Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandIf your room is on a lower floor and the windows are facing the street, it might be quite noisy as the street outside is very busy with a tram running through it.
Well-kept and clean hostel with very helpful staff. We had an ensuite private room with nice views on the 5th floor. The room was spacious enough for a one night stay and the bathroom was clean with great water pressure in the shower. Option to have breakfast onsite and the hostel had lockers (for a small cost) to store our luggage after check-out. Great location with many lovely restaurants and cafés and a walking distance to most of the tourist spots.

AustraliaThe power points at the beds did not work (I think a consistent issue) so you had to get a portable charger that didn’t work or use one of the two points in the wall (shared between 12 people). If you book a mixed room, most of the people will be men. The beds were not comfortable and very hard to make.
The interior of the building was modern. Staff were nice and bathrooms were fairly clean. The location is the best part about it, really close to everything!

AustraliaNothing really. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm which was tight for space however the design of the room, with hooks and storage areas compensates. The bathroom and shower felt practically brand new.
Great location. Friendly staff. Great facilities. Good breakfast. Friendly, relaxed vibe.

United KingdomThere was an issue with the bunk light and power point, so unfortunately had to use one of the two only power outlets to charge phone, also issue with one of the lockers, which i did notify the staff about but nothing seemed to be done about it.
Staff where friendly and bed was comfortable, location is great as its not far off from major parts of Dublin. Also shower and toilet in room so dont have to go out of room to use facilities.

United KingdomI wasn't able to charge my phone using the wall socket over my bed.
I loved the modern quirky decor, and spacious feel to the reception/bar area, and the dining area. Having a curtain at the side of the bed, also plenty of hooks to hang items in the 4 bedded dorm and large designated cupboard space was excellent. Having the bathroom in the room was very welcomeCity centre location was a huge plus. I'll deffo be back! Thank you!

United StatesWay too expensive for what it is. We unknowingly went to Dublin the same weekend as Pride and Taylor Swift and paid out the nose to stay in this austere hostel room. Almost 600$ for a tiny private room.
Good location

United KingdomPossibly down to the busyness of the hostel but when I reported an issue with my bunk (I.e no privacy curtain), it was logged but not rectified). Didn’t cause too much of an issue as I didn’t spend much time in my bed, but still worth noting
Convenient location, friendly staff. Excellent transport links and access to shopping, restaurants and recreation (bars/museums)

Greece- The night light and power outlets in the beds were not working. So we couldn't have light in our beds at night, and if we wanted to charge our phones, we had to share the 2 outlets in the room (shared between 6 people) or ask for a powerbank from reception. Judging by earlier reviews here, it looks like the issue with power not working in beds has been going on for a couple of months now, so I imagined it would have been fixed during this time, but apparently it wasn't. - It seemed strange to me how we had to make our own beds. There were clean bed linen folded on the bed upon checkin, but we had to put them on the bed ourselves.
- Very clean, new and comfortable - The beds had curtains for privacy - Lockers in the room for luggage (bring your own padlock!) - Separate toilet and shower rooms in the room, so you didn't have to wait until one was free to use the other. Each of them also had a sink. - The hostel is really nice, with social events, including movie nights (although I didn't have time to attend any) - Staff was polite and responsive - Easy check-out - Great, very central location, right next to O'Connell Street and a 5' walk to Temple Bar - Luggage storage available for after checking out

United StatesThe laundry is 12 euro...surely this could be subsidized? Not enough luggage storage. Minor complaints: more hooks, places to hang things in the shower, curtains in the bedrooms could be repaired / replaced. Generally a very good experience.
Location is fantastic, really close to many of Dublin's attractions, the River Liffey, and plenty of pubs and restaurants. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Poured me a pint, gave me some suggestions for a night out, and checked me in efficiently. Considering the number of people that come in and out, they killed it. Expect a queue to check in from 3-4 or so. That being said, there are lots of space to spread those people out if you want a corner to read or work.
