Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the bathroom felt a bit old but it wasn’t dirty at all, just seemed like it was..? i don’t know hot to put it
the location was absolutely fantastic, close to bus and tram stops, close to the center as well. staff was lovely, the rooms were clean and modern. i felt safe, nice lockers under the beds.

I don't blame the property for this but some people were making a mess of the bathroom and toilet area.
Location was good, a huge hostel of a type unlike what I've stayed in before, but had plenty of things to do, fun bar, and was all I needed for one short night in Dublin.

In the rooms it was a little noisy.
V simple check in. Nice food/ menu. Large bar/ eating area. The location was fantastic. Close to luas and plenty of bistros. The staff were very pleasant.

- Arrived to someone else being in one of our assigned beds - asked for a replacement fan after the one in our room broke, but never received one (this was after we had followed our query up) - not blaming reception for this, as one of the staff did speak to housekeeping a couple of times about it, but a real shame because the room was stifling, making it uncomfortable. -there were also no clear instructions when it came to checking out, and so had to ask about dirty towels and sheets etc -we were also not offered the wifi or told about the facilities, apart from knowing where breakfast would be served. Again a shame, as we would’ve like to have utilised them more. - also, girls, if you’re staying here, best to book for an all female dorm- especially in the summer time! Unless, of course, you and your friends book the entire room/all the beds.
Location was pretty central and everywhere we wanted to visit was in walking distance. Also, off the main streets, so was pretty quiet at night time.

Location (too far from the city center). Towels for rent (4 euro).

The luggage storage system is not optimal: one cannot know the dimensions (depth in particular) of storage boxes without renting one (also, the staff at the reception couldn't give me a precise answer about that) so one might end up renting a box too small for one's bag.
Beds are rather comfortable and dorms correctly equipped.

The buffet breakfast (which cost 6€) did not have much range or variety, and i felt that perhaps the price i paid for my bed could have included a breakfast of this size and variety. Also, many of the soap dispensers in the bathrooms were missing

There was no shared kitchen for you to prepare your food.
The location was easy to go to the old town on foot or take a bus or tram if you want. It provided all the basic things.

The hostel did not have shared kitchen for food preparation.
It located in a quiet area. The hostel had provided all the basic except a shared kitchen. One could choose to take bus or tram to go to the down town area or just walked a little bit of time along the river. The river view was good and there were a number of restaurants or shops on both sides of the river. The sightseeing points were all inside the main town area. If you didn't mind walking, no need to take any bus or tram.

My stuff was gone (towel & slippers) because of a miscommunication between staff. I was the only guy staying in the room over night and the cleaner thought that everybody was moving out so some of my stuff was gone (thrown away?). I was given a complimentary breakfast and a towel - everybody was trying to fix the problem but the hostel had run out of slippers by the time I moved in so I got none
Convenient location, very close to the centre of Dublin. Nice cafe nearby. The price was the most reasonable amongst all the options available on Booking. Easy check-in. The lobby area has plenty of space. The shared toilets and baths are clean

Snoring room mates but I guess this isn’t the hostels fault. Seems to be popular with young party crowd/stag parties etc so maybe look elsewhere if you are looking somewhere quieter.
Good hostel in Smithfield, Dublin. Good location close to public transport or walkable to centre. Nice staff, let me check in about an hour early as the bed was ready. Comfortable beds and shared bathroom in room. Nice bar area.

I might’ve made a mistake personally when booking the room, but I could’ve sworn I chose all-female accommodations and it ended up being a mixed/mostly male room. I was a bit uneasy and had to double/triple check in the morning to make sure I was the one in the wrong, but luckily, everything worked out ok and everyone was very respectful.
So conveniently located! The bar and food offered here are so good and fun, and the social environment is the absolute BEST. I had such a blast! Would definitely stay here again. The employees here were also EXTREMELY kind and helpful!

The bathrooms were pretty dirty. Seems like they didn't get enough attention. Private bathroom was moldy, so went to public and found the same thing. Missing handles on the shower, no real place to setup a kit inside the shower stall. No shelves and not enough hangers for clothing, and towel.
It was new, and the staff was great!! They had a bar, and other things to keep people interested. Close to the trains and bus line. Walking distance to everything.
