Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The staff was kind and the room tidy. However, the pressure in the shower was nearly not existing, and although the name of the place is a B&B, you'll get a bed but no breakfast. Nevertheless, it's a good place to stay in Killarney as it's right in the centre.

The room was cold as I've read in other reviews but the extra blankets and the electric one helped keep it warm.
Extremely central location. Room was clean. Nice staff and pub below to enjoy a pint. Room spacious for 2 people. Bathroom was a decent size. Electric blanket and additional blankets in case it was too cold. Overall, it was good value for money.

Can be quite noisy and the room itself was cold. There was an electric blanket but no where to plug it into
Centrally located in the heart of Killarney above a pub. Bed was somewhat comfortable and check in was straight forward

Noise very early..beer kegs etc. Drilling during the day due to maintenance I presume.
Location was great. The buzz of the town was nice to hear. Atmosphere was good and it was reasonable in price.

Noisy stairs. Hallway floors, soft and mushy.
Exceptional location! Wouldn't book with.children, but for a few nights in town it was just great. We didn't have to drive anywhere as everything was within walking distance.

No tea making facility Furniture could fo with updating.
Excellent location.l for facilities. Beds comfy, and clean. Furniture bit dated. No real interaction with staff, pick up key leave key when you leave. Great place for young ones looking for a weekend break.

Noise outside was quite loud in the morning with loading and unloading of beer kegs.
Very close to the town centre and perfectly adequate for a decent price when compared to other properties in the town at that time of year (summer)

No breakfast option, a bit strange for a bed and breakfast. Might want to think about renaming that place ;)

A challenge to park and drop off bags, and then you have to find parking, if driving. 1 key per room, we were multiple occupants. We may have just been very unlucky, but at ca. 0615/06.30 there was a long and loud delivery/collection of beer barrels for the pub..
Location right in the center of town. Good spot with eating places near by.

Sound insulation in the rooms is not the best and, while it gives a lovely feel, some areas of the rooms and the common parts are a bit old and might need some adjustments or replacement. The check-in experience is also a bit confusing, since you have to go inside the pub and try to get the bartender's attention away from serving beers.
A nice traditional place to crash in for a couple of days. The place is old in a nice way, since it's gives both the rooms and the pub a traditional and lively atmosphere. That said, do not expect a 5-start hotel experience: simple rooms, with a simple bathroom. The location is also very nice, in the center of the town allowing for easy access on foot to most amenities. Nearby is also located a convenient public parking, which is free during the night.

No hot water for a shower. They could loose the bedspreads, which were shabby to say the least. Advertised as a B&B but no breakfast provided. Struggled to get up the stairs with suitcases.

No elevator to take bags up 3 floors.
Location good. Very cute Not open for breakfast. Not prepared with huge suitcase therefore annoyed with hauling suitcase up so many stairs. No facecloths.
