Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We stayed on a Saturday night and understandably it was a little noisy as it was a weekend . But other than that it was great .

Booking in was an ordeal for members of family unless person who booked it was there,was on route . ,even tho it was paid up .woman quite rude ..
Absolutely gorgeous place , spotless clean ...cosy Bar staff were excellent..very friendly particularly Danny . What a lovely young man .

Only minor observations; no desk in room and heating went off at 9pm. Room was a little cold although it was minus 2 degrees Celsius outside.
Excellent food, staff and service were fantastic. Room very clean.

There was a slight musty smell in the bathroom

One evening there were some noisy people outside but mostly there was not much noise form the pub.
The room was large and airy as promised, with wardrobe, dressing table and ensuite. The linen was lovely, plenty of towels and spotlessly clean. The room was serviced every morning and kept beautifully clean. There was a small kitchenette close by for making tea and with access to a fridge. Tea, coffee and milk was provided. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice. I really liked the fruit. The pub served food all day and was constantly busy, so obviously popular. The staff all worked really hard and always made you welcome.

I found it difficult to sleep on the Saturday night due to noise from the adjoining bar But eventually did sleep

I wish there was a shelf in the shower to put the toiletries. It’s a little hard bending down in the shower To get the items off the floor. A towel rack in the bathroom, or hook would be a great addition.
this was such a wonderful place to stay. The location was great, the staff was awesome and friendly, and it seem to be a hub of the town for locals and travelers. Helen, Rita, Eleanor, and Noel we can’t thank you enough for making our stay with you that much more enjoyable. The whole staff was great. I’m sorry I didn’t get all of your names.

The shower outlet (turbo trap) kept blocking - a minor inconvenience. Too many cars parked on the street outside - we parked our van in the public car park down the road, a short walk away.
All people in the Jacobs Well team were really helpful and welcomed us at each part of stay. They provided a great service for our room, our breakfasts and evening meals in the bar. They didn't talk about service - they just did it really well!
