfast. lots of places to eat within a 10 minute walking distance, or you can go right next-door.

The outdoor bathroom, although cute, gets very wet when it rains. So the floor is wet a lot of the time. This was a bit inconvenient, especially at night.

We had a great time. The cabin was very comfortable, especially the bed, and was made up each day by the very nice staff. It was lovely to be served breakfast on the veranda, looking at the sea. There was a good choice of breakfast and it was well cooked. The pool is a bit bigger than it looks in the photos and has a great view. We liked going through the back gate to the resort next door where there is an excellent, very reasonably priced ocean-front restaurant that has regular free dance shows. It's a short walk into Mendira, where there are other eateries. The owners were very friendly, but not intrusive.

Quiet, friendly, professional, clean. A small two unit operation run by the sweetest couple. Can’t beat the rooms for coziness or the views. Highly recommended. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Wooden house was beyond our expectations. Tranquil and sublime. Absolute paradise. The breakfast was amazing as was the outdoor bathroom, room facilities and the staff. We ordered meals in from a nearby restaurant- best food on the whole trip. I would return in a heartbeat.

Nothing, the stay was excellent.

This was the first place we arrived in Bali. It was super calm and the rooms were cozy and clean. However, the highlight of this place was the hospitality of the staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. It was the best first impression of the hospitable and kind nature of the balinese. The breakfast was also really good!

Wooden House is in a beautiful tranquil setting overlooking the ocean. There are only 2 properties which share a lovely swimming pool and gardens. It is authentic Balinese accommodation with a comfortable bed, adequate storage,great ac, ceiling fan. There is an indoor/outdoor bathroom with 2 showers which provide plenty of hot water and supplied toiletries also. The owners live on site but respect your privacy, they are very approachable, welcoming and extremely helpful re advice on restaurants, local area and transport. Their staff too are brilliant from providing breakfast on your terrace, to the daily cleaning and beautiful manicured gardens. There are enough great Warungs within a 15 min walk which provide complimentary pickup and drop off service if you wish. Overall a great stay at this gem of a property and would highly recommend. 😘

I would like a bit more shade around the pool. Perhaps an umbrella by the pool?

The size of the property with only 2 bungalows was a big drawcard for us. The location, right on the beach and a little away from the hub, but within walking distance also appealed. The place had a nice chilled vibe, staff were fabulous as were the owners. We would come back in a heartbeat. Felt like home! Breakfast was great too! A little piece of paradise! What an incredible stay! The staff are just incredible and so attentive and kind. The view spectacular and the pool clean and perfect for a cool down. This property is very passionate about supporting all local businesses and offered great food delivery options and other needs like massage and transport. Breakfast was so delicious and delivered to your room. Just amazing!

Everything was top notch! But since we are in our 70s it was a little challenging to get into the ocean when the tide was up, but we just had to be careful getting in and the water was really nice. The pool on the premises is great.

In theory could be isolated if you don’t have a car or want to walk around. This didn’t matter for us since it was a short stay and the property itself was gorgeous and has everything you need.

A wonderful cabin accomodation at a top spot in Candidasa. Owners are very welcoming and nice, staff is outstanding, always ready and helpful with a smile 🥰 good resturants around. When staying on the premises you experience peace and calmness with only the sound of sea waves playing in the background.
