Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe only thing that was somewhat irksome was that the shower requires your to press a button nearly continuously to get water. It makes getting clean difficult.
This was a very affordable way to stay in Doolin. The room was clean, and it was very nice to have an in suite bathroom and shower. It does comfortably sleep 4 (in 3 beds) but be aware that the room is small and might not be good to stay with a family for more than a few nights. It was a very good experience for us, though.

AustraliaIt would have been good if the communal kitchen area were open earlier than 8 AM, so we could access our food in the fridge and get started a little earlier in the day.
The location was great, the staff was friendly, and the living area was cozy and comfortable.

IrelandThough there is a policy that noise should be up until 11pm, I still heard people laughing on the hallway (which is not the place’s fault).
Place is very near the centre. Around 20 min walk to Doolin pier. 2 min walk to bus stop (Bus Eireean drop and pick up). Firz pub is just 2 minute walk as well. The receptionist (forgot her name) was lovely and accommodating. I asked if I can leave my stuff before going on a tour in the morning and they are more than willing to accomodate. There is a tourism office nearby if you want to book any tours. So technically, the place is quite accessible to everything. Good place to stay if your just crashing in after a tiring trip outside. Tips: Bring your own toiletries and towel. If you are going on a tour in the morning and have a backpack or small luggage, it’s wise to leave it on the hotel prior to check in or if going to Aran Islands, you can ask the tour company if you can leave your stuff. This makes the trip easier without bringing too much stuff on a tour.

Location was great, and they have a car park. And I liked that you could have a private bathroom when traveling with children.

United StatesWe were unaware towels were not provided, and we were not traveling with our own towels. Fortunately a few towels were provided when asked, but not enough for each person in our group. We only stayed one night, and not everyone needed a shower, but please know to bring your own towels!
Excellent location, great parking, easy check-in and check-out, walkable to restaurants and pubs, picturesque surroundings, suitable beds, and laundry facility available. Eco-friendly with water-saving push-button shower, and towels available upon request. Clean bed linens and no-nonsense, make-your-own breakfast provided. Our group ranged in age from 6 years to teenagers to adults in their 40s.

AustraliaThe woman running the place was a bit abrupt but the bloke was very helpful.
It was in a good spot. I haven't rated it that well but I guess in this instance, you get what you pay for. It was a reasonable price but I wouldn't call it great value for money.

United KingdomWe had a great stay, and were kindly offered a larger room when we arrived. Close to Cliffs of Moher trail, short drive from Doolin Cave, 30 minute walk to harbour to leave for Aran Islands. Facilities were great, had lots of room and utensils in kitchen, and comfortable communal rooms. Staff were lovely and we’d definitely recommend!
