Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Irelandnothing I wouldn't like.
Fairytale place, the closer you are to the true Irish North (Sligo is next to Donegal), the more exciting your feelings become. The rabbit is great.

CanadaThe downside was the screaming child in the rooms above us who didn't stop screaming and whining until 11pm. We were hoping to use the hot tub but is far down the back of the property on a gravel lane.
Easy walking distance to watch surfers, climb a castle, and walk along the water. We had meat, cheese, bread, cereal, and yogurt for breakfast with our coffee The shared washroom is very tiny, so if you are a larger person, you might find it uncomfortable

United StatesThis was not the proprietor's fault, but the guests in the room above us were very loud, in particular, there were children who were running and jumping, even at one point -- around 2 am, must have gotten tired and started squealing loudly and crying. I only add this to the review in hopes that anyone who travels with children will take note and remember to be considerate of the guests below, should they happen to be occupying an upper level apartment or room.
It was quaint and quirky. The location was excellent. The pet bunny in the courtyard was a nice touch. There was a nice river walk to the beach that was easily accessed from the hostel. There were two nice donkeys along the trail that loved our pets and neck scratches. Breakfast was brought in during the wee hours of the morning and it was perfect.

United KingdomLovely little hostel, real chill stay in a small village along the wild Atlantic way. Had a great bbq area, completely covered so despite the unrelenting rain we could still have a fun bbq night. Host was super easy to contact.

IrelandA little cold. But that is how Irish properties are. I was raised in very warm, dry facilities, so I struggle to take the environment of irish housing even after 20 years of residence.
I really liked my stay. There is a rabbit who lives outside in the inner garden. Was so cute.

IrelandIt's a very quaint old house with nice character. The owners are very friendly and very helpful. It was such good value and the continental breakfast laid out for us the next morning was just lovely. It is obviously a hostel but the private double bed room was great for a couple. They covered outdoor space was a really nice spot to sit and drink your coffee. There is a low beam in the room that is at an angle which you must watch out for but the owners have a fine sign highlighting it so we where very aware of it. Really enjoyed our short stay here!😊

IrelandWas abit farther out form Sligo that I had thought at booking. I checked the address closer to landing down and planned accordingly. There was a frequent bus route right outside the hostel and along with the student leap card this was easily overcome. Also found it abit awkward to charge my phone as the only ports where at the end of the room meaning anyone could access my phone if it was left unattended to charge.
Facilities and rooms were lovely and very clean. Was my frist time staying in a hostel and I would defiantly go back. The local village is shrouded with amazing scenery. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful. Each bed had privacy curtains around it which made the whole experience much better.

Quirky hostel style with comfortable double room. Shared kitchen with great chats with other guests who were passing through. Nice enclosed outdoor space with hammock. Resident bunny rabbit to keep us company! Facilities were good with nice touches. Nice wee town with a great walk and local pottery and posh food shop. Parking was safe.
