Gerry and Mary were so kind and welcoming. The space was comfortable and well appointed, yet had history and character. I appreciated Gerry’s explanations of how names of local places had been Anglicized from the Gaelic. The breakfasts were fantastic! It’s a great base for exploring County Clare.

Talk about The Host and Hostess with The Mostess - they certainly welcomed and looked after us at Knockaderry House! The House is circa 1835 (obviously modernised!) and so well-landscaped that it feels miles from anywhere. While the House is a short 15 min drive (not walk) from downtown Ennis, the distance is not enough to dissuade from returning to see the Ennis sights. While there, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the historic and lovely Old Ground Hotel. Our visiting The Poets Corner pub/restaurant was at the suggestion of our Knockaderry host, and it was a spot-on idea!

Breakfast was gorgeous however we would’ve liked the option of having something other than continental, for example an Irish breakfast fry.

Gerry was a great host and made sure we had every thing we needed. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable. A wonderful stay all round !

The whole experience was great, continental breakfast was lovely, with fresh fruit.. but the coffee pots were too big for 1 person.. it seemed a waste to leave half a pot behind.

Beautiful setting, quiet location close to the town centre, 5mins drive. Friendly hosts and good facilities.

Lovely b&b just outside Ennis. Owners very friendly and lovely attention to detail and nice thoughtful extras. Delicious continental breakfast in the morning. Owners even offered us lift into Ennis

Everything about the accomodation was wonderful, it is a beautiful home to stay in...owners are just fabulous and very friendly. Would totally recommend this place to stay.

I arrived around 5PM, very tired and hungry. Jerry and Mary were very understanding, Jerry helping with my heavy bag and Mary gave me a lift to a nice restaurant just down the street. My room was very comfortable in their beautiful home. I certainly recommend a stay with them. Thank-you, Jerry and Mary😁💚

The breakfast was excellent, everything was fresh, scones, various berries and good selection of cereals, fresh coffee, tea and fruit juice. Gerry was the perfect host and went out of his way to offer help whenever he could.

Breakfast had lots of bread & cereal which I eat very little of and finished at 9.30am which was too early for me. A little bit far out of town, but still walkable.

Gerry and Anne are lovely, very helpful & accommodating. The house has great character & is really comfortable.

No tv in room

Location lovely and quiet but quite tucked away and hard to find initially.Room lovely,spotlessly clean,comfortable beds.Not sure that a glass table with crystal on a tiled floor is the best idea in the bathroom.Breakfast nice,bread delicious,maybe toast or access to a toaster could be an idea? Would have preferred a TV in bedroom,but all in all a lovely stay.

Host was not there until last morning, didn’t seem very friendly. The lady covering for him was very nice, but didn’t respond to our text regarding check in. Couldn’t cancel booking ever, unlike other B&B bookings. Ennis was a disappointment

Staying there was a happy accident. We have no complaints. Happy we found Knockaderry house.

The continental breakfast was just right. Fresh fruit, scones, yogurt, coffee, tea, plus. It was beautifully presented with vintage tableware and Gerry was attentive.
