Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesReally cozy little spot, especially nice in the single room with private bathroom. Host accommodated late check-in with clear instructions and was super helpful and sweet. Little outside of the city centre

CanadaTraditional Irish home with very comfortable beds, fabulous location surrounding by grocery stores, excellent pubs serving good food and the best Guinness! Access to City bus and Taxi. Bernie is a gracious host, extremely helpful, providing good tips and info on tours, restaurants and bus routes. I highly recommend staying at the Botanic B&B. Thank you Bernie!

United KingdomThe only thing I did not like was there was no access to a toilet downstairs. But that was mainly because my friend could not do the stairs often.
Loved the location, the breakfast room and the room was spacious and comfortable. Good shower to and comfortable bed.

United KingdomPeople can complain that the bathroom is small, but most of the places in Ireland don't offer a private bathroom so we are thankful for having privacy. This is not a complaint about the accommodation but the transport, if you want to use the bus and in your country every bus has card payments, it's a NO in Ireland, so be prepared with coins, no notes (and the exact amount as they don't give change) or buy your tickets upfront.
The place was outstanding! The host was absolutely amazing, she gave us a personalised leaflet with a map of the city and the place, including options for transport, places to visit, pubs and recommendations. Tbh, I never received this type of attention and was impressed. The accommodation has a central location, there are different pubs and restaurants around the area, supermarkets, and the bus stop is located on the next corner which can transport you to most tourist places. Talking about the room, it was impressively clean. I have been traveling to different countries and the accommodations from booking are not the cleanest in comparison to other platforms. Still, this place was not only clean but pleasant, the bathroom was small but enough for having privacy for my partner and me, the host offered us an extra blanket but not needed as the room had heaters and a good duvet. I felt like I was at home. Additionally, we had no access to the full kitchen but not needed, we could use the microwave, kettle for hot water, cluttery and plates and the host was in charge of washing the dishes; also, the host offered breakfast for free, she offered toast, butter, jam, cereal, bananas, coffee, sugar, and milk, I know this is not a continental breakfast but this absolutely helped us for save money on morning food and spend it on some Guinness! We are very thankful for this experience. We will for sure book again if visit Dublin in the future. THANK YOU SO MUCH, BERNIE!

IrelandWe stayed in Dublin spontaneously for the Rugby match and found that B&B last minute. The location was very handy, a couple of minutes from Croke Park, but very quiet and really nice. The hosts very absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was small, but beautiful, absolutely comfortable and with a private bathroom. We would stay there anytime again!

GermanyBreakfast could be serve a bit better. To put cereals directly from big plastic bag to my small plate was not very comfortable. Like I said location is not very in the center, so I used taxi.
The hotel is located a bit far from center, but its around 30 min by foot. The host is very nice woman, she try to help and can provide hints depends what you wanna see in the City. The room was big and nice, bed was big and comfortable. The adapter for my phone was also provided, it is useful. Internet worked, continental breakfast was fine.

United KingdomNothing, I can’t recommend this B&B highly enough.
I booked this B&B at the last moment to add a few days in Dublin following a work trip to Limerick. I didn’t have any particular expectations but I was delighted with my stay. The hosts were very friendly and offered advice on things to see on arrival, something I hadn’t researched myself. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet - I slept better than I do at home. The location was perfect - close to Glasnevin Cemetery and the Botanic Gardens and it took me less than half an hour to walk into the city centre. For those not keen on the walk, there are excellent bus connections to Dublin Airport and the city centre, which are much cheaper than taxis or driving. One tip, buy a Leap card, which you can load with credit to use on public transport throughout Ireland - it’s much easier than having to have the right cash fare ready. I don’t usually eat breakfast but I did on this trip and it was excellent. I had the full Irish breakfast (similar to a full English) and it filled me up for the whole day. I spent my days exploring Dublin city centre and had my evening meal at a local pub. There are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance and if you want a takeaway (again, many choices) you can, just eat it downstairs, not in your room. I have never written a review for somewhere I’ve stayed before but on this occasion I felt I had to because I was so pleased with my stay and thankful for an alternative to the overpriced hotels closer to the city centre. I got home last night and I’m already wishing I could go back! Lovely hosts, lovely room, delicious breakfast, great location - if you can get a booking at this Bed & Breakfast, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

AustraliaIf you're a smoker, then it could be the right place to stay for you. The first thing that hit me was the smell of smoke when I first walked in. There was a wall socket coming away from the wall which I forgot to mention to owners.
