Gorgeous little cabin and stunning location

Our only regret was having stayed for only 1 night. This is a place to stay longer.

Goleen Harbour is a fabulous place. If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere by the sea, then look no further. Our cabin had everything we needed - cooker, oven, shower, a comfortable bed - not to mention the stunning sea view. The surroundings are very quiet and we got to enjoy some peaceful and happy moments. We met Shawn on arrival and he was super nice, giving us a very warm welcome and telling us about some great things to do in the area.

Nothing really

The location is absolutely beautiful, we stayed in Fastnet cabin and it had great sea view. I was a bit concerned about heating as we visited in December but you can set up the thermostat to your liking and it was really warm and cozy. The cabin had great design and large windows that allow you take in all of the views. It was a fantastic experience

The place is so quiet and beautiful. The chalet is cozy and well equiped. Heating is very good on cold and windy nights. Great view to watch sun go down and you can take a walk in nature near the sea. Shawn was super host and so helpful and friendly.

The check out time at 10am was quite early. I appreciate they do have to be cleaned but they aren’t cheap and for 1 night when check in is 3pm and checkout is 10am it doesn’t give you a lot of time to explore the next day without rushing back to try and get out. Especially coming into winter when it’s dark at 5pm. You would definitely need more than 1 night there but again it isn’t cheap! But that would be my only qualm.

We only had a very short time here but the stay was exceptional. The view from the cabin was breathtaking and it was equipped with everything you could need. We booked the hot tub and it is a once in a lifetime experience getting to relax in the fire-heated tub while overlooking the Atlantic. Shawn checked us in and set up the hot tub for us and gave our experience the X-factor by recommending we visit Dunlough Castle. Thank you for making this stay so special and we will definitely be back!!

Was disappointed to have to pay 35EU to use the spa that was said to come with the accommodation (although I understand why, as it takes time to light it and uses up wood) No issue for me- but for other travelers- the toilet at the dome is a well designed dry toilet (bag and sawdust) but there is a flushing toilet less than 100m away. Again not an issue for me- but for other travelers- the “beach” is rock entry (climb and jump in) a beautiful area though.

The geodome is superb. Spectacular view from inside. We watched the sky change from sundown to moon up. Comfy bed, choice of wood fire or heater in room. Layout well thought- great to have full kitchen to use. We had a lovely relaxing couple of days to rest after lots of traveling. Sean was friendly and welcoming and Matt allowed us a late checkout. Thanks- we loved this place.

First line of description says, "This tent comes with a hot tub". The hot tub is not by the tent, and is shared. Its not open for use, and you need to book the hot tub for a private session. We didn't bother as we had a child and needed to stay near tent. Disappointed was not a private, personal use, hottub as I interpreted the description.

The location and quiet is beautiful. Right on the water, you have amazing views and stunning sunsets. Bed is super comfy, and large. Beautiful sea views over night. Great decking to watch the sun go down, or dolphins pass by. Didn't use the fire place, but wood was supplied for us.

Uninterrupted view, which included fastnet lighhouse & cape clear island. Really quiet. While small, cabin was perfectly functional and comfortable.

Wonderful location for exploring west cork. Sea views and privacy. The hot tube is a must. Doesn't matter if it's raining,that adds to the experience.

The scenery will blow your mind. Goleen is so close to lots of other beautiful spots around the coast. Schull, too, is only ten mins away. Goleen Harbour is a little gem. I wish them all the best as they build their business. Definitely recommend a visit. Oh and the hot tub....wow!

our stay at Goleen harbour was amazing and ticked all the boxes for a great family holiday in west cork. Matt and Sean were super accommodating and made sure we were well looked after. they are incredibly hands on and always happy to assist. I would definitely visit again soon the location 10/10 hospitality 10/10 Experience 10/10

The driveway up to cabins was very rough and car was scraping along however this is possibly due to recent bad weather and perhaps in summer may not be an issue. Although not a deal breaker a microwave would be very convenient in the cabin.

Host was very helpful and friendly and responsive,The Cabin was lovely and warm, with option to increase or decrease temp whenever needed, it's a peaceful area and has nice views of the sea.
