Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

Breakfast was horrible, the staff at breakfast were not friendly, felt like they had an attitude with every customer who walked in

We were told on arrival that the bar and restaurant were being upgraded and there was limited dining facilities. Out room was way too hot and we could not adjust the temperature. Also the bed wasn’t great.
The gym facilities . Staff friendly. Location is excellent great views.

Hotel is very dated lots of areas of the building need painting decorating. Hairs in the bed draughts in the windows. No entertainment by night felt more like a retirement home that a 4 star hotel.

Nothin rooms gorgeous big roomy warm and plenty of fresh linen and towels and amazing attentive staff. So fantastic!
Everything was amazing from entering with a beautiful log fire in front of us at reception, a grand piano in the afternoon tea area, great leisure facilities, amazing food and a bar that showed the rugby with good Guinness!

Its the staff that make this hotel good. It may not be the most modern hotel but that's what makes this a real castle hotel experience.

There was mould on the ceiling in our shower and the gym and pool felt old and outdated.
Walking distance to town and very close to the sea and train links. Comfortable beds and nice breakfast. The hotel made a nice effort at Christmas time with decorations and the staff were very friendly.

The queue for the bar was an absolute disgrace, very unorganised, management need to be trained on how to manage a busy night! The glasses were filthy! The Guinness was off & shouldn’t have been served. My father who had 2 pints was very sick from it! I was speaking to some locals & they said it’s been like this for awhile! Some bar staff didn’t even know what club orange was or types of gin! Another couldn’t pour a pint!

Nothing all was excellent
I took my daughter for her 17th birthday..on arrival reception were very courteous and even arranged a sweet treat plate with Happy Birthday delivered to our room which was a nice touch. very comfortable room and great views of Dublin Bay from our balcony. Highly recommended !

The staff went above and beyond for us atmosphere was lovely we were shocked and happy to have got the bridal suite the retaurant was cosy and food was amazing and again the waiting staff and manager was brilliant

Staff didn't clean the room properly , they didn't clean the shower after use , the room wasn't hoovered properly , they didn't replensishr the water or coffee, the beds weren't made properly. Breakfast was very basic jot very well done

We had no issues.
Lovely room, friendly helpful staff who let us use the beautiful snooker room, and who also let my 8 year old son play their piano. Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Dublin.

Some of the staff were fabulous - had an awful experience with some other staff. Check in was a terrible experience. The night porter that worked last Thursday night was not only unwelcoming and rude, he made me feel extremely uncomfortable when I came down later in the night looking for some water for my room. I had another member of staff shout across a room and me and another 2 guests at a wedding as we were heading to the bathroom during the meal. She shouted at us that dinner was being served and to go back upstairs - by the time we got back into the room, the soup portion of the meal was not served for another 10 - 15 minutes. Left a really bad impression and just general uneasiness for someone who was paying a lot of money to stay in the hotel for 2 nights! Dinner was also extremely poor
Room was beautiful- really comfortable but I arrived late in the evening and was not able to get water etc for my room so would really recommend having a water fountain or something similar that guest can use during late hours

Rooms and hotel is very very dated. No plugs beside the bed. Electricity didn’t work in room and fuse had to be reset. Bathrooms very dated. Steps up and into a bath tub shower. Toilet roll holder kept falling off the wall.

On our 2nd morning there seemed to be a little chaos in the dinig room - there was a lot of smoke from burnt toast, and staff were running around... there was lots of items run out libowls, sausages, no butter on the table, no juice left...
We really enjoyed the decor and cleanliness of our room. Staff were helful and friendl, especially the bar staff who took time in their cleasrly busy shift, to chat
