Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MaltaGreat location for nightlife and sightseeing—everything you need is nearby! From top to bottom, the staff is friendly and always ready to assist with anything you need. The place is clean, check-in is easy, and there's a convenient laundry service that works smoothly with the app. I had a private room, but as a hostel, I would rate it a 10 out of 10!

SpainThe dorm room was dirty and there was no cleaning services during 5 days. We had to ask to be cleaned twice. The hallway was also dirty and never vacuumed.

United KingdomWasn’t many toilets and showers considering how many people were on the floors but luckily we didn’t have any issues with having to wait for long.
The social area was a great space, with staff being super friendly. The rooms were nice, lockers were a good size and beds were comfortable. Was an ideal location, was super close to the Temple Bar District.

FranceEasily on the Top3 of the WORST hostels I stayed in. I thaught hygene was common decency when staying in a shared room but apparently not. On top of that, the bathrooms are disgusting, even when cleaned 2 times a day (which tells a lot on the people whom use them). Staff kindness is mixed, some of them are great, other really not. Would definitly not recommand or come back.

United KingdomAmazing location, right in the centre a walk away from everywhere and the tram (luas) to the station right in front the hostel. We were lucky to be on the 10th floor that offered a beautiful view. Friendly staff. Essential but has everything you need.

BrazilYou have to rent towels, but no big deal
Amazing hostel, very clean, organized and quiet. The bed had curtains that allowed you privacy and the in room lockers were big enough to fit a carry on suitcase and a backpack. The beds were really spacious, comfortable and had a night light and an outlet on it. Is very well located, as well.

LatviaFirstly, check-in is strictly at 15:00 and not a minute earlier, you can do it an hour or two earlier, but for an additional fee. And check-out is until 10:00. Well, a towel, of course, costs money. But what outraged me most was that there are no locks for the drawer to safely store your things. You can buy one from them directly for 7.5 euros. Why don't you indicate such details when booking? That is, in addition to the 56 euros that I paid for one night with 8 people in a room, you also need to pay an extra 7.50 euros! I understand perfectly well that the hostel management decided that they could earn extra money on this too. This is the same as providing a bed, but you have to buy the mattress yourself. But I was also shocked that the bed linen was simply folded on your bed. That is, you will have to take care of your bed yourself. Aren't you ashamed? Let's say a person arrived from abroad, late at night, very tired, and just wants to go to bed! But he needs to turn on the light, wake everyone up and make his bed. Do you think this is normal? Check-out is until 10:00, check-in is at 15:00. Tell me please, why can't the cleaning ladies make the beds in 5 hours? It's like being in prison. Plus the mattresses are just awful, the worst cheap ones there are. Absolutely identical to the hostels for the homeless. The windows overlook a busy street - where you can hear everything and the noise of a tram every three minutes. The beds are very close to the toilet, you can just reach it with your hand. You sleep and listen and smell the pleasant aromas under your nose. And when I approached the girl at the reception and simply explained that it is not nice to take extra money from clients for locks, she made such a displeased face, as if I stole something from her. I have been living in Ireland, in Dublin for more than 15 years, and I understand perfectly well that there is a housing crisis now, but 56 euros per night in an 8-bed room plus 7.
