Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Even though the house is located in beautiful countryside it was necessary to use a car to go to a restaurant etc. En suite facilities are not available with the rooms though this did not cause any problems for me.
My room was lovely with great views over the surrounding countryside. Guests had the use of a very comfortable and spacious kitchen/lounge area with TV and comfy chairs. Our hostess left in fresh milk for the ea and cereal provided for us in the kitchen. This was a nice extra. One day she left some brown bread too!

Clean and comfortable room. The bathroom is shared with two other rooms but the other guests were on different schedules so no waiting was required. Self catering using goods provided for breakfast works well.

There was no sign yet/ any more at the front so we arrived at the neighbor's.
Amazing location, we walked to the dolmen in the morning. The hosts showed us to our rooms and as we were the only ones we had a lot of privacy on the whole top floor.

I loved the comfort and chilled relaxing style of the house The surrounding area is stunning in particular down at Narin Beach where there are spectacular view of part of the wild Atlantic way Ardara Donegal Town and glenties Dungloe are all well worth a visit Joe and Aggies were soo lovely and came too pick me up in letterkenny after I lost some of my belonging I highly recommend this place for a mental and physical reset would suggest you get or bring a car would be lovely for a couple too stay

Nothing. We were staying at a different B & B each night to see central/northern Ireland and this was one of the best. We were concerned at first that no one was there when we arrived early but we had forgotten that we gave a later check-in time.
The best part of the stay was talking to another guest staying at the B&B for his job as an archeologist in Ireland. He was very interesting.

Thought there was access to a cooker....although a microwave is available
Great location and handy for Ardara and the surrounding area. Warm welcome from Aggie too. No hesitation in recommending to others.

Kitchen with fridge and microwave. Nice view to the sea out of the window. Everything was very clean. Aggie and Joe are very friendly and helpful people. It is easy to find the accomodation when you use the area code.

We were welcomed on a late check-in, Aggie was very thoughtful and kind. The road at night is dark and we couldn't see the sign on the property so we ended up parking at the next-door neighbour's house. The room was clean and the bathroom is shared with other rooms. The window curtains weren't enough opaque to block the light, as the sunrise starts at 5 am. Overall it was a nice place to stay, we recommend it!!
