Public areas rather tired. Booking.com description leads you to believe this is a hotel spa reality it is more like a glorified pub full of white van men. Noisy security door in the corridor outside my room that banged every time someone used it. I did ask to change rooms but the hotel was fully occupied. Breakfast. Served in a room that resembled a canteen. When I got down to breakfast at 7.45 all that was left of the fried breakfast was two sad hash browns and a single slice of bacon. I settled for continental.

Staff not overly friendly. The room was clean. Very unorganised for breakfast as there was noone at the door to explain that there are 2 areas, one for guests and one for walk ins and we had joined the wrong queue. Bed was,comfortable and room spacious and clean

Bedroom very small. Floor slanted and mattress has seen better days, too soft.
Bar area nice, breakfast and lunch/dinner very good. Right in center of town. Only downside is carpark at back of hotel and you need to walk up hill to access. Pity not entrance to hotel from carpark via the health centre.

Stairs landings etc could do With a refurb and paint … tatty looking but rooms were lovely and comfy

Bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Pub food in hotel was nothing to write home about. Had less than average steak quality for price paid. Parking in front to unload was impossible. Very busy one way street. Hotel staff not willing or available to keep unloading/loading spots in front open for guests.

My friend complained that his bed was uncomfortable (mine was fine).
In the heart of Mallow. Helpful staff. Popular bar / restaurant with lots of people coming for food, although we didn’t eat dinner here. Breakfast is buffet style and everything was good quality and piping hot.

The serving staff for dinner & breakfast were not very attentive. I asked for a drink after dinner, the staff member said they would get it, but then proceeded to go straightening over tables. I was waiting 10 minutes for it to arrive and there was nobody at the bar to serve for that whole time. Also during that time I didn’t notice even one new customer walk into the bar. At breakfast I was never asked if I wanted tea or coffee. The person who came in after me was asked. I was finished eating before somebody came by for me to ask if they would get me a coffee …… there were only 4 people including myself at breakfast. Late at night (11pm) and very early on in the morning (5am) it was annoying to clearly hear the person in the room above me constantly walking around. Finally, there was a long hair on the bedsheets when I got in……. That tells me that the sheets may not have been fresh.

The breakfast staff were friendly but disorganised. One girl serving breakfast and other staff standing around while there was a queue waiting to be served.
