The bathroom in my room was a bit worse for wear.

The host, Sean, was amazing. He was very welcoming and seems to be made to host a bed and breakfast. He had good tips about the area and places to visit and made great breakfast.

I booked the quadruple room as I wanted my kids with me. It fit our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) with two singles and a double - but the double barely fit my husband and I.

Close to Howth, family/kids friendly and separate access

The owner was very friendly and welcoming. As a first-time visitor to Ireland, I had my first Irish breakfast, which was delicious. He also recommended a great restaurant in town, and it was fantastic. The room itself was comfortable, with a retro Sanyo TV which I found it cute. The only areas for improvement were that the room was a bit cold, and the shower was quite noisy when in use

Some maintenance of the facilities could make the experience even better.

I felt at home immediately, because of the warm and welcoming host. The first morning I woke up very early, an hour before the BF was planned. I could find my way in the efficient kitchen to prepare me a pot of Irish BF Tea. When the host showed up at the agreed BF time, he was perfectly OK with my kitchen doiings. He prepared a great Irish breakfast! The black pudding, left on my dish he -as a bird lover- fed to the birds outside in the garden. The day of our departure, at 2 pm, the host prepared us a pot of coffee and after we finished that, he brought us, in his car, with all our luggage to the train station, without any problem, just some natural hospitality!

I wish shampoo was provided along with the body wash, but this wasn't a big problem as I had my own. This is just to note for those who may expect all toiletries. This isn't related to the accommodation, however I walked from the train station to the Bnb, which was difficult at times due to the uphill parts. I would recommend getting a taxi if possible.

I was welcomed immediately upon walking into the property despite showing up slightly later than I had intended to. My room was ready and was as described in the listing. As I was only there for one night, my stay was short. I was going to check-out very early the next day to catch a flight, but my flight was delayed and despite telling the host I wouldn't need breakfast, the host made me a lovely breakfast since I didn't have to depart as early. Though the accommodations are a bit worn and dated, it still felt homey and everything worked as expected (shower, toilet, etc.).

Unfortunately, my bad luck that some renovation/roof work was being performed when I arrived. My room's window was open and electrical extension cords for the power tools from the construction crew were plugged into the sockets in my room, some mess and dirt from the construction in my room. Would have expected that my room would have been closed and cleaned up before my confirmed arrival time. Instead, I had to be the one to unplug and remove the extension cords and clean up the mess on the floor and bed. Furthermore, the bathroom was also being renovated with several large tiles laying on the floor. Not a big deal but a bad first impression of the place.

Great staff and breakfast, superb location

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was hot in the room and smelled like a hint of body odor. The building, especially our room and bathroom need a deep cleaning and paint job. Also the towel rod in the bathroom was broken.

We liked Howth and how close it was to some beautiful hiking trails.

Good spot, fair price for the area, need the expectation that’s it’s an old house.

Nice B&B in a good location, pretty close to Dublin Airport but also in an area where you can walk to many restaurants and shops. Was a full house when there, had to leave too early in the morning but Sean made sure to show where the tea and juice were, where the breakfast was, was a great host.

I can appreciate a trad/retro aesthetic but when there's cracked glass on the vanity and mould in the shower I think it's probably time for a refresh. The room description also mentioned a bath and garden views but my room had neither.

Host was welcoming and accommodating, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Lovely breakfast (cooked and/or continental) and ideally located for coastal path walks.

It had a run down feeling inside and out. The blinds & shower recess in our room weren’t clean, toilet seat was quite loose & wobbly.

The old world character, like staying at grandma’s house. It had a cute little black and white tv in our room, felt 1960’s 😄 Breakfast was wonderful, it set us up well for the day. Room 2 was very quiet. You can walk to the Howth foreshore attractions. Very helpful host, nothing was too much trouble.
