Shower pressure very low. Would have liked a light beside the bed. Bathroom radiator needs painting and a proper loo roll holder.

The microwave in the shared kitchen is rusty and dirty. Given its condition, it should be replaced. The top floor can be a bit of a climb. We were fine with it.

Location near the city center. Clean room with comfortable beds. Street parking is convenient. You might not find a spot directly in front, but parking is usually available on the side streets within a short distance.

Others staying at the property not conscious of others, banging door late at night. Bed, while functional, was not overly comfortable.

Good location close to Cork city centre, great and easy instructions to enter the property and small tea/coffee making facility with biscuits was a small, but appreciated touch.

The kettle in our room was awkward to plug in under the table after filling. A cordless kettle would have been ideal.

We loved that it was so close to bus and train stations. Very central location with shops nearby. We loved how clean everything was, and quiet. It was good that the bathroom was only shared with one other room.

Not a problem with the accommodation as such, but there was a late night disco type bar opposite, which meant you had to sleep with the windows closed to reduce the noise The room door had an 8 digit code for access, but the passage light was movement sensitive, so it would cut out as you were typing the code, which meant I had start again from scratch. This only occurred when entering the 1st time.

Shared bathroom with other rooms

Room was tidy and shared kitchen space was the same, landlord was very helpful and polite when I had issues with accessing the code to the main door. Would recommend to anyone staying in the city centre and looking for an affordable and convenient place to stay.

Minor problems: the water pressure in the shower was poor, possibly because I was in the top floor room. I found it tricky to enter the code number to get into my room as the light on the landing was on a timer switch and was switching off before I had finished. This probably wouldn't be an issue if there were more than one person there.

Location is very good for visiting the city centre and especially the opera house. There was a good supply of tea and coffee in the room and even biscuits. The bed was very comfortable.

The sound isolation is awful and I could hear conversations, people coming and going. I imagine they could hear the same from me when I was on the phone and so on. This aspect makes the stay feel less private and restful. This was especially true for me because I was spending more time indoors, since I was preparing for an interview.

The soundproofing is very poor, you can hear absolutely everything from the neighboring rooms, from the side and from above

The hallway was a little smelly. The host was hard to get ahold of. There was someone else staying there that did laundry the whole time so we couldn't do any. The walls are a little thin so we could hear the other tenants very easily.
