Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThe room is lovely but the only thing that lets is down is the poor lighting,It wud benefit from a main light in the room, and not a lamp on the desk with an orange bulb, didn't give off great light at all but that's my only complaint

United KingdomBreakfast isn’t free/ included in the price which is a massive downfall having to find somewhere to eat outside due to the price of it in the hotel. Not very many hotels provide a complementary breakfast now but should when you pay enough for your stay. Maybe something the hotel could look into in future.
It was our first time staying here since before Covid. The hotel has went under some renovations and now looks the part.

PortugalNothing particularly concerning the Hotel, but O'Connel is getting rough. Economic problems are getting worst and you can see it in the people.
I liked the hotel a lot; The hotel and the room was comfy and felt modern, the staff were very friendly, the location is great specially if you are using Aircoach to travel from/to the Airport since O'connel's bus stop is 2 mns from the Hotel. Ate the breakfast once. It was good but it's the same as most hotels so I decided to skip it the remaining days. There's decent coffees near the hotel for a different breakfast experience. The hotel is being renovated but only heard noises during the day time. If like me, you are only in the hotel mostly for sleeping, it won't affect you.

Polandthe internet was very weak up to not working at all, i had to work and ii could not since the wi fi was not working for a whole day and when it was working it was too slow. the shower head is fixed to the wall you cannot move or adjust it and the water stream was soo weak i had to fill in a bath to properly wash myself, this is really unacceptable at this level of a hotel. the beds were separated and mattresses so soft we thought it's a water bed, not comfortable at all. the windows are not 100% isolated so we had some noise at nights very late since it's close to the main street. we have notify the stuff about the shower and internet they did try to help to resolve but the problem was not resolve so they suggested replacing a room which was not realistic at late hours and we had a very early start on the next morning
the hotel's location was very good just off the main street we could do almost everything by foot. it was also close to the bus coach to the airport breakfast is open buffet nice warm selection, no fresh vegetables.

United States Minor Outlying IslandsWhat I didn't like and should have been informed of upon checking in was the so called safety check during the night. I was a lone traveler and I was woken up late in the night with someone trying to get into my room, or so I thought, the next night someone did it again and I went to the door and spoke to them but couldn't hear them clearly and then my door opened and I yelled at them. I called the front desk and a lady came up and said she was the night manager and that it was her checking that the doors were shut as a safety precaution. I have stayed there before and that never happened, not sure what's going on but I didn't appreciate it and it made me feel unsafe that someone could just open your door while you were sleeping. So if this is something that you do then you need to inform your guests upon check in!
I have stayed here before with no problems, room size good, clean and comfortable, staff friendly, breakfast was good also.

CanadaThe restaurant in the hotel is very average as far as quality goes, a bit expensive too.
Location is excellent, right off O’Connell Street. Murray’s Pub is just around the corner and there’s a convenience store very close. Our room was a bit small but the value was good considering where we were.

United StatesNo parking at the hotel. You can park the car in a public carpark across the road, however it costs a fortune. You do get a discounted rate by staying at the hotel however is still expensive.
Spacious room and a great price. If you purchase the breakfast the day before it is cheaper and excellent value for money. Staff were very helpful.

United Kingdomon our first morning there was a letter under the door asking for immediate payment which was a surprise as the first night was already debited to my cc, when we left to go down we could not get in again as the key was deactivated. I find this rude. The breakfast is rich in choice but the food in the hot buffet was not warm, but semi cold.

New Zealand-TV is NOT ‘interactive’ like the description says - we expected chromecast or something like that however the only ‘interactive’ it is is a tv remote. -Very dark room - relatively small window that didn’t allow much light in at all. -Extractor fan in bathroom might as well not be there… very ineffective.

United KingdomNothing that we would fault, if we were to be picky it would be a the view from the window.
Really clean and great location. Staff are really friendly and were always there to help. We had a small double, which on some reviews, have said is too small. Personally, we really liked the room, it was cosy.

United KingdomBeing here 3 other times we were in room 129 and out of the rooms we have stopped in this was our least favourite. We had in our room 1 double bed and 2 singles. One of the bed close to the window was so uncomfortable not like the other beds. So me as mum i slept on that. On arrival out room floor was quite dirty. I always thought it was good for the mo ey but what i paid this time i didnt think it was.
I love the hotel we have stopped here 3 other times. I would come here again but not stop in the room we were in. Staff friendly the breakfast buffet is amazing
