Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI think that for 199 euros that breakfast should have been included. I think why I am not happy is because I paid I think 24 euros for pumpkin risotto that was meant to come with kale . It arrived with 2 slices of pumpkin. I ordered the meal because I fancied kale. I should have been told that the dish would not include kale to give me the chance to choose something different. I found it mediocre . I was with my daughter and so made no fuss as she asked me not to. I did ask the waiter why there was no kale. He returned to say that they had no kale. It would have been good if a reduction had been made to the bill but I did not ask for one. I was glad to be able to have a swim and realised that I was going at a time when families would be there . I do think though that jumping into the pool and making the biggest splashes possible is not appropriate in a small pool. The attendants made no effort to ask the kids not to jump in. I am not really a person who sees always the negatives but I was disappointed and glad that I only stayed 1 night as our room just overlooked a roof and across to other rooms. I realised I could have paid more for a better room.
I like the area and Killiney Hill and the views from the top.

United StatesWe didn’t spend enough time there.
The staff at check in were polite and professional. WE really enjoyed our room. It was roomy and clean and decorated very well. Wish we had more time in the area. The Dungeon Bar was a fun atmosphere and the personal service we received from both the bartender and the other gentleman that helped us with their new menu items and wine pairings and the rules for the Rugby match we watched made for a special last night in Ireland.

United StatesNo fridge, or microwave. The plastic in the bed and pillows, no reasonably price options for food at the hotel. Hotel was not really a castle so the advertising was misleading.

IrelandThe smell of the kitchen throughout the lobby, poor ventilation and lots of fishy smells throughout the dining loung. The front desk lady was sick with cough and it was incredibñtndisturjing to have someone with no voice coughing and choking on her words, i have a 72 year old mother with me and it was very concerning that management would allow her to greet and check in guests let alone even show up on the premise. Poor form 😖🤔🤢🥴🤧😷🤒🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

New ZealandThis was a great stay - not cheap, but a really good four star in a ridiculously-priced Irish market, that wasn't too expensive. Loved the authentic castle decor and facilities. Got a free room upgrade, which was much appreciated! Great bar and restaurant looked nice. Would stay again.

Beautiful hotel, location and people. Fab food and great staff. In particular the very nice lad working in the leisure centre. He helped us get our special needs son into the pool with his Bag of jellies and his knowledge of exactly how to handle such a situation. Didn’t catch his name but he is a credit to the hotel so please thank him for us ❤️ Beds were also unbelievably comfortable.

United KingdomHotel looks tired from outside. Room tired, bath had huge chips in the enamel, sink overflow dirty.Mouldy bathroom ceiling. Service at breakfast was dreadful - the mature lady managing service was excellent, but the young lads were rushing around pretending to be busy but actually doing nothing- several tables had to pursue tea/coffee /toast - we'd finished eating before it arrived. Very limited food choice at breakfast

United KingdomFor the price of the stay you would expect Not to be awaken every morning at 8am by tye cleaning staff shouting on the corridors, day after day. The room and swimming pool could do with a proper deep cleaning. So if for the high price of their rooms you would expect to rest and be in a spotless hotel, this isnot the right place for you. I would not recommend it to anyone who's aim is to have a relaxing break. I complaint about this to the duty/reception manager who promise to get back to me with a form of compensation... haven't heard from them at all. Fake promises, really disappointed.
Great location. Additionally, food and staff in the restaurant were great.

Woken up at 7.30 by a staff member ringing the room who the denied it. We needed to sleep As we had a 5 hour drive ahead of us.
