Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDirk and Giny were fantastic hosts. We loved our stay in their homely B&B. The location is outstanding if you're looking for peace and quiet in the Donegal countryside. The fresh eggs from their hens in the morning were superb, as was Ginny’s granola. They were always on hand to give us great information and recommendations for everywhere we wanted to go and everything we wanted to do. It really couldn't have been better, and we’ll definitely stay there again.

The homemade continental breakfast was a highlight; the greek yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, eggs from their chickens outside, delicious meats, cheeses, breads, and to top it off the presentation was wonderful.

United KingdomBeautiful house. Stunning views. Comfortable beds and clean house / room. Gppd pressure in shower. Breakfast very nice. Great coffee. Give u a bags to make a lunch from breakfast which is handy. Location is perfect. If you want to go out the restaurants / pub are a ten min drive away and if you want to have a drink at the pub there is a local taxi which will charge you roughly 12 euros which i think is very good for a remote location. Giny and Dirk very good hosts, polite friendly , and are great to have a chat with if like to be social of not they just leave you in peace to get on with your stay.

Breakfast is contential absolutely beautiful just enough to start the day homemade jams were gorgeous. and the fresh eggs each morning from the hens in the garden. So if you are looking for a compleat switch off and recharge this is the place for you. Tea and coffee station in the guest lounge books to read and if ye fancy a game of cards all provided. There is a TV in the guest lounge but we didn't even watch it. The house is beautifully decorated. The nearest shop is 15 mins away by car and An Chuirt hotel 6 mins. We loved our stay and so glad of the peace and quiet to take in the beautiful surroundings. Dirk and Giny are also also have a craft room were Giny crochets her stuff it is just amazing i loved seeing her creations 🧶🧶🧶 Dirk brews his own beer although I didn't get a chance to taste it ,,( tea total ) I'm sure it's wonderful. United StatesStaying at this cozy home in the peaceful Irish countryside was amazing. The view of Mount Errigal is stunning and adds to the relaxed vibe. Giny and Dirk, our hosts, were fantastic. They were so welcoming, and we loved spending our evenings chatting with them. The rooms were super clean, and the en suite bathroom was new and very comfortable. Breakfast was a real treat with fresh eggs from their own chickens, homemade granola, and delicious fruits. We had such a great time and couldn't recommend it more. You won't be disappointed!

GermanyVery nice BnB with a stunning view on Mt Errigal. The rooms are very clean and everything is furnished very nicely. The garden is big with picnic tables and free floating chickens. A private parking spot is available in front of the house. The BnB is very nice equipped with a fridge, Coffee & Tea making equipment, cutlery and cookies. All situated in the separate living room for guests. The breakfast is very good and the Coffee is nice and strong. The hosts are very friendly and provide very helpful tips on things to visit or do. We are hoping to come back to this BnB at some point in time.

GermanyThere’s really nothing we can complain about! Not even the weather - it was lovely sunny almost the entire time of our stay.
The B&B of Giny and Dirk was absolutely beautifully arranged: tasteful interior, the beds were suuuper comfy - also for my mum being very dependent on good mattresses, everything was super tidy and clean, the breakfasts every morning were such a great start in the day: a huge variety, always plenty, lots of love in every detail. It was great to pack lunch from the leftovers. Also the location of the property was perfect: very calm (only you, the mountains and the wind), however very close to everything you need (beaches, mountains, petrol station, pubs, supermarket…). The sunrise and mountain panorama from the bed (!) was a huge gift to us. And last but not least, a very big and warm THANK YOU to our caring, welcoming, helpful and humorous hosts Giny and Dirk (and Pippin of course) who really spoiled us during our 1-week stay. We couldn’t be any happier, really, and would definitely come back any time being back in Donegal.
