Good option to be close to the city center for an affordable price.

Although it's located in a very calm neighbourhood, there are a lot of constructions going on on the other side of the street so if you're a light sleeper this can be a challenge, even though this is not the residence's fault. The room wasn't very cleaned when we arrived - the desk and shelves were dusty and the floor had not been vaccumed. The drain in the shower was also blocked after two uses and the automatic light turned off while we were in the shower. We had to pay 5€/person for luggage deposit, which seems a bit expensive, since most places will not charge you for this service.

A modern student residence, that welcomes turists in the summer, close enough to the historical center that you can easily walk to every major atraction. They do their own disclaimer but let me say this louder for the people in the back: this is a student residence and not a hotel, so don't expect the same amenities. The rooms are very small, as it was expected, and the bed is definetely a large single bed and not a double one, but me and my partner slept just fine. Overall is great for short stays: comfortable, modern, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. It also comes in handy to have a Tesco Express nearby.

Housekeeping walked into our room before check out twice without knocking. Another time it happened, a man walked in after only a quick knock. The first time was our first stay a few minutes before check out. The second and third times occurred during our second stay when we had paid for extended check out. I'm not sure if the message was lost between the front desk and house keeping that we had extended but it should be standard to knock, pause and knock again as you slowly open the door announcing yourself. In the second instance, I was in a towel so it could've been disastrous for myself and the worker 😅 Outside of this, it was a lovely stay.

We loved the shared facilities (we even made it to the gym). Rooms were modern and clean, including the kitchen areas. We had two separate stays during our Ireland trip and we were upgraded to a larger room on the second stay. Loved the free goodies (coffee, ear plugs, shampoo) at reception too. We appreciated being able to purchase extended check out for a small fee.

Beds are a little tight for two people (this is clearly stated on their listing), and there is no air conditioning… You can check out a fan from the front desk, which I highly recommend you do if you are someone who doesn’t handle heat well.

Property is close to bus lines and within walking distance of many attractions in the city. Concept is a pod of rooms and a shared communal kitchen/lounge area. Additionally, there is a large community lounge in the main building. There’s also an on-site, laundry, so very convenient. Upon check-in, I had some concerns about our rooms proximity to ongoing construction, and management quickly moved us to another room. Property is very secure and offers a good value.

Room was really warm due to the time of year also due to the location of the room when the window was open you could regularly hear cars and horse carts going past at night.

I liked the overall area, close to local high street, close to nearby attractions and good transport links.

Light in the bathroom without a window lit by a motion sensor. When you don't move, it gets quite dark. The sensor did not include the shower, so while washing it would get dark, you had to open the shower door and wave your hands to get the light on. You could hurt yourself in total darkness, and there wasn't even the slightest emergency light. The modules have shared self-service kitchens for students during the school year, meanwhile, the offer was written as “no access to the kitchen” and the entrance to the kitchen was covered with a poster, which other guests tore down anyway, to use this kitchen probably illegally (?) - strange rules.

Good value for money. The friendly attitude of the reception staff. We got towels and small washing liquids as standard (but you have to ask).

Only issue would be the construction site directly across from the building which was very loud but that's not in the control of the accommodation. It also felt a bit out of the way of bars and restaurants which generally we wouldn't mind but with it being an unfamiliar city, and walking at night as two young women it maybe wasn't ideal; so we just spent a bit more on Ubers. Also, we heard commotion outside late at night and my friend saw masked men jumping into a vehicle with no licence plate, so that was a bit unsettling, but realistically no city is 100% safe and we felt safe in the building with all the key cards you have to use to get to any part of the building.

Staff were really friendly and had us checked in and out really quickly. The overall look of the place was great, very modern. Also handy that there was a Tesco Express nearby.

Extremely good choice for a Dublin stay

These aren't major issues, just small points. There was no bin in the bedroom and the light in the bathroom kept going out, which required an amount of arm flapping over the shower stall door! I'm environmentally minded (took my rubbish away) but could see others leaving their waste lying around for staff to clean up as a result of the former, or guests stumbling around in the bathroom because of the latter. Also, extremely unusual for me to say but the bed/pillow wasn't that comfortable and my sleep both nights there was a bit broken. Finally, baggage storage was a bit pricey. Usually hostels/student accommodation will (like hotels or guesthouses), store these free as a matter of goodwill. None of the above are deal breakers though - just things to note in advance so you're in the right mindset on arrival - and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The room is what you would expect for student accommodation. As a result of it being a recent build, things seemed accessible for those with mobility issues and everything was new and clean. Staff were excellent on any occasion I dealt with the front desk. I'd hoped for a quiet room and they did their best to find me one. In any event, there seemed to be good sound insulation generally. The room was also extremely good value for money, particularly given the current extortionate cost of accommodation in Dublin. There aren't facilities for tea/coffee making in the room itself but these can be had in the common area. Had I been staying longer, there were other communal facilities to explore such as a gym and cinema. The location is decent. It's not the very best for me given the areas I usually visit are a 25-30 minute walk away, but for any tourists staying here, Ardee Point is near some very sweet residential areas of old Dublin that are nice to walk around, and it's a good base for anyone attending a concert at Vicar Street or the occasional ones at Christchurch or St Patrick's Cathedral. I would definitely stay here again.

A great student residence that opens its doors to tourists. Very close to city center and to the bus station, just in front of Teeling distillery. The residence is optimal for short-medium stays: very clean, modern and well equipped, and lovely staff.

The shower drain seemed to be blocked so I had to turn the shower off a couple of times when washing my hair to make sure it didn't overflow.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable and the room was bright and as spacious as one could realistically expect. I ended up being upgraded for free to a room with kitchen access which was a great bonus! The kitchen was clean and so was the room. Location was perfect for me as I was really using this as a base for an early flight, easy to walk to the bus stop for the airport express.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Destiny Student - Ardee Point. The location of the accomodation was great - very close to the city center while not being hectic or loud at all. Also, the staff was very friendly and polite. The rooms were small, but clean. The only aspect that did not really meet our expectations was the bed itself - for two people it was rather small (probably around 120-130 cm), which could certainly be an issue for taller people.
