Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThis is the perfect place to stay if you want to be within driving distance of the coast, but prefer a quiet location. The area around is beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. There is a lovely pub next door where I watched a couple of rugby games when Ireland was playing. They also had a night of dancing. It was amazing watching young and old having so much fun.

GermanyIf you drive there coming from east to west you have to go through a pretty narrow street which is not fun at night and while still getting used to driving on the left. I would recommend going around and approaching the house from west.
It was clean and really comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need.

ItalyThe position is quite uncomfortable, as there is nothing else but the Hostel in the surrounding, just a small shop and a pub, run by the same people - beware that the pub doesn't provide food and shop closes around 9, so you have to bring something by yourself for the dinner. So, the place is perfect if you want to fully relax, with no distractions or noise!
Our room was very clean and cozy, bathroom was small but functional. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary to prepare your own meals. The view was fantastic.

United KingdomWe didn't actually see any staff which wasn't a problem for us. The facility and practice of food labelling could have been better/clearer as we ended up using someone else's milk (replacing it the next day).
Hostel itself was well equipped with beautiful views and and comfortable.lounge and kitchen. We liked the fact that this was a community enterprise. The cakes were a nice touch. The pub and shop next door are a real bonus and the lady that runs them was an absolute star letting us into the pub 10 minutes early for a Guinness. Great location to break on the Kerry Way. Private room with en suite bathroom was comfortable.

DenmarkMaybe a few more hangers could be added to the walls or doors for towels. It was a bit challenging to find room for 4 wet towels to dry.
We really liked the location in the middle of the Kerry countryside right next to a pub and a small shop. Our room was comfortable and clean in general (maybe certain parts of the bathroom could use a little more attention e.g. roof window was somewhat dated). The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed some good conversations with them. It was great that we could make our own food in the kitchen. We also really liked the price of the accommodation as it isn't easy to find something this affordable for a family of 4. It is certainly not a luxury place, but if you need a clean room with own bathroom to stay for a few days I can fully recommend it.

United StatesIt's remote, but that wasn't terrible. Just a 10 mile drive for food. The little store has food as well that you can cook/heat up. Overall, really enjoyed our stay. Wish we could have seen the stars, but going in June, it was bright pretty late. Nice visit.
Wonderful remote hostel. Large and welcoming. Lovely shared spaces. Loved the family suites with their own bathroom. Loved the views. Enjoyed the little shop and pub just a stone's throw. We were lucky enough to be there on a Sunday and enjoyed live music.
