Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Statesone server at breakfast - Mr. Fitzgerald! Controlled the seating even at 7:30 a.m. before the place filled up. Refused to let us sit in the first section, although the restaurant was mostly empty. A Canadian visitor also had some problem with him. She asked to be seated in the first section so she could see her friend arriving - he refused! Also overheard him direct a third couple way up to the front of the cold serving area, even though they asked to be in the first area. The Canadian visitor's friend arrived - there was some, absolutely accidental, bumping incident at the cold section - she turned to him, and said something, like "wow" and he said to her "I guess someone is having a bad day". We missed our first breakfast, May 13th, our own fault, due to jet lag, did not get up in time; 2nd morning, we were met by a lovely female server who made us welcome, at 7 a.m. and told us it was okay to sit wherever we like; 3rd morning, Mr. Fitzgerald, who seated us in a dark area, even 'tho we requested in the first area, 4th morning, lovely server who seated us anywhere we liked.
Food was great and staff 99% helpful

United StatesWe loved everything.....friendly staff, good bartenders, amazing food and the room was out of a dream. We had a perfect view of the water from the terrace and a wonderful breeze with the open door as we slept. The coffee maker in the room was also truly appreciated.....they also had a delicious cake waiting for us upon arrival for my boyfriends birthday. We can't say enough good things about our stay and highly recommend!

IrelandYou wouldn't be walking into the village from the hotel. It's a bit far if you wanted to walk down for the evening or just to stroll around in the day. Also, not much of a castle.
The location was really nice. Very quiet area. The bar was really nice. Breakfast was nice. Buffet style breakfast with plenty to eat.

I can't say enough about this place! The staff were phenomenal. There was such a wonderful attention to detail. We were there for a special occasion and they made very personalised gifts for my daughter and she felt like a real princess. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone. We didn't get a chance to visit the other restaurants and bar but there seemed to be a lovely atmosphere when we passed them. The pool facilities were great and also very clean. I'd recommend to anyone staying in Dublin and thanks to the staff who made the stay so very special for my daughter.

IrelandI think the hotel needs some updating. We were disappointed with the exterior as we pulled up. Paint peeling etc. The rooms were a little shabby. Dust on shades, marks on walls.
The staff were pleasant. Check in was a bit slow. Only two desks for check in slows the process down. However, staff were very apologetic. The food was very nice in the lobby.
