Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomQuite disappointed in the Alex, the junior suite booked was on the first floor with windows facing into a back alley with noise leaking into the room in the morning. The living room side of the suite had no windows and resembled a sober dentist waiting room. Although the living room side had connective TV, the bedroom did not, offering only terrestrial TV with no streaming or connection options for Apple. Coffee machine wasn’t working. Suite bathroom was very small, resembling a single room bathroom, no bath.etc. Main door opened immediately onto the bed making to awkward to open the door if someone else was in the bed. Corridor noise through a period of the night keep us awake. Random ringing sounds from the phone also through the night. Various electrical pieces on the ceiling over the bed flashing through the night. Altogether a disappointing experience for a recommended property.
Pleasent staff

IrelandIt’s a good hotel if you’re the only guest; however, I would never bring my family. The bathroom doors have transparent glass. I don’t know why hotels think that watching your partner having a sh*t is something cool. This trend needs to stop.

United KingdomIt’s very basic, decor is nice but it’s missing any nice touches that you would expect for the price. No bathrobe, slippers or mini bar in the room. No bath in the room. No spa facilities. Checkin is 4pm and check out is 11am which I think it’s a bit ridiculous.
Good location

PolandBar area not worthy of a 4 star hotel. It closed at 22hrs and had just a couple of tables that could be used. You could hear everything in neighboring rooms, tv, hairdryer, talking as walls not soundproof at all. Small beds. Breakfast basic and same each day.
Nice location, retro-ish design.

IrelandOn check in we were told that breakfast was served up until 11am. We were impressed that breakfast was served to this time and paid on check-in. The next morning we went down at 1030 and were told breakfast was finished. We explained we were told 11am. The same receptionionest was on that morning that told us. We did have the breakfast but it was rushed and just totally ruined the experience. The staff were not impressed and verged on being rude to us. Very disappointing
I have stayed here before had a fabulous experience, its location and vibe is really nice.

IrelandUnfriendly bar staff, I got the worst pint of Guinness I have ever had in Dublin. It was not cooled properly and served in a warm glass. Surely you could get this right. I did not feel it was worth bringing it to the attent6ion of the hostess and when I ordered a Gin, and left the un drinkable half pint to the side of the table, she ignored it as I anticipated she would.
Great reception. Excellent communication and help. We had some issue with the car park but had it sorted by a very helpful guy from Galway (I cant remember his name)

SwitzerlandWhen asking about parking on a Sunday, staff referred us to the hotel’s expensive private car park and failed to mention that street parking - even closer than the hotel - is free until Monday morning. When pointed out to the lady at reception, the response was very much “and what?”

United States- all plates / cups / dishes were extremely dirty each day at breakfast, or when ordering room service - it was like they didn't have a dish washing machine. the food at breakfast was extremely disappointing and not the healthiest - we could tell some of the items were not fresh and came from a can. - room was very stuffy / hot, even when turning the AC on - sheets and towels weren't changed multiple times / rooms were improperly cleaned, despite our five day stay - they gave one of our group a drinks voucher when we pointed this out to them, but still - bit problematic given the price point and quality we are paying for - the hangers on the hooks in the room were extremely annoying / difficult to move around - the duvet cover was too warm / overheated and there was no bedsheet under it, for another option - on the whole, value for money was low on The Alex and they haven't really gotten the basic equation right
- check in was seamless - centrally located - many staff members were kind / helpful

SingaporeI think they should ask you upfront at desk whether you would like housekeeping to clean your room everyday. I noticed that housekeeping made the bed, replaced the towels but didnt do much else. They did not clean the bathroom at all.

IrelandParking was a nuisance, no handtowels, dressing gowns, slippers, milk & water in the room until I called down and housekeeping provided (face cloths would have been nice for a 4* but didnt see any, some hotels don't provide so that's fine) i brought one anyway and when housekeeping came on second day the face cloth was taken..I didn't bother mentioning it to the hotel. Food was left in our fridge upon arrival (taken out when I mentioned it) Bathroom door has a large glass panel and is located within view of bed so depends on if this is something that would bother you (we were not fans) Very tight to walk around bed to other side of it. We were in an executive suite so sitting room very large, bedroom tight for space, bathroom great size. No where to hang shower towel so it was the floor or toilet. Adjoining door to room next door so we could hear everything. Coffee maker worked once out of the 6 times I tried it (I didn't bother calling reception as we went out for coffee)
Front desk staff were friendly, room (other than fridge) was clean. Access to executive lounge where we could have drinks and snacks was a bonus (10am-8pm) Location central

United KingdomWasn’t as good as the last time we stayed. One of the reasons we rebooked was for the extra large bed (were told last time that this is the same in every room). This time it was 2 beds pushed together. One staff member I found to be a bit rude although this was just a one-off as the rest of the staff were all superb.

United KingdomStaff was not great. We could not check when we arrived (2pm approxiamtely) in because check in time is 4pm! we were told at reception we would get a call as soon as the room would be ready and no one ever called us. Coffee machine didn't work in our room, I had to wairt to get the manager to approve me getting a FOC coffee when she clearly had other things to do. And the shower is tiny! We had a suite (Room 200) which had a very big bathroom but a smaller than average shower. So if you love a nice shower you won't get value for you money here.
The suite was very roamy and the bed was super confortable
