Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel was clean and comfortable the beds was comfortable. Ava at reception was excellent. We were given a tour of the spa gym and swimming pool by other members of staff in there areas. All the staff were friendly and obliging. We traveled with family members from County Tyrone and because Ava and other staff members were so good and helpful and hotel was so welcoming and beautiful and clean we will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant and relaxing.

Standard hotel room. Dining options on site. Great pool and gym also on site. Undercover parking means morning departure easy ... no need to scrape ice in winter !

I found everything was to my satisfaction.
Lovely clean room. Staff were very polite and extremely helpful. Dinner was very nice .I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that . I would reccomend the Shear water to anyone

I didn't like being charged / held a €800 credit card fee for 3 rooms at the start of my stay. I understanding holding my credit card for charges but €800 was excessive The breakfast service was very poor. We waited at the entry but no-one came. We decided to take a table and was later told it was reserved (but no marking) The hotel wanted to charge extra for a flat-white! There was no-one at the hot plate and some of the food was over-cooked and hard. There was no fresh orange juice and poor service for breakfast The rooms although clean need a re-vamp (wardrobe and bathroom door dark) I didn't like the fact check-on was 4 p.m. although we were facilitated with an earlier room
The welcome from the reception team was excellent and the reception area is spacious and clean I enjoyed the food in the bar. We had a 3 course meal that was full value for money at a set price of €35 per person. The bar staff were friendly and helpful The gym team were welcoming and the pool and changing room facilities were spotlessly clean The bedroom was spotless and bed very comfortable

Breakfast was a bit of a mess. There were plenty of staff but they were standing around whilst there were plenty of dirty of tables. My husband asked twice for a pot of tea and it never arrived. The food was fine but not great

Room was spotless, bed was very comfortable. No noise from outside. We arrived early but we were allowed to use the swimming facilities before check-in which was very much appreciated when travelling with children. Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent.

Pool very rowdy with children, jumping in and splashing everyone and running around poolside, despite signs prohibiting this. No hotel staff around pool area to keep check on this.
Big pool, rooms were spacious and clean, nicely decorated.

Breakfast was disappointing, our plates were never cleared despite not sitting not being particularly busy. The hot food items were not topped up. No teaspoons with cups on table. Not fantastic value for money.
Family room was lovely, 2 separate rooms which was really handy. Pool was nice and lots of space. Location next to Lidl very handy for any forgotten items. Plenty of parking.
